        I agree with the poster above. dismantle the whole mess and start over. Too many arms of the govt., making too much money, and doing only what they have to to keep their job.

        Dispickable. My husband works in Pipeline Maintance.HE is a forman over a crew and they have to fix leaks found in gas and oil pipelines, You have to be EXACT when you dig around those pipes and cut out the bad pipe and put in new. There is no margin for error, especially if they are LIVE LINES.
        They catch a rash of chit if they cut a telephone wire or cable wire or whatever, even tho some are not on the scematics of the area.
        IF pipeline Cos. have to mark their lines, why don’t telephone/cable/ etc. have to mark theirs?
        Who did they pay to get by with that while the Pipeline Co.s have to do it?

        So how do “professional” people ‘practice’ law, medicine, science, etc?
        Boggles the mind.

    The people of planet Earth need to fix this. They need to fix the broken governments too. Nothing else can. For Japan, people need to leave. That is all there is to it. Families will need to be adopted. Best way to get the word out is mass email. Everyone send links to enenews, radiation network, etc., to everyone in their contact list.

    The democratic governments must individually and collectively prevail upon the Jap Govt to evacuate the people affected immediately on pain of being hauled up by the people of the world for crimes against all life for all time.They all should immediately come up with a fool proof mechanism to help these people by providing all help ona one time basis. Therefater all those govts must close down in an efficient quick manner all the nukes of the world again on pain of….

          As we know from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it takes years to get cancer. Leukemia takes only 5 to 10 years to emerge, but solid cancers take 15 to 60. Furthermore, most radiation-induced mutations are recessive; it can take many generations for two recessive genes to combine to form a child with a particular disease, like my specialty, cystic fibrosis. We can’t possibly imagine how many cancers and other diseases will be caused in the far future by the radioactive isotopes emitted by Chernobyl and Fukushima.

        i suspect that trying to get compensation out of bp will be like straining a corium through a collander (oops! seems like they have already managed that one? but you catch my drift! :) )…and i suspect it will be the same for the japanese/chinese/korean/etc never mind the food industry (and they will get first pickings i would imagine!! are these big corporations insured? thinking dissapearing pensions here anyone?
        i hope some of these politicians get there arses in gear, or this could get really bad!! :( )

    Diatchi should be bombed into the ocean. Large pits should be bombed right up to the reactors, then the reactors blown into the water. From there it will be cooled and venting will be stopped. Clean the debris then pieces can be collected with robots. As it is now, Fukushima and surrounding areas are ruined. At least maybe they could save Tokyo.

      Very apt and extremely important critical action statement. We must live in health here and now. Thats the correct policy. Just broken every time all the time because its the hallmark of modern civilisation- history begins with the conqueror. Applying the precautionary principle we must form an army of people who are capable of ensuring the shutdown of all these nuclear fuel cycles-all the mines and reactors-and isolate them from the biosphere. Now is the time to start. Start you governments -the people must become strong enough to make the govts do the job with people’s cooperation and leadership. This is an emergency -leading to an extinction event: One statement by Busby that the radiation at Fukushima filter is 1000 times that for the weapons fallout is enough send shivers down the spine.       One “good” piece of news in all this is that Social Security will eventually be fully solvent because nobody will be living past 50 in about 30 years from now or in 2040.

      Medicare will be a thing of the past if nobody gets to age 65. Let’s call it GenieCare. You gotta love the cleverness of humanity to have been finally able to solve these long standing, intractable social issues.

Is it really impossible in the USA to find 50000 people to rally in Washington, NYC, LA,…??? That’s something you’d see on the news channel. Are there no organisations to organise this?

    I know alot of people all over the US, and have been emailing them all the news and they are spreading info through email.

    I don’t go and sign up at most of those places. I know, for a fact, that the govt monitors that stuff.
    I am too militant in my views and I prefer to stay somewhat off the boards, most of the time.
    This time, it was a couple of months of reading before I ‘signed in’ here and got a bit vocal.

    That is what sux about all this. You can’t just post anywhere. You have to ‘sign up’.. well, every time, you are a number and your info is out there forever. I mean forever, it is somewhere.

    I will do the research, but I’m not ‘social networking’ all over the place.
    The only reason I got into it here, is the children. I just could not stand to see them radiate all those children. The people also are very innocent to a degree.

    We didn’t know then, what we know now about this subject and I believe neither did they. They are learning as we are and are becomming very fearful.

    We have been too trusting of our govts. and the corps/wall street goons/ military complex.
    It is PAST time to expose them for what they really are.

    If not done soon, we are going to live under fascism. It is so close now, it is scarey , you can almost smell it. :(

    Everyone goes on and on about ‘socialism’, it is FASCISM we are facing , they won’t be satisfied with just socialism..

    Well, right now, I have to go and spread some more info and try to get this new youtube video out to some sources, and then take care of everyday life.

    Did they ever start a new comments board? I forgot to look this a.m., I will later today.

    They are still waiting for directions from their government officials…and now we all see how critical govt. can be and why we need real, honest leaders there and in the U.S. Cut to the chase–if you have doubts, DON’T WAIT!! These are unprecedented times for everyone. The sad fact is that you can’t trust the govt. over your own commonsense.

    Can’t some of them move to the remote southern or northern Japanese islands??! How much does it cost for a one-way bullet train ride and a long ferry?? Neighbors can pull together and rent a caravan. Their income & lifestyles will change and be compromised. But, now their very survival is compromised and they seriously MUST GO!! They need to follow their God-given survival instinct!! And Hustle!!!

    Moving is not illegal…yet.

      there is the problem of nuclear prejudice and that tends to be a part of the story why people dont move, many real people stories etc posted in the last two weeks show us that….as well as the social and financial restrictions and they dont even have these issues in belarus and more than 5,000,000 people live within the contaminated zone…
      they are trying to get away with a similar thing in japan. connect the dots people, the regulatory boards are aware of this point and because it worked in usa, bikini atoll etc of course they will follow the same format….you just need to know that it is the international cabal discussed in varying depths so far on this site and not just the tepco etc in japan.
      and taking of the iaea, who etc alot of the information lies within this hallowed site (sorry gout that athiests! your included too! :) )
      bottom line the people wont move until there is social pressure from the japanese themselves, and this seems to be happening all too slowly.. we need to research and post relevant info and use network sites and carry on….
      we are discussed in japanese blogs it appears, as well as others and more importantly when the biggest story of the century breaks, there should be a record for researchers and investigative reporters (you know who you are!) to help gleen the truth! that what enenews is from my perspective! peace

    Govmt. to define “cold shutdown”:
    +The government now plans to define the term as bringing reactor-bottom temperatures to about 100 degrees or lower, and substantially reducing the public’s radiation exposure by controlling the release of radioactivity.

    Achieving a cold shutdown has been cited as one of the conditions for lifting the 20-kilometer no-entry zone around the Fukushima Daiichi plant.

    It remains unclear, however, when the lifting would come, as the government still hasn’t decided on benchmark levels of radiation that it deems safe enough for people to return to the restricted zone.”

      The words “achieving” and “controlling” are devoid of meaning in a context where nothing is known about the source of the ongoing radioactivity. Or its plans for World Domination, to coin a phrase.

      The word “benchmark” could eventually be substituted by “goalposts” as the latter are easier to move when everyone’s attention is instead on the ball.

      I guess if they can pump enough water into the corium exit holes they might achieve sub 100 degree temps in the RPV’s, always presuming the holes are deep enough. God only knows what the conditions would be in the coriums though, I don’t think ‘stable’ would be an appropriate description.

      Of course, if they haven’t made a hole then the close proximity to the RPV’s probably precludes the 100 degree target. That would be a fail, and since this is the latest strategy of their own design I’m guessing they’ve already done the math. I’ll go with the deep exit hole theory.

      War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is truth. And you can say you are in ‘cold shutdown’ and things are perfectly safe while the reactor is ‘substantially reducing’ the radiation exposure of the population.
      And no one has come out on the streets, rioting. Maybe someone should schedule a soccer game with the Vancouver Canucks. That would get them moving.
      People are acting like deer in headlights. It’s too late for them to move now, their food and water and air are already contaminated.

    Review this film from Chernoybl, it is a must see.
    On the Chernobyl reactor roof the roof was so radioactive that the many many robots they had back then, all failed do to radiation. Then they started using bio-robots to work 45 seconds — just one time and that was their career. They couldn’t build the sarcophagus until the radiation emission from the roof was reduced.
