Mark Willacy, ABC Reporter: So in your opinion if there was a problem with that fuel pool it would be the end of Japan?

Mitsuhei Murata, Japan’s former ambassador to Switzerland: Yes, there is no one who denies that. We cannot sleep peacefully.

I guess Japan now extends from mainland China to the East coast USA.

One single nuclear power plant can ruin everything. And being forced to coexist with it, is not right.

"The spent fuel pools are of significant concern, Marvin Resnikoff, a radioactive waste management consultant, said in a Wednesday press briefing organized by the nonprofit organization Physicians for Social Responsibility. Resnikoff noted that the pools at each reactor are thought to have contained the following amounts of spent fuel, according to The Mainichi Daily News:

    • Reactor No. 1: 50 tons of nuclear fuel
    • Reactor No. 2: 81 tons
    • Reactor No. 3: 88 tons
    • Reactor No. 4: 135 tons
    • Reactor No. 5: 142 tons
    • Reactor No. 6: 151 tons
    • Also, a separate ground-level fuel pool contains 1,097 tons of fuel; and some 70 tons of nuclear materials are kept on the grounds in dry storage.

The reactor cores themselves contain less than 100 tons of fuel, Resnikoff noted."

THE RELEASE OF RADIATION FROM SFP #4 – 135 TONS – IS LESS THAN HALF OF WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN RELEASED! AND THAT IS IF #4 IS TRULY STILL FULL, WHICH I PERSONALLY DOUBT. WHAT A BUNCH OF ABSOLUTE B$%&@&DS!

This pathetic attempt at diverting the public from the real issues we are facing is disgusting. Shutting down testing stations? Shutting down monitoring stations? Not testing food, air or water around the globe? They are all cowards.

I never realised until I started reading this site the small amount of plutonium and others that can ruin your whole day. To think every major city has one of these monsters around is mind numbing.
