Title: POINT OF VIEW/ Katsuno Onozawa: Government’s lethargic response stresses Fukushima mothers
Source: THE ASAHI SHIMBUN
Date: April 30, 2013

Katsuno Onozawa, a doctor of psychosomatic medicine, who has taken part in children’s health consultations in Fukushima Prefecture

What shocked me the first time I participated in January of last year was the gap between what the newspapers and TV news were reporting and the reality in Fukushima as attested to by the mothers [...]

Wanting to protect their children from radiation, they pleaded with the prefectural and city governments and local doctors, but none would take their side.

They just said things like, “It’s safe. You don’t have to take any special action. There are lots of radiation-phobia mothers, and we can’t deal with them all.”

[...] I was at a loss for words because of these mothers’ situation, and I could not sleep at night because I was so enraged at the government’s heartless response. [...]

Yet the children were exhibiting a range of symptoms including sore throats, nosebleeds, diarrhea, fatigue, headaches and rashes. The most dangerous thing is to write off causes of illness as psychosocial factors with statements like, “Your child’s stress comes from not being able to go outdoors” and that a “mother worrying will make her child sick.” [...]

IT all feels so surreal. a terrible horror show with nobody around to shut off the grand projector. The IAEA, WHO, UN, NRC, et al. are all culpable. Where's the police to arrest them and the judges to throw them in jail?

We're trained from birth to believe that good wins out eventually. We just haven't a clue right now where "eventually" even is…..

We Not They Finally *trained* is the operative word…used to ensure that we passively sit by & wait for rescue or the eventuality or a miracle…while all along we should have been actively stopping this rape of the land, wildlife & people.

"We hereby call forth this May 1st a Global Day Of Resistance. We call upon every person in the world, every city or town, every country; Unite, rise up – and take back the public commons from the oppressors. March in your streets, occupy public space – be free and reclaim your world. And stay. Become part of a world-wide "Global Spring". From Idle No More in Canada to the pro-democracy protesters in Bahrain, on May 1st let us shake the world and the very foundations of all power and authority."

            Are you citing from someone/somewhere?

It's not easy to imagine how we could "take back the public commons from the oppressors" by "marching" on May 1st. Trying to live without electricity for a week by millions would be more effective resistance, I think. (This does not need to be dogmatic or strict; you could make an exception for your fridge and your computer, for instance.) Or how about we start a global movement: "No Christmas Present For No One This Year". That would hit the banksters and the top 1% where it hurts most and wake up some of the sleeping fraction of the 99%.

Its all about the Resistance nowadays. If you hunt a little you will see the Resistance is a real entity. They are readying people who are tuned in, help through the Event which is to occur in our near future. You may know all this already yourself but if you don't, I tell you no lie. These things are all tied in together. Resistance starts with a simple step of saying you don't believe BS anymore. A bigger picture from there emerges. At least it did for me.

I guess that the mutated butterflies must have serious psychological phobias as well?

I believe the people of Fukushima especially among all of Japan are facing a serious level of denial here. If they had to come to terms with the true danger of the situation, the implications would be so grievous that they might be impossible to bear, psychologically, for most people – the consequences would be unthinkable and otherworldly.

Unfortunately, we've been living in a phantasmagorical reality for quite a while now and its a mistake to fall victim to normalcy bias…

The strongest signs of radiation phobia are displayed by IAEA members. Look at this and klick at the picture to enlarge:
    http://www.spiegel.de/wissenschaft/technik/iaea-experten-inspizieren-akw-fukushima-a-894339.html
The headline translates to: "IAEA: Experts inspecting Fukushima"

I'm not sure if there are actually IAEA staff in the picture, but it doesn't matter, because it would look the same. IAEA inspectors (mostly older men who have less to fear from radiation then young women or children) come for a short visit of only a few hours to Fukushima and put on protective gear from head to toe, whereas japanese mothers and children have to live in the area without face masks or any protection for the next 700,000 hours, if they are very lucky (or unlucky depending on how you look at it.)

I'm wondering what would happen, if the mothers of Fukushima would, next time the IAEA comes for a short inspection, show true japanese hospitality and invite the international guests to an opulent 7-course dinner put together from "safe" local produce from Fukushima prefecture: rice, vegetables, mushrooms, lettuce, milk, beef, fish, peaches, sake…

This world we live in has totally and completely turned BIZARRO on us…

    Where are the worlds leader?

    Leader vs. Boss
A boss or handler is there to exploit peoples weaknesses for their own gain…
A true Leader will be there in support of all individuals strengths…
Some choose to Become… but not all can.
