The Emperor is a figurehead, not an active part of the government. And, he is a 78 year old man. God bless and keep him, I wish him well.
I wish everyone in Japan well, they have an incredibly hard road ahead, and the wind is in their faces. As it is for us all. Most people are doing the best they can (it's just that sometimes their best is really bad). God bless and keep us all. As Bob Dylan said, a hard rain's gonna fall.

But it seems the new detection standards may be creating a lot of "ND's" (Not Detected.)

"There is a problem with the new food safety levels."

The way i see it, by lowering the standards, they, (Who ever they are that lowered this standard, possibly in hiding etc. Good grief, who knows.) will make some of the equipment being used at present largely redundant unless the time taken to perform tests is substantially lengthened to make up for the sensitivity of the instruments.

If they (The tests using Sodium Iodide gamma spectrometry.) are not lengthened, then the results might often become "not detected (ND) and passed for general human consumption??

Of course, children will be the most affected in this horrifying case as i am fairly well aware they are vastly more sensitive to radionuclide food contamination if i am not mistaken.

      Here is the whole thread.

They can either lengthen the testing period, or lower the threshold of contamination to make up for the loss of the 10% safety standard. There is a formula, or a formula can be derived for the new threshold. That would mean more food gets rejected.

Of course, the Japanese gov't is more concerned with distributing more contaminated food than it is with safety.

How do you know the Emperor is actually in charge??

Do you know his advisory?? Just because we are so well informed does not mean the other 99% are. Something to think about.

You overestimate his power/ability in light of possibly shoddy information he is receiving, and thus it is better to suspend your opinion until "all" the facts are known

Compassion for TEPCO on the other hand is another matter all together. Particularly until it is possible to have positive ID/information about exactly 'who' and 'what' TEPCO really is, and how this "who/what" is influencing the diseased decision making.

At this time, who and what TEPCO actually is belongs to that which is sometimes called, "X-Files" material.

"There is an Eastern tale that speaks about a very rich magician who had a great many sheep. But at the same time this magician was very mean. He did not want to hire shepherds, nor did he want to erect a fence about the pasture where the sheep were grazing. The sheep consequently often wandered into the forest, fell into ravines and so on, and above all, they ran away, for they knew that the magician wanted their flesh and their skins, and this they did not like.

At last the magician found a remedy. He hypnotized his sheep and suggested to them, first of all, that they were immortal and that no harm was being done to them when they were skinned; that on the contrary, it would be very good for them and even pleasant; secondly he suggested that the magician was a good master who loved his flock so much that he was ready to do anything in the world for them; and in the third place, he…

and in the third place, he suggested that if anything at all were going to happen to them, it was not going to happen just then, at any rate not that day, and therefore they had no need to think about it. Further, the magician suggested to his sheep that they were not sheep at all; to some of them he suggested that they were lions, to some that they were eagles, to some that they were men, to others that they were magicians. After this all his cares and worries about the sheep came to an end. They never ran away again, but quietly awaited the time when the magician would require their flesh and skins."

The Emperor is a victim as much as any of us. The government system long ago cast the royal family in a ceremonial role as a favor to the masses. His family has been blessed with good financial fortune as part of the arrangement and in return the family members do public service projects that have helped many.

On another note…Any royal family medical deaths from illness that even slightly has a hint of radiation causation at this juncture in time will be a rallying cry for the common people in Japan and abroad. For if an elite family can't be protected from radiation then the rest of us are really screwed.

I hope he fares well… I do not wish martyr status for him. It would be helpful to know the health status of all the family members just for public relations purposes. Without news then the people may assume the worst about the royal family.

The Emperor is, or was, regarded as a descendant of the sun goddess Ameratsu.

In medieval times, "A case in point was emerging of the syncretic school that combined Shinto with the teachings of the Shingon sect Buddhism. The basis of the school's belief was that Shinto deities were manifestation of Buddha divinities. Most important was the identification of the Sun Goddess Amaterasu with Buddha Mahavairocana or Dainichi Nyorai in Japanese (the Great Sun Buddha)."

      http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~qm9t-kndu/shintoism.htm

The significance of this is mind-boggling. The analogy in Christianity would be, if Jesus Christ had kids, and somebody poisoned his great-great-grandkid with cesium and plutonium – and then said it was no worse than eating bananas.

The nuke sociopaths in Japan better watch out.

I know the feeling…had to get out in the rain about 5 times yesterday and my umbrella seemed a feeble defense. My chest hurt somewhat on waking up today and I don't like that sensation. I think the cesium threat to heart muscles disturbs me more than strontium or iodine.

If I feel this distress 6200 miles from Japan then I am very afraid for the people within 1,000 miles of Daiichi.

I just try to deal with the airborne toxins as best as possible and still live a semi-normal life. It sure sucks to now regard the rain as a potential enemy when I grew up in a drought area of Texas where rain is viewed as the greatest blessing for continued life.

Most people are oblivious here and love the rain without thinking it carries an invisible hitchhiker. This is my sad world now. But I never wish to be an uninformed carbon form.

I feel bad for the Emperor. He has been bound by his birthright and societal conventions to live at the Palace and eat from the Royal gardens, which are not that far from the meltdowns in Fukushima! His important role in Japan has practically forced him to take on the duty of sacrificing both himself and his family! :( He also seemed like a very kindly, wise old man in his speeches following the earthquake… but, as much as Japanese society tries to hide it, it seems as though their bodies are telling the full story!!!

The Emperor, his daughter-in-law, the Crown Princess, and his little granddaughter Princess all have been hospitalized this fall with serious respiratory disease, which appears tell-tale and unusual….HELLO!
And now his heart condition has worsened… These problems match the high radiation levels they are facing there. :(

They are bearing a lot (and need to do MORE–must call in the world), but the Japanese deserve our greatest compassion and awareness. That is what is making me the most upset now–a seemingly callous attitude by US NRC, the media, Canada, France, etc., in the West!!

I mean they are our allies and friends!! Private sources in Japan were some of the most generous donors in the world to the U.S. when we faced chaos during Hurricane Katrina!! Fact. It was staggering how generous and caring they were to helpless, homeless Americans at that time. One Japanese man came to tears and gave $1 million of his personal savings to provide immediate assistance when he heard about the painful separation of southern families during that disaster!!…. Now that's REAL, proven friendship and we must reciprocate NOW!!!

    Wrong Diagnosis Rant

Treating Cesium contamination of heart tissue with surgery is insanity.

Welcome to world of advanced medical therapy. This is a little preview of what is to be repeated countless times all over the northern hemisphere, in countless hospitals.

    1. Misdiagnosis of Internal Cesium contamination
    2. Surgery and Drug Therapy
    3. Patient Weakness & Death

A Chelation protocol to extract/excrete the radionuclides would be the right therapeutic call. The Imperial family of Japan lives in a known active fallout zone! Internal contamination by Cesium is known to cause arrhythmia in heart tissue.

Those medical idiots are living in a pre-311 world, depending on old school medical training. Our understanding of therapeutic protocols and diagnostic logic must completely change after 311.

Wake up and smell the miso soup!

Before you cut a patient from a known fallout zone. You treat him with non toxic, noninvasive therapeutic modalities that would have the greatest chance of recovery. Given his age and geographic location in a fallout zone, surgery for arrhythmia, as a first option is crazy.

    IDIOTS! DOLTS! IMBECILES! MORONS!

Their ignorance and arrogance will cost him and many others their lives.

I appreciate each of you, each of us are here because we care about those that are being poisoned around the world, most unknowingly.

I too feel the anger & frustration & the disgust at those no matter their position who have not informed the public. My tears & pain in my heart will never be eased becasue I know there is no end until it is the end of us, the human race. My heart breaks for those now suffering & who will suffer from this horror.

I know that the world is run by monsters that control the money around the world. And that their only concern is their bottom line & the amount of profit they made today.

I also know that they will continue to profit from their shares in Cancer treatments & medications & from our deaths.

I also know that we need to continue to speak out & share & even rant, so others know they are not alone. And although we can not stop the radiation poisoning we can ensure our lights will lead others to a place where they can feel our caring & sympathy & vent or scream or cry with us.

Noah that is an excellent point & so very true. I agree that we need more holistic care before surgery or medications are used.

We also need to remember that many doctors have No clue about the amount of radiation & that it is worldwide or that heart attacks diabetes ect are caused by it. So we have to TELL them.

At one time a doctor was held to a high standard & very seldom questioned. Now we know that they answer to pharmaceutical companies & governments. We see parents being refused aid if they refuse vaccines.

You like I refuse to give up or give in, if for no other reason than to make sure THEY know we are here & Not backing down.

~Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around…
