All of us critical thinkers here know from simple cause and effect what radiation can do, even from basic oxidative damage and DNA damage from especially the 24/7 internal emitters. As far as I can tell, no one in Japan (far north?) is exempt from the unprecedented deadly high levels of radiation, so the causation is nowhere near a logical leap.

I forgot to say that you may or may not be aware of the details and our discussion here, but the flawed ICRP radiation risk models are, according to Dr. Christopher Busby’s theory, used by governments to assess risk after nuclear accidents when they shouldn’t be. His ECRR (European Commission on Radiological Protection) created its own model.
If everyone uses those models which don’t properly take all exposures like internal ones into account, then it seems to me we will always be having this causation debate with nuclear apologists. To me, this is key. And they will try hide behind a spoken or unspoken global assumption of correctness of the ICRP’s “science”.

What can you say about Japan’s disaster? Because it is on porous sedimentary rock and landfill, they can’t even stop the radiation with a sarcophagus. Some of the fuel is MOX 2,000,000 more deadly than fuel from uranium. And there is 400 times as much fuel as Chernobyl. And, are there even more meltdowns in Japan?

Yes, there are 2 ways to prove a health problem such as cancer is caused by Radiation:
1- statistics
example TMI: this is how the populations won their lawsuit against the US governement and TMI reactor operator. Read it by your self (I will make any effort for you when you behave this way).
This method can be used in the case of Fukushima. Get the stats that show higher rates of incidence and sue the governement and TEPCO.
2- Radiation signature
Radiation caused desease (such as cancer) live a genetic signature that can only be caused by radiation.
I suspect cesium signature can be foud in this case.

Thus the knee jerk labeling of these conditions… “It was quite common after Chernobyl”… well no kidding, after such intense monitoring of health conditions.

Statistics can be used as proof, and yes, the higher rates of hearth problems after Fukushima is a valid legal proof that it is caused by radiation. People just need to work together with lawyers, health specialists, stats specialits, etc…
Radiation induced desease will often leave a signature on the genes of the patient.

It can be helpful to observe the thought process of people like this. ‘Gives you a better idea of what we’re up against in trying to get rid of the reactors, finding a way to safely (?) store all the waste (as if such a thing were possible), and overcome the ICRP and Health Physics model of “safe radiation exposure” at “low levels.”

Russia has been working to raise funds for a new sarcophagus to be built over the old sarcophagus because of reports the readings of escaping radiation was becoming unsafe and spreading again, as of 2 months ago they were able to arrange the money needed to build the new cover and should soon start construction, 600,000 workers were use at Chernobyl to contain and cover the reactor !

My guess is that the taxpayers once again bailed this nuclear enterprise and paid through the nose by ‘donating’ some more corporate welfare… just like the Japanese people are being extorted to pay for the disaster at Fukushima.
I have heard that despite this devastating accident, this same area is planning on building 15 to 20 more of these same nuclear power plants all around this same area, and then export this power; for sale to the highest bidder.

May be for now it can not be proved, but do not be so shure about the future. This child needs an operation and it will be done most likely. If there is a good investigative will, during this operation, things may become clear. Children`s tissue appeared to be much comtaminated than adults`.

In such a case as this one, is demanding proof of cause to effect link an ethical attitude? Definitive medical proof is notoriously long and difficult to establish, especially when powerful pro-nuclear lobbies effectively block research in areas that don’t suit their interest! There is a growing, persistent, solid body of evidence strongly suggesting that such a link exists, and we know that not from amateur bloggers, but from experienced medical researchers. In such a serious and urgent case, the LOGICAL and ETHICAL behaviour is to demand the stopping or freezing of the suspected cause, i.e. nuclear industry, until a final conclusion can be reached. Refusing to follow this prudent course is simply criminal, unless you happen to have proof that radioactivity at the current levels observed in Fukushima does NOT result in heart defects of newborn babies. Why can’t it be proven? Wouldn’t hair follicle tests, urine tests, whole body counts or blood samples help? Go around his house with meters detecting external radiation and use data from previous dates to include peaks during passing clouds. Take soil samples and samples of the food they have eaten. I pray that would be enough evidence in court. lol

Heavy metal testing and provocation can help detect Cesium for example. I’m not sure about the other isotopes or what would be needed to find them. A doctor’s office in my area is finding high Cesium levels in some of the patients after chelation and heavy metal challenge tests.

DNA damage causes defects. My sympathy to the family of this little baby who faces surgerys. Pray he does well, and lives a long and productive life. My family has suffered from DNA damage..even to greatgrand children. In one, the heart is reversed, which is very dangerous to correct, but as a teen/adult he may not have room for the arteries to pump blood. Those exposed to directy to radiation, of four (one male sterile)-all had throid issues, one woman had two children born without a hip socket, second woman thyroid removal and four still births/no live, one woman three children – two mentally normal but with thyroid issues/noduals,one MR. Then the grandchildren, death of one by birth defects, the above little boy with reversed heart, three thyroid cancers, two autoimmune disease, Only one grandchild has had physically “normal” children. So related to radiation, we dont know. But we surely have bad health luck.
Again, pray for the family of this baby, and others who do not enjoy the health expected by most of us. Sometimes the things we take for granted are desperately prayed for by others. And,yes, we all want to know what caused birth defects/deaths. My child died due to birth defects, and will always want to know why. jec, your story is heartbreaking. I’m so sorry that your family has had to suffer with this, just because of the “money sucking vampires,” as someone called them this week. I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and my daughter was born with a birth defect, but I never connected it to the NPP near my hometown until I came to enenews. It is maddening that the vampires walk free, damaging even their own children’s children.

Yes, some countries are taking action. Germany and several others turned off their nukes.
Japan is down to 3 operating nukes out of 54.
But that still leaves the rest of the world, filled with about 400 nuke plants.
If the Carrington Effect hits next week, which it might, we are all going to be fried toasties, or wienies, take your pick. No survivalist is going to make it through that either.
We need to get them all turned off, permanently. Get ready, the Carrington effect is coming. It is just a question of when. NOthing else matters.
Since it is not happening by choice, we may have to experience more pain and suffering to learn the lesson, without total life extinction, via the Carrington Effect. Nature seems to work that way.. If you violate her, you suffer the consequences.

One way or another, we are going to be forced to learn. If we do not learn and make choices by free will choice, working in harmony with Nature, we will learn the hard way.
What is the ‘hard’ way? How about the consequences of 2,400 nuclear bomb ‘tests’, then Chernobyl, then TMI, now Fukushima, and then something potentially worse, if we refuse to learn. The consequences are a 1 in 2 cancer rate, devastating rates of childhood diseases, 2,400 genetic linked diseases, and a brain damaged, immune compromised future for everyone, including the pro nukers.
