On Jan. 13, an LDP member of the Upper House of the Japanese Diet — Satsuki Katayama — wrote that the gov’t may be concealing a recent hydrogen explosion at Reactor No. 4.

Just then, there was a communication from the ex-council member of Minami Soma City to the mayor [of Soma City] that there was some kind of explosion at Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant on January 9 (probably at Reactor 4 building) and the government is hiding it. I don’t know whether it’s true or not, but if it is, it is probably a hydrogen explosion, not a nuclear explosion.
Katayama says she was speaking with Hidekiyo Tachiya, mayor of Soma City (north of Minami Soma City) when the mayor related the “rumor” to her. But

Now I heard that the city mayor of Minamisoma got the phone call from a former city councilor to tell, on 1/9/2012, at Fukushima plant, (Probably at reactor 4) some kind of explosion happened, and the government is concealing it. I’m not quite sure if it’s true or not, but it probably is not a nuclear explosion but a hydrogen explosion. (Even by a hydrogen explosion, radiation is scattered in a huge scale. I wondered why the person can stay that cool in such a situation. Probably he has already seen hell, he might be used to dealing with the fear and the stress by living in the 50km area.)

Then underground explosion quakes close to the Fukushima coast (perhaps from nuke rods that were hypothetically dumped/bulldozed into the ocean), James2 seeing flames/debris flying on reactor 4, strange editing of Tepco cam feed, spike of radiation in St. Loius and East Coast Australia.
WTF is going on. We really are beyond the first months of this disaster were people used to talk about how to solve this problem arent we?

Tokyo – More than 10,000 people gathered at an anti-nuclear conference in Japan Saturday to discuss future energy, radioactive contamination and anti-nuclear movements in Asia in the wake of the world’s worst atomic accident in 25 years.
The two-day meeting in Yokohama included experts, activists and lawmakers from 30 countries and 200 civic groups from across Japan.
‘Japan has huge responsibility’ to lead the world away from nuclear energy after the Fukushima plant disaster, said Tatsuya Yoshioka, conference chairman and director of Peace Boat.
‘We have a strong feeling that we need to create a network beyond border to oppose nuclear power generation.’
After the plant was struck by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, a series of blasts and fires triggered the massive release of radioactive material into the environment.
The plant operated by Tokyo Electric Power Co suffered meltdowns at three of its six reactors. More than 80,000 residents have been forced to leave the area.
Rebecca Harms, a European Parliament member from Germany, talked to Japanese experts and activists and visited areas near the plant.
‘An overarching question for me is: are people able to learn from the catastrophe?’ Harms said. ‘Good conclusions and strong consequences from the Fukushima disaster are taking place only in places far from Japan.’
She referred to anti-nuclear movements in her country and the crisis in the nuclear industry in Europe.
‘Political impact is very strong in Europe,’ she said. ‘The (Fukushima disaster) has to change the world.’
Japan’s central and local governments ‘must learn the right consequences and the right lessons from Fukushima,’ Harms said.

The explosion inside the melt-down is not like the nuclear weapons,it is basically an dirty bombs.
It explosive force may be little bit large than grenda, or an cannon guns at most.
BUT these explosion will never stop,till the nuclear volcano spread all over the world.
It can not simple reach the concentration required for ANY of an weapon grade explosion.
It will be the dirty bombs blast whereever it meet enough water or moisture, and spark the O and H gas, or any other flamble elelments met with those melt-down ,hot fuel mixture beneath the container vessel of those broken reactors and spent fuel tanks.
All of it is in God and Demons hands now, let’s pray it will not have one or more real nuclear bomb blast, may be by 1/1000, or 1/10,000 chance.
That is why those Japanese weak policitians are prepared for.

I forgot to add all the extra water found in an adjacent reactor basement. It came from #4 spent fuel pool that a) collapsed, b) leaked out after earthquake, c) water table is getting messed up with all the molten corrium running wild underground.

Visible on even the real fuzzy JNN cam view right now
Look for the horizontal white bar that the men were walking on the the other day. Look about 1/4 from the right end of this bar. Just underneath the bar at this point is the pool.
you’ll see active flames going above the bar – you can’t miss them.
I can even see it easily in the wide view without zooming.

HOLY CRAP – LOOK AT #4. YOU CAN SEE THE FLAMES FROM THE OTHER END OF THE COMPLEX HIGH ABOVE THE #4 REACTOR BUILDING ON TEPCOCAM.
THEY LOOK TO BE 100 FEET HIGHER THAN THE BUILDING. THEY’RE MIXED IN WITH THE CRANE BOOM AND TO THE RIGHT OF IT.
As much as I’ve seen in the past 10 months – this is the first time I’m feeling sick to my stomach looking at something…

Frustration comes when you realize that this radiation fallout that is the most horrendous nuklear accident to ever happen in history, and that this is still only really the beginning, is only one among many others in the clouds of reporting around this whole subject manifesting on our horizons.
What happens WHEN another and another are found out to be melting down too? All along something has whispered that there are other reactors that are melting down and we are still yet to learn about how messed up things are in not only japan, but in other places around the world.
It becomes obvious that these demons from a burning hell have been created to profit from, but what becomes more ominous is the real deal fact that it has long been used in the population reduction agenda. You suddenly realize there are other more evil possibilities that will make all this go away some day as babylon runs amok.
They still call it world war.
We have been feeling and seeing a lot, but nothing is normal but the usual, nothing happening here folks, cold shut down, move along please and die.

When we have friends like these it is full scale intergenerational war that is going on, what with the dams unleashing 9.3 MM earthquake like 26 December 2004 Andaman-Sumatra great quake and 9.0 MM Tohoku of March 11 2011. For example, the March 11 9.0 quake had a nuclear weapon yield of 477 megatons of TNT explosion(Ref1). This Tohoku quake was 154 km away from Fukushima Daichi 1 nuclear plant park and thus how many megatons was it when the surges reached the plant? The ENENEWS Web cam discussions and other disc’s have bravely highlighted the crimes of modern civilization’s excesses-intergenerational in character of having nukes and to make electricity supply practical and to meet other water needs after forest destruction,dams- which are creating such megaton explosions via quakes. Many do not understand this because of the utterly stupid specializations- leading to extinction! Against the ramifications of modern civilization’s cumulative positive feedback dynamism, the Chinese and Indian war machine and even that of others pale into insignificance: Just look at the facts applying the precautionary prinzip: 110 million infant deaths worldwide possible till 2010 from 1980 scientifically assuming just 0.1% leak of Cs137 alone in the world’s nuclear reactor inventories just from 1980 till 2010. It is not that other reactors in the world are not being grieviously damaged forever or are in the process of being so irreparably shattered or melted and that only Fuku Daichi 1 or Daini has been targeted by the world’s dams! See in July 2007 Kashiwasaki Kariwa was attacked by the dams! And did I not warn the people! And in the process of the Sikkim quake last year many constructions in Northeast India where huge dams are being constructed were damaged. And in the Kosi fan the dam was hit and the side gate of the canal gave way and the river burst into its natural course. And many a mine was flooded or exploded!
Only that attention of a great many people were focussed on the Fukushima ongoing catastrophe and what an intense gaze it is proving to be! When you look for something you will find it. I have been warning against the depredations of modern civilization seeing the great Bhuj catastrophe and I attention became focussed on the dam! Please people get together and change course! Gandhi gave us the warning call in 1908!We want to live!

Maybe James2 and Nucklechen were correct in asserting there were explosions and/or fire at the #4 SFP. Did it happen on 1/6/12, the day all the fire engines and emergency crews went in? The largest bomb ever dropped anywhere was dropped on Bikini on March 1, 1954. Called Bravo, it was a hydrogen bomb 1000 times more powerful than the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima. The day Bravo was tested, the winds changed once again. Radioactive fallout rained down on the Rongelap and Utrik atolls and on the island of Rongerik. Islanders and American soldiers were drenched with white ash. To the children, the ash looked like snow, and many played with it throughout the day. A Japanese fishing vessel, The Lucky Dragon , carrying 23 fishermen, was also hit hard.
The fallout made people violently ill; many were burned, lost hair, and vomited. Later, their blood counts were low, and some developed thyroid nodules and leukemia and other classic signs and symptoms of radiation poisoning. Much later, the Defense Nuclear Agency called this blast “the worst single incident of fallout exposures in all the U.S. testing program” (cited in Operation Crossroads, p. 304).
In 1968, a few islanders moved back to Bikini, but by 1978 they were evacuated again, because the radioactive cesium (137Cs) and strontium (90Sr) levels in the water and in the soil were too high. More than half a century later, the island is still too radioactive for habitation. The islanders and the U.S. government continue to negotiate, searching for a means for restoring the island’s soil so that it will be safe to live on.

T-Groove, re: symptoms, me too. No sore throat, but fatigued and swollen lymph nodes under my chin off & on this week. Funky sinus stuff going on, strange sensations in chest, and pretty disgusting phlegm coming up 1st thing in the morning. Am running two new Plasma Wave HEPA filters in our house on High, 24/7.
Bummer. I really used to like the outdoors. The weather has been nice, and I feel like I cannot enjoy being outside any more.

Hi HoTaters, please tell me more about those strange sensations in chest. When my coughing and phlegm was especially bad, I had something like slight, short cramps in my chest – not from the heart but on the right side from the muscles I think. Thought about an inflammation of the diaphragm or something like that, too. Is it something like that what you experience?

My only comment on the article is this.
If it were an explosion in #4 – then there is no way it’s a hydrogen explosion. Hydrogen is lighter than air and has to have something to contain it.
There’s nothing to contain hydrogen in Unit 4. Could have been a steam flash, or a small nuclear blast.

Could be steam and some (noticeable) amount of hydrogen from zircalloy oxidation in the pool if water’s close, at or below assembly level. The pool is quite deep, the hydrogen wouldn’t necessarily dissipate to non-explosive very quickly. But the reaction would be immediate and entirely obvious – there would be huge amounts of steam/smoke, not just occasional blows.
But if water’s that low there shouldn’t be any workers actually on/in the building, even kamikazis – they wouldn’t live long enough to do anything about anything (in the range of 10-20 Sv (10,000-20,000 Rem) above the pool, enough to kill in mere minutes, debilitate in seconds). Machinery could dump stuff on/in the pool, that’s about it. No human robots needed in such an event, they’d be useless.

Hmmm… actually, minus my mistaken factor ten (1,000-2000 Rem), they could live for a few days. If they only spent an hour there. But what good could even suicidal workers do in such a situation? They can’t personally carry enough ‘stuff’ to dump into the pool. They could maybe be trying to cover with a tarp or something, but that would just hold the hydrogen in – big blow up, so that wouldn’t help at all. Maybe they’re just removing assemblies. Still a fatal job, but somebody’s got to spot the crane hooks. They wouldn’t last long.

It could be that the pool collapsed. If that happened, then the water would dump out, and all the fuel rods would jumble together, which might then trigger a meltdown and/or criticality and then some kind of explosion, just like the #3 spent fuel pool.

I wish someone knew of a site giving wave forms from Japanese (or Asian?) seismic stations. If the wave forms for the EQ’s could be analyzed, there’s a possibility the origin could be determined, i.e., natural EQ’s (or not).
Do any of our Japanese members know of seismic monitoring websites giving data on the seismic stations? They are typically located on high ground, or mountaintops.

It hasn’t snowed where I am, not even much rain. And the times I’ve tested I get moderately high readings, but not even as high as some I’ve found in the past.
I stay indoors more, though. With the cold weather (it’s not that cold, though), radiation and chemtrails, it seems safer…

Sacramento (east is Sierras) and all central valley cities on down Cal. have had significant radiation spikes (compared to coastal cities)
Yuma AZ has been hit very hard. There is a mountain ridge immediately east of Yuma.
Phoenix too, although less so since Yuma is west of it.

The dispersion is typically displaced such as gold in a rivers stream.
Think of the particles like placer gold to black sand. These are heavy isotopes to some degree, But they collect and follow a general current (the jetstream).
Mountain ranges, drops, and rises in elevation as well as the speeds of the current affect the deposits of these heavy isotopes.
The first factor would be distance. Which is dependent on the particles buoyancy and projected distance. The main bulk that escaped containment into the atmosphere will fall in a distance dependent on the individual isotope weight.
You would have to calculate the mass of the releases to estimate their isotope ratios, by class vs. Ratio.
Once you calculated the main releases on dates selected. You would multiply the distance, of the particle travel time, by the drops and rises of the jetstreams course, factoring in the changes of speed and vector while on its course.
After this we would know.
What the ratio of isotopes are by estimate.
How far east they physically were able to travel.
Where the masses likely deposited.
Which areas would be more likely to Have heavier elements. (the former). and Which areas likely have lighter element isotopes (the latter).
The reason I use gold as an example is simple. It deposits. Just like radiation.
So Yes anne. You are correct. When traveling a eastern vector each and every rise in elevation disrupts the plume of radiation. Allowing the heaviest particles to escape to the riverbed (or in this case ground below).
Also most cities reside in valleys. As it is more economical to have residencies distributed on flat geographical surfaces, than in mountainous terrains. These areas also collect and keep large masses of water (or air in this case). in their clutches due to their lover level of elevation.
Lastly the river has winds. In each wind, there is typically a larger deposit in the winds of the river due to the slowing of currents…

The simple logical is that, if those cripled reactors all in cold shout-down,not hot melt-down, they can just put the water inside those reactors and spent fuel pools, and remove all of those nice little rods out of those tanks, and put them into other safe storage tanks.
It will not take more than years as they claimed, and all of their remaining broken and shot-down reactors can back into business.

Well said although they admitted they melted down at least, so a mess as bottom of reactor, although more likely they melted through, and also IMHO melted out, at least some. 80 tons of hell in each reactor on average, thats a lot of hell.

theres no possible way the fuel couldnt have all melted through. i work with steel a lot, cutting welding bending etc. steel melts at between 2600 and 2800 degrees F. the corium is definately hotter than that by a long shot. when the fuel initially melted the temp may have been as high as 5000 degrees F. an oxy-aceteline cutting torch will cut through 1″ thick steel in about 10 seconds and the temp of the flame is around 6000 degrees F. place a 50 ton blob of fuel briming at around 5000 degrees F at the bottom of a steel reactor vessel and the vessel itself wouldnt last an hour. the temp combined with the weight made the RPV fail within 2 hours of the melted fuel hitting the bottom of the RPV garanteed. the reports of a workers shoes melting when he tried to step on the catwalk confirms this.

San Francisco has shown consistently higher than normal background CPM’s for at least eight days, now (per Radiation Network). Salt Lake City has also been really high, and consistently so. Yesterday SLT’s level hit 76.

Do you ever use Yin Chiao tablets? Elderberry? Hyssop? These might help. I’m immune compromised, so I rely on these a lot. They can be very helpful. I’m getting some symptoms, too, but detoxing and taking preventive measures seems to be keeping it under control.

Sorry to hear about people feeling ill. On rense.com home page, toward bottom, there is link with suggestions re what to do to try to help your body deal with the radionuclides. We may not be able to afford and do them all, but doing some of them is certainly a good idea.
I went to health food stores today, got zeolite, bentonite, probiotics … Bill Deagle says probiotics help a lot (take ‘probiotic pearls’ coated with gelatin to carry the live micro-organisms past the stomach’s digestive juices). Deagle says best thing to do is learn about these things that you can take and do, & then take and do them; our exposure is on-going & we need to try to continuously flush as many radionuclides out of the body as possible, & beef up our systems with healthy diet, supplements, & now is the time to AVOID ANIMAL PRODUCTS – animal bodies are ‘bio-accumulators,’ & actually the healthiest diet is vegan anyway. Lots of data supports this.

Mycorrhizal fungal hyphae may inherit the earth. Did you watch the video someone posted the link to, “Six things you can do to help the earth” ? Apparently mycorrhizal fungae gobble up radiation like it’s candy.
I wonder how peat mosses “like” radiation? They utilize nasties like oil as food. Maybe some of the plants around us can help put things right.

Speaking of which, the “elites” surely must have knowledge of some of these things you and I don’t possess.
And (O/T) has anyone noticed how much time Prince William and Princess Catherine have spent in the So. Hemisphere since 3/11/11? And now the government (or family?) is trying to have him stationed in the Falkland Islands for several years.
My off-hand guess is it’s to protect the precious royal gonads from genetic damage.

Compare the first list you shared, and the second… What a difference!
Obviously, the first list creator and most other lists show ONLY the short lived elements.
Reality is sad, but there is a LONG list of VERY LONG HALF LIFE ELEMENTS.
The more plants that blow up and melt down, the greater the load the whole planet and everyone on it will bear.

Amazing to think that nearly all toxic radioactive materials didn’t exist before 1944. All manmade, in last 70 yrs, will last millions.
They found a glass bottle in a rotting safe buried at Hanford, I read on National Geographic’s site, that has the oldest Plutonium created, from 1945 they say. Before that, a pristine planet… innocence.

From what I understand, almost all of this ‘natural’ radiation is locked up inside of rocks.
The problem with man made radioactive elements, is that we free these radiation elements and push them out into the air, where those pesky long lived elements can roam around the whole world, polluting everyone and everything for millions and billions of years..

Not only that. Uranium when it is locked in a rock is still devastating to human health. In one place in Australia where there is now a uranium mine, in the past the natives called that place the place of sickness. It is one of the lies of the industry that says that uranium in its natural state is safe. It is NOT.

To explode, explosive gas (hydrogen) must make an explosive mixture with oxygen from the air (21%) and INDOORS. How can explode in a meadow, or in those ruins? It may be possible to burn but not explode. If something exploded, it was not the hydrogen.
