March 30, the government has announced that the reorganization area evacuation of three new radiation dose is high the area “Evacuation Plan” and “warning area” within 20 kilometers from the nuclear power plant Fukushima Daiichi so far. “It was a new standard is not a distance from the primary, more than 50 mSv per year. Is the amount of radiation actually in that area” the area difficult to return home “, of 20 to 50 millisieverts” restricted area residents ” can be divided into the following three 20 millisieverts of “assisted evacuation preparation area” “(reconstruction agency officials) become difficult to return to the area, let alone live off limits itself will be banned. Among such, but we have obtained a map created by the government plan of “return difficult area”. On the map, the black line is drawn in the direction of the northwest from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, part of Fukushima Prefecture area had been surrounded by that line. Is area “difficult feedback that off limits” to be expected this is more than 50 mSv radiation dose during the year. Is a map agency reconstruction has created “, the area was surrounded by a wire residents is black not to leave, a figure it plans to blockade at the barricade “(reconstruction agency relationship supra) the total length of the blockade line also extends to 88 kilometers. At this time, the coverage, even in the inhabitants of the district be the barricades blockade, some people do not know the existence of the map. Why is the government orchestrated the blockade barricade without informing the local people. Blockade, Why and when to be carried out from. Such as the case be torn drawn a line in the village and the town council from the same local “, the problem has erupted. For this reason, as the government. Does not progress at the end of May a discussion with local governments Agency and the reconstruction I would like to determine the areas blockade, do not know what will happen “(official agency and reconstruction supra) builders fact, that I’ve seen photos of the barricade, the coverage of this report on condition of anonymity to the absolute replied to. “I feel like the panel I think I was a pretty big is like iron, likely more than 2 meters. It's a start.

What I mean is: it's a start to recognise that the contaminated land needs to be protected for processing and for the ex landowners householders and businesspeople from that area to understand that something definitive has happened.

Until I see a clearance programme in place and working there is nothing more to say.

I agree, Misitu. It's important though incredibly painful for the people who lived there, and the government admits visually that things are bad enough to declare this land off-limits.

There will be lots of animals trapped inside, while others (at least those who can't fly) will be held back.
What are we discussing here? It's so f*cking sad.

A team will go there and shoot the animals down if not already done, same thing is done at Chernobyl. Not a pleasant thought :(

Hmm, this smells more like a government handout to construction companies than it does anything actually useful for the Japanese people.

I'd rather they use those allocated funds for the more pressing issue of the out of control reactors. It's a start though.

I agree this seems like a waste of energy, time and money which should be used securing SFP 4. As for the wall they should have been addressing this a year ago like the Russians building underneath but unfortunately the plants location cannot accommodate this type of action. What a mess beyond human capabilities. But a wall? I'm sorry it just does not make any sense if someone can correct my view please post and explain why this is necessary as it only prevents people access and who in their right mind would want to go in? I just don't understand.

The same thing happened in Russia. They have four categories of exclusion zones, and they post guards at the entrances to these areas.

The Exclusion Zone was established soon after the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, in order to evacuate the local population and to prevent people from entering the heavily contaminated territory. The area adjoining the site of the disaster was originally divided into 4 concentric zones. The most contaminated zone had a radius of 30 km (19 mi) from the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The border of the zone was later adjusted to better parallel the locations of highest contamination.

The territory of the zone is polluted unevenly. Spots of hyperintensive pollution were created first by wind and rain spreading radioactive dust at the time of the accident, and subsequently by numerous burial sites for various material and equipment used in decontamination. Zone authorities pay attention to protecting such spots from tourists, scrap hunters and wildfires, but admit that some dangerous burial sites remain unmapped and known only by recollections of the liquidators.

  • Yeah that will keep radiation from leaving the facility !

Lets be busy building a wall until you die from radiation !

Stupid is as stupid dose !

A wall!? 2 meters (approx 6 ft high)–will not stop dust or evaporation..or the emissions into the atmosphere..or the contamination of the ground from the corium. So..if Japan was serious..they would have contained this disaster with a cover like Chernobyl, and also provided an underground barrier UNDER the reactors. Now it probably too late. And the concrete being placed on the sea bed..now not a real rocket scientist..BUT. If I was to put an object on top of the sea bed..while something HOT bubbled up water or gases..that object would be just slip sliding around and becoming a "top" for a pot. When the 'POT' boils..the contents run over. Similar to what could happen to the concreted area. They should have done a wall DOWN into the earth as a barrier..and then UNDER towards the reactors just above the groundwater level…to stop the flow in that direction. Bit late now. One other small issue..the corium is hot..and tunnels thru concrete..and melts steel..so what could be a barrier material? Just walking thru the possible approaches gives a headache. And the 88KM fence..is like visual frosting on a cake..or the "polyester material" TENTS used as eye candy for webcam views and visitors. Sad. Tragic. WE are all in trouble. One world.

A make work project that will use radioactive building materials no doubt.

Think of the walled area as a radioactive hiding place where TEPCO can hide all their radioactive waste material without any supervision as to how they dispose of it into the environment!

By spreading money around TEPCO and their Gov't regulators hope to secure more loyal flunkies that will support yet more Nuclear Fascism* in Japan…

Might keep the people out, but it certainly won't keep the radiation in. A few years from now they need a 188 km wall, the a 288 km wall, …

Nature does not care about walls and the ground water will become yet another "conduit" for the radioactive pollution to escape so that it continues to make Northern Japan ever worse!, , at least for several lifetimes!

Japan's Leaders need to start thinking outside the radioactive BOX…

If the Japanese were smart, they would dedicate this area as a mock Lunar Base, a "practice" area and then develop it the same way they would develop a future base on the Moon…

This would allow the other counties that are interested in planning a lunar base to join together with the Japanese and figure out how to use NEW Radiation-Proof technology to work in a radioactive environment, while still here on Earth. While they are doing it they could also develop a HUGE Solar Farm, whose capacity could be used by the Japanese, (instead of a lunar base)!

TEPCO needs to governed by an International Board that will guaranty that what happens from now on always puts public safety ahead of PROFITS…

They really have some stupid ideas to spend the money on, don't they. 2 meters high? What's that going to do? Ah, "out of sight, out of mind".

I doubt that will work with the two headed kids with the cyclops eye in the delivery room….

The stoic Japanese people need to watch the 7 parts of this documentary about Chernobyl's latest crop of Children, the new kids.

Pay particular attention to the little boy tied in the chair in Part 2 because Belarus doesn't have anesthesia for him when they cut tumors out of his throat to clear his airway and keep him alive. Don't eat before watching THE TRUTH ABOUT NUCLEAR DISASTERS.

I expect a lot of abortions, and no information about this. They know pretty well about Chernobyl. Cancers and dementia in adults will shock! And thyroid problems of all kinds. Heart attacks and infertility are just a blessing in this slaughter house. Can someone build a wall for this? Mr Busby told them the right thing to be done – pile up, cover and mark it.BUT, the decontamination may start 10 to 30 years later, now is the time for evacuation. Just an opinion.

Just think if someone got in there and they could get a hold of some stuff to dirty bomb us. Maybe the fence will protect us. Oh wait, we are continuously being dirty bombed already. Wake up EARTH
The Japanese Powers to be are more interested in re-starting their reactors than protecting their people and or all of US downwind!

If the North Koreans tested a NUKE and even a percentage of the pollution that is coming from Fukushima came to Japan or heaven forbid North America their would be saber rattling!

Why is Japan allowed to pollute the Earth without any MSM comment?

How many Politicians will benefit from this Nuclear dirty money?

The Japanese government continues to strengthen it’s prospects of providing electricity from nuclear power in Japan, when a commission proposed that the government introduce background checks on workers at nuclear stations. Japan ‘s nuclear industry has been exposed for using illegal workers at nearly all of it’s nuclear power stations, usually saving these sub-contract workers to avoid the Employment Security Law which is designed to ensure proper working conditions are in place.

The commission has been discussing ways to strengthen security at nuclear facilities in light of recommendations from the International Atomic Energy Agency. The background checks may cover criminal records and financial situations such as loan balances.
