No. 1, 2 plants’ reactors written off
National policy minister Motohisa Furukawa has said that reactors 5 and 6 at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant and the nearby No. 2 power station should never be restarted.Furukawa made the remarks Thursday while meeting evacuees from the village of Kawauchi during a visit to Fukushima Prefecture, Mayor Yuko Endo said.

Really?..this statement is in effort to keep the people from questioning the conditions of 5 an6..and Daini and the 14 others mentioned by Hosono.
http://enenews.com/must-see-report-introduced-by-top-govt-official-hosono-actually-other-reactors-are-all-in-considerably-severe-condition-besides-fukushima-daiichi-14-reactors-total-dai-ni-onagawa-tokai
What is getting "written off" is the fauna and flora of planet Earth.

In order to provide the reactors in Fukushime from the bottom you have the mechanical tunnel.
Then insert the two meters in diameter with 20 tubes. , Do the holes from the top and side, and on the bottom line fire resistant ZrO2. For large pipes enter the small tube to remove radioactive leaks or cooling corium had reached there…

Certainly not the cheapest, but it will give guarantees that the radioactive materials do not enter the land and ocean

Nuclear reactors are death machines. Slow, agonizing cancer is what comes from them. And they only supply 15% of the world's electricity. We definitely don't need them. At all.

I'm sure that they've known this since March, 2011. They should have evacuated most of Japan if not all of it. They just probably didn't want any lawsuits from the rest of the world. They should have voluntarily kept all their exports at home. Of course, the American companies there and their owners (like Warren Buffet, etc.) (like G.E., etc.) didn't want to face any lawsuits either or to give up what they thought was glory. All the criminals who have participated in this cover up should be in jail.
The Japanese beef was probably exported to the elite here. Too bad they have been eating it. All the radioactive cars and car parts are all over the US by now. The Roman civilization sterilized themselves cooking in lead pots. We have a lot of worse toxins and learned nothing from history.

I would imagine that all the goods and food also coming from China and Korea are also too radioactive for use. Another way to look at it is that it is probably too horrible for any kind of remediation anyway.

You're at the forefront of this, anne. You know, and most of us here know, what's going on, and what's coming. Horrible is only one of the words to describe what has been unleashed on life on this little marble in space we call home.
I'm constantly reminded of a very story that, in a strange way, seems to sum up what is happening:

…a real genius statement. Wonder if he has anymore bright ideas?

Why Daini? Too radioactive to work on-site? Or maybe a lack of workers?

July 4, 2012, Fukushima Watch: At Fukushima Daini, It’s Safer Inside Than Outside By Mitsuru Obe. Wall Street Journal
"At the Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant, it may be safer inside the reactor buildings than it is outside them.
JRT, which went on a media tour of Daini on Wednesday, found that background radiation levels in the plant compound were around 0.5 to 1.0 microsieverts per hour — some 16 to 33 times higher than prior to the March 2011 accident.

Maybe getting too hot!

The sea water corroded all the pipes, etc.

Also the earthquake destroyed all the cooling systems also and the fuel melted through.

However, one MUST look at the WSJ weekend REVIEW section which features an unbelievably blatant 2- page propaganda piece which declares that there is nothing to "panic" about. It is UNBELIEVABLE. Sorry I don't have a link. Probably have to pay to see it. I saw it at the local library. Maybe someone else can find a way to put it up here. Sysops?

thanks Anne, seems this article has hit a few raw nerves as it did mine. Glad I pointed it out. Is there another thread that it should be posted to? Feel free to do so. This is a desperation move so there must be something big coming if the propaganda machine is working overtime. I mean, why would the WSJ print this?

The Wall Street Journal is a propaganda machine.
I've found many instances of outright Fukushima propaganda by the journal and other mainstream media, which I've been trying to bring attention to and debunk

I saw the article you linked this morning and I felt so exhausted and so hopeless.
It is hard to wake up happy sleepers while struggling against the forces of evil who control nearly all major institutions in our world.
Too many of our mainstream media are just as likely to manufacture the news, as report it….
This is most definitely one of those instances where consent is being manufactured and the public is too weak/passive/frightened to want to wake up.

RICHARD MULLER is the author of this WSJ article. He is in my opinion a criminal and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for disseminating false information in a subversive way.
His comparisons are not comparisons. Living in Denver cannot be compared with ingesting a 'hot' particle.
The misdirection and rhetoric are UNBELIEVABLE!
When I read that 'crap' it makes me want to explode sort of like Reactor #3 did.
The point here is…
The propaganda will NOT STOP… EVER!
Basic Facts:
10 million bq/hr being released with no end in site.
526 Days… ongoing.
Mutated Butterflies.
etc…
Nuclear Power is a dead end road.

"Living in Denver cannot be compared with ingesting a 'hot' particle."
Well, actually, Denver is closer to the jetstream than any other major city in the US or Canada, more rain than many areas, so I'd say Denver is proportionally more radioactive from Fuku radiation than most other cities. Denverites have been inhaling quite a lot of 'hot' particles.
Have a glass of water, Mr. Muller, and take a deep breath, those cancer rates be risin'.

Richard A. Muller (born January 6, 1944) is an American professor of physics at the University of California, Berkeley. He is also a faculty senior scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

The LBNL was founded as the Radiation Laboratory, but its ties to nuke world are less clear today.

Thanks CB, a bit more digging – Muller's site is, um, idiosyncratic for an academic: http://www.muller.lbl.gov/
I was going to blather on with my opinions but it's probably better just to cite some links and let people sort it out for themselves.

Hmmn, there's an easier way. He makes lots of headlines. Google "richard a muller wall street journal" – pick any hits at random – it's not boring! See what kind of nuclear expert the Wall Street Journal uses. Hint, it's not the Main Street Journal. Oops, did I just reveal my opinion?

Wow!
Excellent finds Aigeezer….
This is such an outrage, but it reminds me of that faux professor from San Diego State who previously worked at nuclear plants…

His latest book linked here. The overview pasted below is from a comment:
http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Future-Presidents-Science-Headlines/dp/0393081613/ref=la_B000AQ4JZ6_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345339942&sr=1-1
The book itself is a review of what scientists know about the energy problem not only in the United States but worldwide. In Part I of the book, entitled "Energy Catastrophes", Mr. Mueller discusses two recent energy disasters using a non-emotional analysis. One of the disasters is the tsunami in Japan that damaged the nuclear reactor site as well as homes and factories and human lives. He feels that the nuclear part of the disaster has been grossly overstated and he gives his reasons for that conclusion. Many people around the world wanted to completely disassociate themselves from nuclear energy after the Fukushima disaster. However, Muller believes that nuclear energy is still a safe energy source and it is important that we not give up on it. He also discusses the Deep water Horizon accident in the gulf, which spurted oil into the sea for seemingly endless days. He also felt that the damage was grossly exaggerated and attempted put it in perspective. He felt the cleanup activities worked well.

Creepy stuff, majia. I just stumbled on this oddity – just when we're getting used to Muller in his new role as pro-nuke shill, he is attacked on a very pro-nuke site for being a Natural Gas shill:

It looks like spin artists are tripping over each others' stories. The net result for the public is classic Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt – which is perhaps the intention all along.
