Hackers target Japanese govt. websites

Japanese government websites have been targeted by hackers. An international hacking group, Anonymous, had earlier threatened to attack official sites.
The Finance Ministry says it shut down part of its website on Tuesday after the content was tampered with.
The altered page carried a photo of an overseas protest rally and a superimposed message opposing the restart of a nuclear power plant in Japan. A statement by Anonymous also appeared on the site.

Offline protests: "Activists protest against TEPCO
Environmentalists and citizens groups are protesting at the site of a shareholders meeting of Tokyo Electric Power Company.
The protesters from Japan and overseas gathered outside the TEPCO meeting at a gymnasium in central Tokyo on Wednesday.
German conservationists passed out leaflets describing TEPCO as the world's most environmentally-destructive company in 2011. They urged stockholders to conform to the public shift away from dependence on nuclear power.
Young activists held up banners asking shareholders to abandon nuclear power generation. The activists linked up for the protest on the social network Twitter.
One of their banners urged TEPCO to restore Fukushima prefecture to what it was before the nuclear accident. Another said the proposal to restart TEPCO's nuclear reactors to revive the company is unthinkable.
One activist said the nuclear accident at Fukushima is still not over. She urged TEPCO shareholders to support the anti-nuclear proposal to stop forcing people in the regions to accept the burden of nuclear energy for the major cities."

Now the principle behind this statement is a fact worthy of praise and I bow(!) reverentially to all those protesting nuclear power programmes, whether in Japan or on enenews or in Tamilnadu or Jaitapur, etc. Action is required and many ways are being implemented and were it not for the blatant dictatorial adamancy of the thoghtlessly ignoring attitude of the authorities, wanting to implement such a scam without any pure reason, and thankfully for the peaceful persuasive manner in which scrapping of the programme is being asked for instead of application of an instantaneously winning force(?) on the rulers, the world would have been infinitely risk free of the additional effects of ionising radiation for all time, starting now. We must continue till the value of the abandoning of nukes is fully secured. When the energy audit and the health effect audit reveal that it is madness to choose nuclear energy, it is nuclear war that is being waged on all life for all time. Leaders of nuclearised nations, stop nukes now.
