Japanese Veterinary Physician: Rate of deformed babies in Tokyo area will skyrocket from Fukushima disaster — “People who were there should not marry at all costs”

August 30, 2012 report in the Fukushima Minpo translated by EXSKF:

Regarding the remarks that have been condemned as inappropriate by Mr. Hobun Ikeya (age 70) of the Ecosystem Conservation Society of Japan in a lecture in Tokyo, Mr. Ikeya released part of the transcript of the lecture to the press on August 29.

According to the transcript, he said, “It’s not just Fukushima, you know, people in Tochigi, Saitama, Tokyo, Kanagawa, people who were there should not marry at all costs”, and “If they get married and have children, the rate of deformity in babies will skyrocket.”

Mr. Ikeya is a practicing veterinarian.

More from Ikeya:

“I wanted to emphasize the heightened risk of DNA damage and deformed babies due to radiation exposure. I discussed generalities, and had no intention of discrimination.”

    Research in support of Ikeya:

"Jenkins wrote: "Cattle absorb 25 to 30 percent of the ingested strontium, with about 25 per cent reaching the bone. A few days after entrance of radiostrontium into the body, about 99 percent of the remaining amount will be in the bones."  Jenkins cited a UNSCEAR Report (1977) that stated '"In general, it may be said that 90Sr in the diet comes mainly from milk products, grain products, fruit and vegetables,"…milk products contributing about 30 percent of the strontium-90 transfer from food in the areas studied.'

SP: Mother's milk behaves the same.

"And there were other worries. One fifth of the male high school graduates of the 1950s and early 1960s in Cedar City discovered they were sterile,…. For those who became parents, there were fears of genetic damage.

Elizabeth Catalan, who was a teenager while growing up in southwest Utah during the 1950s, lost her father to leukemia when he was forty-three, and a sister to complications from an enlarged thyroid. A surviving sister's daughter remained on her mind: "I watched my beautiful little niece, Kay's child, cope with the birth defect that left her with a ganglia that doubled the size of her tongue and wound around, like a weed, inside her neck and down into her shoulder." Elizabeth Catalan thought too about girls she grew up with, now women, coping with aftermaths of miscarriages and physical abnormalities in their children"

See the book: American Ground Zero – The Secret Nuclear War by Carole Gallagher …. T☢☢ many stories with images that prove the USA and other countries tested radiation on people and then just made the test SECRET…

    What a Nuclear Waste!

  • All of the damage to ALL living things, from all of this, is unmeasurable!

When DNA and chromosomes become 'broken', they cannot be fixed.

'The FEAR' of genetic damage should not exist.
'The RISK' of genetic damage should not exist.

    "EMPHASIZE the heightened risk…"
    "…deformed babies"

A woman in Seattle had a "miscarriage at 21 weeks" this spring..but the baby boy LIVED, is now at term and 9 lb weight. FOUR months in NEONATAL ICU-and still in the hospital. Japan medical doctors and hospitals need to be aware the increase in pre-term births will skyrocket medical care needs for early births due to nuclear contamination, as well as defects. The parents will not put up with continuous medical abortions and sterilizations. Or if they do, they will certainly be genocide victims.

"The realities of life as a child of Japan, Canada and the United States, and now the rest of the world, are harsh indeed. Their developing bodies are keen to absorb nutrients to aid growth, so their cells unwittingly take in huge quantities of radioactive material. And since a significantly large amount of the Fukushima disaster’s byproducts mimic essential minerals like calcium, these poor kids’ bodies have absorbed the poison by the bucketload, thinking that it’s doing them good."

    Didn't take long, did it?

The heightened occurrence of Downs syndrome in the children of people who work at nuclear plants, as well as those who survived exposure from Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, has been known for decades. I have seen this first hand, as a neighbor of mine years ago worked construction at South Texas Nuclear Project, and his first born daughter was born with Downs syndrome. His total exposure was less than what most people in Fukushima received in the first month after the incident. It is difficult to express the anguish suffered daily by the parents. Politicians who condemned this recommendation are not considering this pain involved in raising a genetically damaged child, only statistics of declining population in the perfecture and the tax base they represent.

What a lot of people don't realize is that veterinary physicians are also tasked with being on the front line of our public health, looking for abnormalities in animals that might have a health impact on civilian populations. This is a big part of their training, and they are all well trained in potential epidemics and pandemics, of which the Fukushima crisis really is – a global pandemic of radiation-induced diseases. With no prevention and no cures.

Even a highly lethal and fast spreading smallpox pandemic, while killing billions, and killing them faster, wouldn't kill off the entire biosphere like Fukushima is. If you needed some perspective.

Who questions our Leader's motivation and or sanity?

At some point, one must ask themselves when is gross denial,
… Best left for mental professionals?

Case in Point, Japan is now suffering with a Trillion Dollar Eco-Disaster,
… Yet some Leaders consider that it, in effect, is "no big deal":

Polluted Ocean, N☢ Problem, it will get better after a while….
Polluted Fields, N☢ Problem, they can remove the upper layer
Polluted Air, N☢ Problem, they can wear paper masks for a while
Polluted Food, N☢ Problem, they can mix the good to dilute the bad
Polluted Homes, N☢ Problem, they can power wash them clean
Polluted Schools. N☢ Problem, they can clean them
Polluted Cities, N☢ Problem, they can return soon…

With answers like these from our Nuclear Professionals,
…Perhaps you would consider a followup article, asking this question,
… "What exactly would it take for you to stop supporting,
… All land based Nuclear Reactors like Germany is now doing?"
