whats that do to a baby girl?
whats up with the low safecast readings.. no peaks allowed?? 🙁
free the radiation range .. the japanese will need this data to work out future health effects and for the health specialists to prepare for..
then you can sue tepco for the future costs..

suppose that is why the real data is being hidden in japan and indeed around the world

    • Good opening arclight.

Seems to be a new paradigm emerging in the world (as we saw from the Iraq War, War in Afghanistan and elsewhere) that children are expendable, whether from drone strikes, cluster bombs, austerity programs or nuclear power plants.

They're not children anymore – they're 'collateral damage'. And, we simply don't care. Out of sight, out of mind. Anyone who quibbles over the millions of child deaths caused by these instruments of death is simply a pussy and doesn't know how to act like a good right-wing gun-toting bible-thumping testosterone-filled male citizen. And, of course, the children of Belarus just disappear into their cobwebbed brains as figures on a chart that we can argue over or discount. They don't exist.

Well, we here at enenews are going to make them exist again, and if the nuclear shills and deniers don't like it I think we should start to put the pictures of these children on every milk-carton in the land and thrust it up before their lily-livered faces until the end of time, and beyond.

I'm glad arclight has mentioned the children because even though I have none myself I have decided to adopt all of them, and fight for them until these rotten pigs get the message.

That's how I'm feeling this morning.

Dr. Busby: Yes, they were of course. And I can tell you one thing…that the Israelis, for example, carried out a study in Jerusalem about two years ago of sperm counts in young men. And what they found was that there was such a reduction in sperm counts [a 40% decline in sperm count/quality in last ten years] that the authors of this article, which was in a peer-reviewed journal, said that if this rate in reduction of sperm count continued at the same rate, by the time 2020, there will be no more Israelis. That will be it – finished. It will be like the Newfoundland cod.
Jim Fetzer: By the year when? How distant was their projection?
Dr. Busby: By 2020. Their project was 2020. If it continues…
                Jim Fetzer: 2020 !
Dr. Busby: By 2020, that would be the end of Israel.
Jim Fetzer: 2020 — and this is already 2011!
Leuren Moret: The sperm count in the last ten years has declined 40 percent in Israeli men. It was already at least 20 percent in decline because of nuclear technology, but at this rate, by 2020, just as Dr. Busby has said, basically Israeli men will be sterilized. At 20 percent sperm count, men are considered to be sterile. [See HAARETZ: “Study: Quality of Israeli sperm down 40% in past decade” by Ofri Ilani (11.05.09)]
Jim Fetzer: Are we aware of what might be the specific causes of this reduction in sperm count among the Israeli …
Dr. Busby: It’s uranium. It’s the uranium. The uranium is floating all around the Middle…

        • What-About-The-Kids

PU239 and Arclight, you have warmed my heart this morning with your loving words, adopting all the dear UN-WHO-forgotten children of Belarus. So beautiful. 🙂

And for that, I give you roses, as my way of saying "thank you for remembering the children":

          –<–<–@ –<–<–@ –<–<–@ –<–<–@ –<–<–@ –<–<–@ –<–<–@

        Bravo PU239.

"The real unforgivable acts are committed by calm men in beautiful green silk rooms, who deal death wholesale, by the shipload, without lust, without anger, or desire, or any redeeming emotion to excuse them but cold fear of some pretended future.

But the crimes they hope to prevent in that future are imaginary. The ones they commit in the present – they are real.”
― Lois McMaster Bujold, Shards of Honour

      • It IS the children and ALL innocent living things, but the pusillanimous Nuclear Overlords running their Nuclear Cartel just don't give a damn. Just like drug dealers, except worse.

"…thrust it up before their lily-livered faces until the end of time, and beyond." – Pu239 (good one)

        lily-livered –
"cowardly," 1605, in "Macbeth;" from lily (in its color sense of "pale, bloodless") + liver, which was a supposed seat of love and passion. A healthy liver is typically dark reddish-brown.

        ty – arclight and Pu239

So what should the punishment be for breaking the Laws of Nature? Like polluting. Death is really too kind in my opinion. That's how I'm feeling this morning.

        One problem at a time:
If I were Supreme Overlord of this planet, I would order that all non-whistle blowing nuclear industry personnel and the politicians who supported them be dipped in liquid nitrogen and then lower their frozen a-holes via crane into the melted molten core in order to cool it down. The core would not cool down much, but at least we could start to solve one problem.

Instead of Nuclear Industry, I'm going to start calling it "The Nuclear Cartel". A better description and more accurate.

        • Thanks ChasAha, and how!

How embarassing, had to look that word up:

Showing a lack of courage or determination; timid.
          cowardly – faint-hearted – poor-spirited – recreant

I agree – Nuclear Cartel is better. Nuclear "Industry" implies they're being good hard-working industrious people working for the clean green good of humanity – bless their little hearts.

Kind of like a cute little virus-removal program that ultimately destroys your hard drive and makes life miserable.

"Anyone who quibbles over the millions of child deaths caused by these instruments of death is simply a pussy and doesn't know how to act like a good right-wing gun-toting bible-thumping testosterone-filled male citizen."

Sorry PU239 – I don't believe that all bible-thumping people condone child killing.

        • Neither do I.

I won't get into the religious thing here. Suffice it to say, I subscribe to *the message* in the Book, as written in countless other Books of similar ilk, but not the Book itself.

I've also read The Book from cover to cover. I believe 'people' should be treated with greater respect than The Book itself.

I never thump it either – and treat it with great respect, as I do with other writings, such as those by Patanjali, Milarepa, Lao Tse, Gandhi, Jesus, Buddha and other highly intelligent beings.

To negotiate with drug cartels and nuclear shills you need an ethical basis on which to do the negotiating. The ethical basis I use is largely the one He propounds in The Book and has to do with universal empathy and respect for all living creatures (not just people):

"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."

Other than that, I'm just a human monkey-like creature as you are doing the best I can with the limited intelligence at my disposal.

But, thanks for the reminder – I was getting a little loose with my words.

    • I like his byline:

"Ralph T. Niemeyer is a human being and tries to make a living from working as an economic’s editor, journalist, writer, documentary film maker, screen play writer and film producer.

He enjoys a split personality which allows him to jump into whatever identity he feels appropriate at the very moment. Specialised in interviewing presidents he sometimes asks the most unusual questions to world leaders, such as 'How did you sleep, Mr President ?' "

I can imagine his question to the drug cartels:

"Any chance of bringing the violence down this year? Maybe a few less beheadings, slight reduction in shootings?"

In this case though, I think the Nuke Mob have already locked the door to the debating room, so we never actually get to a debate.

    Airplane travel? Think about it.

Think about the people traveling in airplanes to and from Japan. Think about the foot traffic while in Japan and those people returning to planes bound to the US and other countries. Think about the bags and stuff that are stowed into your overhead compartment. Think about the planes landing and taking off from Japan and the outside air that eventually enters the cabins. Think about the air in the cabins in those planes after they’ve left Japan. Think about the concentrations of air and the particles that accumulate in the planes air intake systems. Think about being in a plane’s cabin for hours and hours.

Think about traveling on airplanes not destined for Japan, but an airplane that has just been turned around from Japan and now destined to Singapore, Thailand, etc. And, think about what would happen to airline travel/sales if the public really knew the true conditions in Japan.

It’s all about the money. It always was, and always will be. We’re expendable if its profits versus us.

Think about the next time you are traveling to Asia, Japan, the Far East, etc. Are you traveling on a plane that also flies in and out of Japan?

    Have a nice flight!

And remember, in addition to the ongoing radioactive releases at Fukushima Daiichi, the Japanese are trucking the radioactive debris from Fuku all over the island of Honshu and incinerating it. Hey, but not to worry …the WHO says it’s not all that dangerous.

you've already had your vengeance. It's only a matter of recognizing how it played out. Sure…there are more than a few 'innocents' being hoisted upon the pyre. Had there not been such 'sacrifice', few would have bothered to watch the distant flames. So please put the bat back-into the corner. What's coming their way is far-more brutal…
