Tepco Press Release, Dec. 5: “At 11:33 am on December 4, workers found that there was puddle water inside the barrier around the evaporative condensation apparatus (estimated volume of water was approx. 45 m3 [1 cubic meter of water = 1 metric ton]).”

NHK: “The water is believed to have contained 130,000 becquerels per cubic centimeter of radioactive strontium.”

New York Times: “Tepco said a check on Saturday had found no sign of the leak, suggesting that it began Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The company said it was exploring ways to stop any more water from escaping.”

45 metric tons = 45,000 kg = 45,000,000 cubic centimeters * 130,000 becquerels per cubic centimeter of strontium = 5,850,000,000,000 Bq strontium

    “is believed to have contained”

    Same old bafflegab.

Believed by whom? On what evidence (if any)? Why past tense? What else did it contain?…

“may have leaked” or maybe we just forgot where we put it?

What are the odds of 45 (tons and becquerels) appearing legitimately twice in the same press release?

    Nine months in. Sheesh.

That. We saw it, we saw the reactions. It’s enough for me to “believe”. No one else is likely to believe it anyway considering everything that’s come out thus far. Denial runs deeply. (I mean that generally, not specifically naming anyone here..)

or anyone here for that matter.. I was thinking, all of these articles, no matter the level of confession, no matter coming from sources they say they trust, if they’re still willing to never speak to me again and throw me under the bus, they won’t believe this article either. I do though. I hope everyone who does, not only has a plan but is/has been acting upon it.

I been out all day riding buses & probably getting a lungfull or two of Fuku’s “finest”(“literally”=particulate matter!)after tending to & comforting my wife from another serious attack which have worsened since the “newer” health issue began in mid-April where she has been diagnosed with “seizure disorder” testing determined was NOT epileptic, but recently determined to be a “hormonal disorder related to Thyroid function problems”!!?? Now she simultaneously has “full gran mall seizures” combined with her acute asthma, although the asthma has been an issue for her since her birth. The attacks have been happening at the rate of about 5 to 20 times per week, with the higher number noted during times of both great anxiety & anguish, but noted by me to be when the US,especially midwestern region displays a “spike” in radiation with elevated level’s being apparent within a 1,000 mile radius. So I’d been going through this with her and still thinking about my 19 yr. old daughter losing her baby 11 weeks ago when the 8-week fetus that would’ve been my first grandchild’s heart stopped beating & spontaneously aborted the pregnancy?!! Then I see weird stuff start happening and I’d posted last night that perhaps some useful new technology was being applied at last, but my guarded optimism was quickly dispelled by news “leaked” out(no pun intended)regarding the Strontium and erased any notions of “mysterious, miraculous” possibly positive developments which would’ve been nice, but could not make up for the damage already being felt & the mutual contempt personally held-one parties motivating factor being “business”,and the other very “personal”! I can’t elaborate more here, but The Establishment is using “other” methods to “punish” specific members of the opposition in ways far,far removed from the issue in focus very effectively.I suggest very strongly that engaging in this struggle against TPTB is hazardous to 1′s health-including their poor & sick…

How this looks like in the Russiam media:
Around 11:30 (06:30 GMT) in the room, where he worked cleaning equipment, has accumulated 45 tons of water. After three hours, experts found that the water flows out through a crack in the concrete base of the building in a drainage ditch. Ditch 500 m into the sea, but so far Ters no precise information about whether there has got radioactive water.
Leak occurred in a part of the equipment, where the water has already passed decontamination of cesium from the salt is purified, but it retained radionuclides such as strontium-90, which emit beta rays. Accumulated on the surface of the water level of gamma-rays was 1.8 millisievert per hour, a beta-ray – 110 millisieverts per hour.

And Tepco also said:”The water was contaminated with the radioactive substances caesium and iodine but their levels were “roughly the same as or slightly higher” than ocean water near the plant, the spokesman said.”

    So daijobu, no problem.
    This Water just got accumulated!

Wonder if TEPCO can provide the numnbers for the “roughly the same as or sightly higher” than ocean water near the plant. Since the ocean water near the plant is radioactive–and contaminated..would be good to have the exact figures…or guess WE CAN provide the figures on our own. Best if TEPCO comes forward with it..but they probably think “HIDING” is a good idea. Saving face?

Perhaps they took the water sample from the sea at the spot where the leaking water ran into the ocean. That could explain the similar readings.

UK govmt. shared intelligence with nuclear industry
“The British government has been quietly exchanging intelligence on key policies with multinational companies in an effort to protect and promote their plans for new nuclear power stations, according to internal documents seen by the Guardian.

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (Decc) has also passed the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA), which represents 260 companies, and the French nuclear company, EDF Energy, details of its court battle against Greenpeace, which is trying to block the nuclear plans.

With the government planning to build eight new nuclear power stations in England and Wales, there is a perception that ministers have been working closely with the industry to manage public opinion and prevent the kind of backlash against the technology that has happened in Germany and Italy.

In the latest revelations, a minute of a meeting on 15 September between officials from Decc’s Office for Nuclear Development (OND) and EDF reveals that they shared information about the handling of the company’s application to build the first of the new nuclear stations at Hinkley Point, in Somerset, and much else.”

CNN ignors danger of “leak of some contaminated water”. Again one more USA news broadcaster, CNN, does not have a clue. Or are they assisting TEPCO! 5.6 Trillion Bq of Stronium..and CNN (yes, the NEWS channel CNN) reports as only “slightly higher” than ocean at the drainage area. BUT prior to this, said it was” not known if radioactive runoff reached the sea.” The answer is YES it reached the sea..and YES if its slightly higher than the ocean near the Fukushima drain–the seawater may contain up to 5.6 Trillion Bq in the Ocean.

Wonder what Japan and TEPCO have on the Nuclear Plants worldwide to make the countries IGNORE the radiative dangers. Maybe a LOT more leaks do not get reported……

Most Sadly for *all of us here*, almost as if psychic, we all KNOW the headline before it is ever written or mentioned as mere acknowledgment… we knew of melt down, melt through and all realities BEFORE they were in headlines. None of what I reading comes by surprise, other than it has taken this long to publicly address…

To see ridiculous numbers bantered about, are an insult to me. Who really knows ANYTHING with actual dimensions of this mess. Any mention of numbers is ludicrous, like there is any distinction between, TOTAL DESTRUCTION and 98% destruction of said…

To me it is not simply the amount of life threatening radioactive matter continuously eject – but also the methods of propagation into our atmosphere that are most alarming to me.
