With Okuma 8 time detection before the plutonium/the accident

2011 November 30th

As for the prefecture it announced that the plutonium which is seen that on the 29th, it scattered in the accident of the Tokyo Electric Power Fukushima first nuclear power plant, was detected from the soil of the Okuma Cho husband 沢. Before nuclear accident occurs, 8 times that it was high. The prefecture has done “the other investigation position was same as before the accident”, that.

The atomic energy disaster local measure headquarters of the prefecture and government August 10th – October 13th, investigating the total 55 position inside the prefecture. When you compare with the radioactivity of the plutonium which fell with past nuclear test, from the nuclear plant 1.6 kilometers just the husband 沢 which leaves was high considerably on south southwest. Because of this, as for the prefecture “possibility of the plutonium due to nuclear accident is high”, that it judged.

As for the prefecture before nuclear accident occurs from, prefectural north, in and prefectural south the prefecture, Aizu, Ninani Aizu and phase pair, 7 regional &#61951 of the Iwaki; With the position, the radioactivity of the plutonium which is included in the soil was investigated. This time 7 positions which include the inside husband 沢 of city town around the nuclear plant were added to the object.

In December the prospect that also the findings from of strontium publishes.

    The Threat of Radiation

    Marko Ocampo | Nov 29, 2011 | Comments 1

After the March 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan and caused the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant incident, many professionals in the media and sciences predicted the worst outcomes for the land, sea and people of the region. Now, due to recent studies conducted by a team of international professionals on Fukushima radioactivity levels, the outcomes may not be as bad as once predicted.

Anyone know of any Shortwave Broadcast stations outside of the USA with programs accurately & truthfully relevant to Fukushima & the nuclear issues? I used to enjoy stringing up a 80 foot longwire or inverted-V dipole atenna and pull in “unadulterated” news & unbiased programming from around the world and the current solar cycle sunspot activity would likely lend me a helping hand. Most SW programs are listed in UTC times. I hope somebody comes through for me here or within my Amateur radio circle, but if I find anything worth passing along I’ll post it here on ENEnews.com myself when I find out anything.I miss the days of analog broadcasting, many will disagree but “digital” sucks!!

Eight Times the Pre-accident Level of Plutonium Detected in Ookuma-machi

The prefectural government announced on the 29th that plutonium that was likely scattered by the accident in TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Powerplant, was found in an earth sample taken in Ottozawa, Ookuma-machi.
Plutonium concentrations eight times higher than before the accident were measured. The prefecture states that: “the concentrations at other measuring points were comparable to concentrations found before the accident”.

The Nuclear Emergency Response Headquarters, run jointly by the prefecture and the government, surveyed 55 location between the 10th August and 13th October. Only Ottozawa, which lies 16 km SSW from the nuclear power plant, showed a notably higher concentration of plutonium compared to the amounts of plutonium usually found in Japan, originating from the fallout of atomic weapon tests.
That is why the prefectural government concluded that: “there is a strong likelihood that the plutonium comes from the nuclear plant accident.
The prefectural government has been measuring the concentration of plutonium in the soil on measuring points in seven districts (North, Middle, South, Aizu, Minami-aizu, Futaba, Iwaki) since before the accident.
This time municipalities surrounding the nuclear power station, including Ottozawa, were included in the survey.
The release of the survey results for strontium is scheduled for December.

Kushana’s translation is on the ball.

A couple of points to raise though,

    - Ottozawa is 1.6 km from Dai-ichi, not 16 km (and looking at Google maps appears to be more like WSW of the NP not SSW, but that is something with the original article)

    - 3rd paragraph should include that the prefectural government was measuring at 48 locations throughout the 7 districts listed since before the accident and that the testing this time around now included Ottozawa, increasing the number of testing locations by 7.

    - the article is ambiguous as to whether plutonium was detected in one or more earth samples (lack of indefinite article in Japanese).

Will add the above, repost and credit shortly.

TEPCO says concrete pads eroded, but no leaks? Lets see..they are saying the erosion is 65 cm. Now..no humans in the loop..no robot can get to the area–most of the devices do not work well or at all in this radioactive environment–and they can measure the damage at 65 CM???!!! NO leaks?? Are they using an tarot cards? Or pulling rabbits out of a hat…

Get used to that webcam. It’ll be there for decades, if not hundreds of years. You are currently watching what will be the most viewed (in longevity) webcam in history, for generations to come, as rads spew out.

LOL I often think the same CB which is why I don’t post often.

Coldfyre, there are many trees and bushes which turn a beautiful shade of red before the leaves fall off for winter. Many here are stunning scarlets and burgandies – same as every year in my memory.

Speaking as someone who knows they are radiophobic, you need to take a step back and not assume every single thing is linked to radiation. Be aware, be alert, try to avoid the avoidable but don’t leap on everything as being related. This comment is to everyone and probably will get me called a nuclear industry shill, which I am definitely not but I am called staycalm on here for a reason = to remind MYSELF to.

Nervous breakdowns, living in paranoia, stress… all also contribute to cancer, strokes and heart attacks.

The bushes are probably there to absorb radiation and obscure camera sights I’d have said.

Dear StayCalm, agree on not being extreme and creating rumors–but with all the coverups by TEPCO and government, its hard to be objective. Just watching the heat signatures at the reactors, the increasing dosimeter readings, and the passive acts to protect livng beings (because everyone is getting a dose of this poison)–its getting hard to staycalm.

The red bushes at the one webcam (only public one of many webcamers) — hope that is due to a sudden frost which showed up suddenly. Hope is not very comforting.
