SOURCE: Fukushima fuel rods may have completely melted, Guardian by Justin McCurry, December 2, 2011 (Emphasis Added):
- “The plant may have narrowly averted a disastrous ‘China syndrome’ scenario”
- Tepco “would not comment on the exact position of the molten fuel“
- Tepco also would not comment “on how much of it is exposed to water being pumped in to cool the reactor”
- Tepco: “Almost no fuel remains at its original position”
Here is the most revealing excerpt from the Guardian article:
“Uncertainty involved in the analysis is significant, due to the uncertain nature of the original conditions and data used,” Tepco said in a report. It said the concrete “could have been penetrated”, but added that the fuel remained inside the reactor’s outer casing.
It appears Tepco is admitting for the first time that melted fuel could be in the concrete outside of the containment vessel.

Between these new partial admissions and the camera changes, I think Daichi is hitting an unavoidable and unhideable stage in the process. I suspect soon we won’t be debating on-camera small lights and changes while squinting our eyes, but instead sitting back, wide-eyed, at what we’re going to see. If hydrovolcano happens, it won’t be subtle. Nor spinnable. Assuming they don’t finally shut the cameras all off, of course.
Report Comment
Very well said. Gut instinct tells me something big is going to happen very soon now and TEPCO knows it. The recent release of half truths by Tepco has been a new development.
I think unless the international community demands it, we can be pretty certain that the cameras will be off. The goal will be to keep world wide panic to a minimum. Best to keep the sheeple in the (radioactive) dark.
2012 it all changes. Damn Mayans!

Just a thought, though. What is wrong with trying to minimize world wide panic?

Mayans! They were savages. They had no insight into the future and no prophetic ability. They had some engineering ability to build pyramid temples, but were head-hunters and cannibals. They were an evil race, who butchered their neighboring peoples and ate them, after sacrificing them to their ‘god’ who could have been no one other than a demon. If you want end times prophecy, the Bible has it. Wormwood in Revelation kind of fits Fukushima, but so far Fukushima is not big enough to kill 1/3rd of the earth, and probably can’t get that big. A giant EMP-inducing solar flare, or Richter 10 to 11 earthquake, or large asteroid hit, now that could be a Wormwood event, melting out/exploding enough reactors to kill 1/3rd of the world.

Bible prophecy has an astounding record. 300 prophecies about Christ were fulfilled by Him. It has been calculated that the odds of that are like the odds of finding one silver dollar which has been mixed into a pile of silver dollars 3 feet deep covering an area the size of the state of Texas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uK7U5r4Kcag&feature=related
The above video taken at Narita Airport after the quake, is interesting. The Japanese people are so decent to each other, in general. Family and relationships are so important and respected. They are very close to Christ, in terms of how they treat each other, yet so far from Christ himself. Maybe this nuclear disaster will have a benefit of causing many Japanese to realize the need for complete truth, and for a relationship with Jesus as close as one to their family and neighbors.

Interesting point I realised a while back is that the symbol for nuclear energy is often portrayed as a disguised STAR. That logo with the three little electrons whizzing around it forms a six pointed star. It is prominently displayed on Marty McFly’s cowboy shirt in Back to the Future 3. If you look carefully at that series of movies you will find numerous examples of “9-11″ before the fact too, and even the date march 15.
I therefore accept that a nuclear catastrophe could well fit bible prophecy symbols as a STAR falling to earth and poisoning 1/3 of the planet. Not saying it is for sure, just that it certainly could be seen that way without much of a stretch.
I also accept that the illuminati have a philosophy of hiding their intentions in things like popular movies, so that they can say “we warned you” making your destruction your own fault. After all, didn’t they make a movie called “china syndrome?” Why would we be surprised when it happens?

Hello FF, NHB, and AC,
Like minds think alike.
It says, “could have been penetrated.”
One wonders if they will have some kind of warning before we see a Phreatic explosion of the corium hitting the water table. Kind of like a hot iron hitting cold water. SPLASH!
The size and amount of energy in such an explosion can not be determined or measured until after the event. All we can do is be vigilant and ready to duck and cover when the event happens. And will they see it coming? Time will tell. Hard to believe there is not more open coverage and filming of this in the land of HD cameras.
We also have to remember that we have never seen anything like this in our history so we are on unexplored ground as far as what will happen next. One day at a time eh!
Speaking to the biblical term Wormwood is like saying the Nemesis, Hercobulus, Planet-X, and Nibiru. These are large magnets that effect the smaller magnet(earth) as they periodically pass through our solar system. When these larger magnets come closer to us, our magnetic north takes a turn towards the larger magnet and as it passes and sets this planet into a new polar spin, the waters splish and splash. It happens, and has happened.
The intensity of the sun will be the ever-growing indicator of these large objects getting closer. The large electromagnet the Sun effects the smaller electromagnet the Earth which in turn effects we, the smaller electromagnetic energies we are. And the huge objects that are coming closer will effects everything! It is all relative as is said well.

This is all so simple to comprehend and what we really should ALL be focused on instead of figuring out how to continue to support the same old cesarean energy of divide and conquer. We were created one family of Man. Not a divided bunch of sheeple. Man created division, God did not. We must figure out NOW how to world-wide unite to do our best to survive this as One Species and not a bunch of rotten children fighting over all things material.
This is the knowledge of knowledge’s at the top of the pyramid. The Adept know this and do the humanitarian thing to awaken and save mankind. Everything underneath is sublime to this great Event that comes, and distractionary at best. They talk about planet wide panic. The babylonian bankster god money manipulators know this and have plans to eliminate most of the worlds populations BEFORE these events happen.
Speaking to some of those below, when I went and heard Zachariah Sitchin speak back in 1996 in Albu, NM, he spoke all about the shape of the earth explaining that if you took the water off the planet, it would look like a hastily chewed on apple core so there is no “round” about it. Shoed a picture of this in his slide presentation.
So yes, after the last quake in japan that was human caused, we have shifted a bit and the weather, and sun setting and rising in noticeably different places is not discussed much, but well known about. You will all hear the “wolf” call a lot. Then one day, some one will yell wolf! and no one will care, for apathy and complacency have riddled the mass mind like a cancerous virus that kills it’s host eventually.

There is plenty of geological records that prove there have been many axial changes. There are reasons that there are sea shells on top of mountains. There are reasons there are no forests on the planet that are older than 6,000 years. There are written records from the library of Alexandria that tell of these things, past civilizations, and the indicators of when this time happens. Just try to imagine the forces involved in putting shells on top of mountains, clear cutting whole continents, and shaping and forming mountain ranges. It’s called tectonics and earth changes by most who know and we are in for some rough lessons around all that if we make it that far. Please prepare if you live on the west coast and spare no dimes. Have escape plans and bug out bags packed.
I have also smoked the Great White Buffalo Woman Peace Pipe with Orville Lookinghorse the 18th generation Pipe carrier for the Lakota Sioux along and the Elders of the Lakota Sioux at large Pipe ceremony in Pipestone, MN. They spoke of the return of the Annunaki-o. This was a direct reference to the work of Professor Sitchin and when I asked the Grandfather if he had ever heard of the works of Sitchin, he said he had not. What an epiphany that was then. Here were two different stories of the return of what were referred to as the Annunaki, or reptilian-type creators of mankind. Really strong sources and pretty powerful star-knowledge.

Yes, everyone’s talking about sudden explosions, but it’s not like the corium is going to suddenly drop from a dry place to a wet place. It’s gradually sinking through ground that will gradually get wetter the closer you got to the water “table”, which isn’t really a flat table but the area of wettest soil. Bedrock, on the other hand, would probably be pretty even, and it would — I imagine — underlie a flat area of water.
So I’d expect lots of steam coming out of the ground before any explosions.
Report Comment
The scary thing is an explosion would wipe the camera off the map, as well as a decent chunk of earth, the size of god knows what, might set the world axis astray, we might be flipped to oblivion, game over.
Just remember when one goes bang it will probably be a chain reaction as the reactors are built far too close to each other, that was a design flaw and a reason they couldn’t be filled from underneath like chernobyl, that and being to close to the sea and possibly water table?
I fear this explosion because of the mega tons of fuel on site, huge amounts everywhere damn.
Report Comment
Or maybe the cameras have been removed and they are showing us film footage of what it looked like before the explosion….maybe the explosion has happened, is happening, will happen, we really don’t have anyway of knowing what is going on and I think it will stay that way. I believe TEPCO and GE and Westinghouse have already written the outcome that will be told to the sheeple, and that probably is pure fiction I believe this because this has been happening since 3/11/11 and it’s working very well. The sheeple are obeying and nuclear energy is still thriving and we have no notion of what is really happening in terms of human suffering. They are fiction writters, directors, speech makers…and we are doubters. But it works…..for some.

You do realize that the amount of energy potentially released in even the most extreme of worst case scenarios ever imaginable here, and the amount of matter potentially displaced is DWARFED by volcanic events like Pinatubo, Krakatoa, and Mt. Mazama. Even 1000 tons of corium coming in contact with water is nothing compared to the likely millions of tons of lava which reacted to blow Krakatoa up.
A hydrovolcanic explosion at Fukushima would be horrifying because of the radioactive nature of the ejecta, but as far as blowing half the earth apart… give me a break. It’s crazy talk.

No one said it would blow half the earth apart, you did. and do you realize the quake alone knocked us off axis over 8 inches? The filling of the China dam moved us 3…and so on. The Japanese cross section showing all the water levels is impossible if 68 tons of white hot corium is melting through the floor. How stupid. If the water wasn’t poured onto it, there’s be a huge pall of smoke pouring off the corium burning solid concrete that cannot be contained from the cameras…since March?!
Now, if 68 tons of white hot corium IS underwater, it would be producing MORE steam than the reactor created to turn the turbines and THAT would be impossible to hide from the cameras…since March?!
Either we’d see smoke or massive steam venting. We see nothing…coming out of Reactor 1′s building. Doesn’t make any sense!

If they keep pouring water into the reactor, and that water drains down the same hole that the corium created, and fills any of the void left by the corium, would that not recondense any steam coming up back into water if the water is deep enough? If the basement of the reactor building contains 10 feet of water, would that be deep enough to stop most of the steam from being seen?

“The revelation that the plant may have narrowly averted a disastrous “China syndrome” scenario comes days after reports that the company had dismissed a 2008 warning that the plant was inadequately prepared to resist a tsunami.”
Saying that the plant “narrowly averted” a China syndrome makes it sound as if the danger of that occurring is now past. But the fuel is still extremely hold and gravity continues pulling down on it, so there’s no reason to assume it will permanently rest at that 37 cm from the bottom of the concrete. It will likely continue to burn and sink for the foreseeable future, but this Guardian story makes it sound like we should all breath a sigh of relief since we dodged that bullet and now the danger is passed.
Stories like this are dangerous because they lull people–and politicians–into a false sense of security. As a result, the political leaders of the world will continue to ignore the still unfolding crisis over there–rather than mobilizing everything they can to truly ensure that a China Syndrome will not occur.

They might have dug underneath and placed lead blocks and boron like the Soviets did at Chernobyl. THay would have at least put several more extremely dense feet that it would need to penetrate before reaching ground water, thereby buying some time in which it might be able to cool a bit more.
I don’t understand why that wasn’t even attempted last April. Maybe it’s too late, but maybe it’s not. I don’t know how long it would take to burn through the last 37 cm (assuming that number is accurate). There are two options: attempt to dig underneath and place something to block/catch/slow the fuel so it doesn’t hit the ground water, or simply shrug and say it’s too late and just wait for it to reach the water (and possibly catastrophically explode). It seems to me that the latter option is the more unreasonable course to take under the circumstances.

That’s way the handling of this crisis should have been taken out of TEPCO’s hands months ago. The Japanese government had a responsibility to do everything possible to get this crisis under control.
It had both a political and moral obligation to its own people, as well as a broader obligation to humanity more generally to stop letting this plant on its shores continue spewing poison into the world’s air, water, and, in effect, food supply.

TEPCO needs to report the exact situation with no more bull about if the situation is safe or under control. Borrowing reactor cores don’t do anything other than eat concrete and steel. There is very little time left and officials at the plant are in full panic mode. We at Enenews knew that this would happen if the reactor cores did not get stopped before boring a good sized hole in the ground. The utility better report the truth to the public or face the consequences of lying in the face of catastrophe. Independent journalists and scientists have held TEPCO accountable, the people of Japan must do the same. Clouds of Xenon gas is a starting point. We know where it came from and the lawsuits should be printed, posted and ready for trial. This is a matter concerning all life on earth and they want to distort the reports released yesterday? TEPCO get your head out of the sand already we know what you did last March and we’re coming for your scalps.

for example, a guy who creates radiation dispersion maps posted here and offered to answer questions or create a requested dispersion map! but it went right over everyone’s heads
(his posts are on page 1 of the discussion forum, about 7th down = beau birgquist)

It’s time we asked Arnie Gundersen to explain if the corium is dry or sitting in a deep well of very hot water. If it’s burned a hole all the way down from the base of the pressure vessel, then the water will surely follow, no?
We see pictures of lava flowing into the sea on the Hawaiian coast, hard to imagine corium is still hot enough to eat concrete and steel if it has a column of hot water above it.
Words have utterly failed TEPCO to give us a mental picture of what iis really happening, but no doubt that is precisely their intent: give us the old “mushroom” treatment (kept in dark, fed on bullshit)

Ok so they are planning for cold shutdown? every thing is under control? no problems exist? I get told in Saitama that I am unreasonable for wanting to leave because everyone else is staying?
How can you have a cold shutdown when the fuel has melted through the reactor?
The Captain needs answers, but is getting out of Dodge mid Jan….

@quark
good luck with the move! i would not trust the information as it is now.. best to look after yourself… i am sorry that you have had to make this choice at all!! i expect that the pollution where you are is monitored by safecast? but then there is issues of bio accumulation.. and a need for independent testing for strontium and plutonium…
i am very sad for youand all those effected!
peace light and love to you and yours…
