Brad Jacobson on Fukushima’s ‘Ticking Time-Bomb’
KPFK’s Brad Friedman
May 9, 2012

I was joined by Brad Jacobson to discuss his terrifying new report at Alternet on the “ticking time-bomb” that is the precarious Spent Fuel Pool — now fully exposed, 100 feet off the ground in a listing building — at Fukushima Daiichi’s reactor #4. His report should scare the hell out of you. It certainly does me. And the scariest part: It’s being covered by virtually nobody in the mainstream corporate media.

    Big Brad Friedman fan here…
    … Corporate media hates him.

Oops. Hate is such a strong word…
… Ignore, is more like it.

I first found Friedman through his extensive coverage in the voting system in the USA. He's a good guy. Ego, the Corporate media shun.

When does the mainstream corporate media *ever* cover anything disruptive to the Elite Illusion? Never.

That's not the scariest thing about Fukushima.
    This is: http://everist.org/archives/Fukushima/20120430_Message_of_Fuku3.htm

The message of Fukushima Unit 3.

Unit #4 SFP is just one damned stupid design, resulting in hundreds of tons of high level waste sitting high up and waiting to irradiate the world at the next quake strong enough to knock that broken building down.

Unit #3 SFP is worse. What happened there tells us that EVERY SINGLE SFP IN THE WORLD is a nuclear disaster waiting to happen. In a very unexpected way.

Only a matter of time now for the west coast states to rise up and alert the nation of this ongoing catastrophe…

And we can't just have a dialogue about the cancer effects of radiation…whooping cough up 10x normal in Wash. And pneumonia up all across the nation, not to mention the 20,000 plus increase in stillbirth…

We must educate our children that any posture taken by the FDA, CDC or EPA is tainted and corrupted by the megacorporate will of our political leaders!

Rise up?? You have got to be kidding! The only rising up that North Americans are doing is to rise up and waddle over to the fridge to grab another beer or big gulp and watch American Idol! Nothing will ever wake up the U.S.A…. 9-11, Wall street, illegal wars, not even Fukushima. What is it going to take? I have extremely low expectations.

Or watch the show "Two Men Raising a Boy" (getting them used to the idea), or "How I Met Your Mother" (another afterschool rerun show for children, about a bunch of bar-hanging lecherous drunks), or "Modern Family" (need I detail), ot the reiteration of the false foundational basis of it all, "The Big Bang Theory". Yeah, you know what I think, Americans will deserve what they get from spent fuel pool #4. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" is what the Bible says.

And the corollary of that is obviously, not blessed is the nation whose God is not the Lord.

Even the FBI can't do its job like its supposed to, corrupt Congressmen go unopposed, and national security is up for sale to the highest bidder (and elections too), and the moral rot and decay have eaten up the foundations so that the whole house is termite ridden, slumping, and on the verge of collapse. 70% of people in America are now socialists and liberals looking for the next hand-out from the government ripping off their all their neighbors, upper, middle, and lower class all.

AC posts this homophobic relgious diatribe:

SP: Gee…you must watch BBT more than me. *;-) You like Sheldon's mother quite a bit I guess?

You know…if there's something I detest as much as some Dr. Frankensteain nuclear engineers brewing up shit to kill me…it's somebody trying to peddle their brand of home-brewed morality on others.

I take particular offense to your remark about me getting what I deserve from Spent Fuel Pond 4….I don't deserve and nobody in the world deserves anything they are brewing in the nuclear power plants to kill me or you or even any devil-worshipping Satanist.

You better get right yourself with your fellow earthlings before you start pointing fingers at innocent people.

ok, I'm pretty much through with the crap that is going on. Lets move on and outward. As in to space, the final frontier. Maybe, when it all comes down to, is this. Private people of Earth, who have had enough shit shoved down their throats, get together and decide on a plan and implement it. Its pretty much a fact that the world as we know it, is DONE, no if's, but's, or what ever. Would you not agree upon that. My simple understanding of the facts that have been always, and I mean alway's presented here has been. 1, no one can really clean the mess up. 2, There are hundreds of stations around the world that are getting older by the minute. 3, Someone will cover it up-regardless. 4, Some people care and Do the necessary things that Need to be done and Others, as we know them personally will wait with hands out for the help me, I've fallen and I cannot get my lazy fat-ass up out of the friggin shithole called the life they live. (ya, might know I am a little pissed off right by now). 5, This is the time that people stand together or not. I want to see the world move in the right direction, but that has been taken from us.

and as I continue to vent. Yes, my understanding of nuke's has increased beyond anything that I could ever have been blessed to learn in school. I truly thank each and everyone of you for the learning lesson. However, as in all lessons learned-it comes with a price. How much money is a life worth? Who get's to choose who lives or dies? I am willing and able to turn a wrench, pick up garbage, do what is necessary Because it is the Right thing to do. I obviously have control issues, since our lives are out of control. I need to go to off-topic issues, sorry Admin.

      These are really good questions.

      1. Taking the 'risk' of learning 'radioactive contamination' lessons was a bad idea from the start.

      2. What is ALL life worth? What is one/our life worth? Priceless, I'd say!

      3. Choosing? I would choose to eat cesium free (risk free) foods. I would also choose to breath air that does not contain the possibility of 'hot' particles. Many choices seem to have been taken away lately and will most likely continue to dwindle a little bit more each and every day.
