Public reactor hearing rocked by alleged government shill
A public hearing in Sendai held to gather citizens’ opinions on future energy and environmental policy was disrupted Sunday after a Tohoku Electric official inadvertently selected to be one of the nine speakers at the event was blasted as a government shill.
The government-sponsored event was the second in a series of nationwide hearings to gauge public opinion on three options for retaining nuclear power in Japan’s energy mix in 2030 — 0 percent, 15 percent or 20 to 25 percent.

[...]
the hearing was temporarily suspended. Nuclear disaster minister Goshi Hosono had to intervene to calm the audience.
[...]
Hosono said the selection process was “totally random.” The meeting was managed by advertising agency Hakuhodo Inc. and the government was kept out of the selection process to maintain fairness, he said.
[...]
The “Shill”
[T]he official, who heads the planning department and plays a central role in its business strategy, supported the 20 to 25 percent option.
The uproar began after he identified himself as a Tohoku Electric employee and said: “I will speak by summing up the thoughts of the company.”
An uproar immediately ensued, and one person in the audience shouted: “Hasn’t the speaker choice been manipulated?”

People need to be very stringent to ensure that these shills are not allowed in. The very fact that they are attempting to manipulate opinion by doing so shows that they are continuing to be dishonest and attempting to mislead the people.
If they are doing this they are not one with the people but AGAINST the people. This means they are traitors to the country. There is no other way to see it. These people including Hosono, Edano, etc should all be ARRESTED. Citizen's arrest if the Police will not grow some balls and do it. How are they not being charged with all the crimes they have committed and continue to?

all good points kintaman. I doubt you will ever get rid of opposition, nor will you always recognise them.
be prepared to encounter pro-nukers, it's simply par for the course. at this point i'm supposed to say treat them nicely, smile, be well behaved. at no stage reveal your intense anger and rage at them. so i did just write that.
of course, the pro-nukers have the billions of dollars and the bombs. we haven't.

Of course it's never collusion between government, inspectors/regulators, and operator when the government picks oporators at the local hearing to 'represent'…

Well, at least now we know why we don't see very much activity at the plant … the whole complex is being bathed in 100 plus microsieverts per hour … almost a millisievert per eight hour shift, you reach your fifty millisievert cutoff in eight weeks and you're all done and done … for the year …
would be nice to see the kids in the MIT Nuclear Reactor management program go give them a hand cleaning up Tepco's GE manufactured mess …
come to think of it, maybe Jeffie Immelt can get to Japan with a broom or a shop vac … be more useful than stone cold silence, in the face of General Electric designed, paid for, bullied for and prostituted for reactor melt throughs …
or bring along a few of the Toothless Toadies of the NRC …
Japan has been abandoned by her nuclear pushers …. United States Empire of Cancer shills, hacks and whores …
Time for another short sale you pro-nuclear capitalist thugs …
peace to the 'newsers

Great Idea they can count it as on the job experience.
Jeffie Immelt should change the spelling of his last name to Imelt.

You're right Ned, but the billowing emissions and disappearing buildings from radioactive "fog" probably means the levels are even much higher on many days. But the nuclear cabal has tricks to help the workers keep making a decent wage to spend in the company honky tonks. Lead-lined purses for dosimeters makes the work force stay under the limits for many months, maybe years.
From the activity I have seen on the web cam for 16 months I haven't seen more than twenty workers together at one building… That was in the frenetic work at reactor 4. The plant is much more dangerous than Tepco will admit.
If they were really running a nuclear cleanup army like the Russians they would be losing hundreds of workers a month to radiation deaths. So they save money and the few scores of workers will never stop the emissions. In the long run 130 million Japanese will pay the price for inaction of the cheap bureaucratic bastards in Tokyo.

WPP acquires stake in Shanghai Advertising Ltd
4 November, 2002
WPP announced today that it has agreed to take a 25% interest in Shanghai Advertising Limited, a major full-service advertising agency based in Shanghai, China. WPP’s investment clearly indicates its commitment to the China market.
Shanghai Advertising Limited, one of the top 10 advertising agencies in China, which was established early in China’s advertising history, is the fully-owned subsidiary of Shanghai East Best International Group Co. Ltd.
Shanghai Advertising Limited has had a strong relationship with Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, a WPP company, for 11 years. Subsequently, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Shanghai was set up in 1995. After 11 years, the Ogilvy Group is the largest communications group in China.
WPP’s CEO Martin Sorrell, summarized the investment as follows: "The Chinese advertising market is the fastest growing market in the world. Within the next 10 years, it is expected to become one of the top three markets. WPP has relied not only on the support of WPP companies, but also on direct investment. Britain also involved in murders of Iran’s nuclear scientists
"Murdoch’s media is currently banking on the false intelligence provided by MI6 that “Iran is two years from having a nuclear bomb” in order to convince the world public opinion about launching a new war with Iran."
"..MI6 chief, John sawyers, spoke to British civil servants this week
about his operational success in preventing Iran building nuclear
weapons; he was in fact alluding to assassination of Iranian
scientists.
“Let us be clear. MI6’s only operations in Iran have been to give
assistance to the teams of assassins, assumed to be Israeli or CIA,
that have killed a number of [Iran's nuclear] scientists, often with
family members,” he added.
Duff stated that this is not the first time that MI6 has been
implicated in murder cases involving scientists…"

Some Citizens Got Wiser on July 13 Protest at PM Official Residence in Tokyo, on Bikes and Cars to Take Advantage of Roads Cleared by the Police
"..I tweeted some of the suggestions from the readers of this blog about the protest, including using cars going round the Prime Minister's Official Residence. From the reaction from my Japanese followers, it simply didn't occurred to them. But it did occur to some people who took part on their bikes and cars, as you see in the video above…"

Notice the choices given, only an absolute NO (0%), then 15% as the next lowest. No 0-10%, or 5, or 10% choice. 15 and then 20-25, all close together. Nothing higher, but nothing lower than 15%. And what that means is that if 15% of japan's power is supplied by nuclear, about half of Japan's plants will be operational with some offline at any time.
So the numbers are misleading, and aside from 0 the lowest choice means restarting half of Japan's reactors.
This kind of deviousness is being thought up 24/7 by people working for TEPCO and for the government, and so those on the side of truth have to relentlessly expose these tactics regardless of whether the lies seems to be big or not, they're all important parts of the cover-up and manipulation of, especially, the people of Japan.
