NRC Chairman says nuke plants safe, for now, Action 3 News, June 28, 2011:

We store radioactive material in that building. There is some minor water leakage into the building, and that water we treat as radioactive waste.

Event Notification Report for June 27, 2011
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission
Operations Center
UNUSUAL EVENT DECLARED DUE TO INDICATIONS OF FUEL DAMAGE
The reactor operated at 10 W to 25 kW steady-state power for a total of 25 minutes. At 1257 CDT the Reactor Manager noticed that the radiation monitor (AMS-4) was reading approximately 80 times the Derived Air Concentration (DAC) for Iodine. A second continuous air monitor and a portable thin-window ionization chamber both read background levels of radiation. A high-volume air sampler was used to sample the air near the sampling location of the AMS, which draws air from the reactor deck. The filter from the air sampler read 3700 DPM after drawing 50 cubic feet of air, indicating elevated levels of activity. An HPGe (High Purity Germanium Detector) spectrograph indicated some Cs-137 in the air filter sample, but no I-131. Primary water activity and conductivity were both at normal levels. The indicated DAC of Iodine increased to a value of 149 times DAC before decreasing to 145 times DAC. …
HPGe spectroscopy indicated only background levels of Cs-137 for a air sample, a primary water sample, and a swipe taken from the reactor deck. None of these samples showed I-131. A second portable air sample taken at the reactor deck, but on the opposite side of the deck from the radioactive sampling handling table, did not have elevated counts. …

haha – ENE got the good part – it’s the latest post here. He mainly said that Cooper is the plant he’s most worried about.

Remember the words of the TEPCO executives in the days following the catastrophe. Now look at where we stand.
It’s sore of like this: The building is on fire while the officials hold a press conference to say everything is ok and sooth the public. When a reporter asks about the smoke pour out of the building they reply it’s a pizza oven in the workers cafeteria and everything is ok.
Be safe. Be prepared.

That video is far out. Thanks for sharing it. Here’s one way of looking at this:
Some say that “they” have actually been helping “save the day” 100% at the Fukushima plant, with “invisible” energy assistance from above, to at least prevent the corium-lava-hell-blobs from doing something worse than they have done so far (which is already catastrophic!).
Some say that they WOULD land and make themselves widely known to all on Earth, and really help us with the many MAJOR problems we have, yet they are being stopped from such peaceful arrival by the exact same dark forces behind the Fukushima disaster (and even all the armed conflict and nuclear mayhem on Earth).
Some say that until human beings are mature enough to stop killing each other based on petty distinctions (in ethnicity, religion, nationality, colour, background, or whatever) then the potential visitors from “else where” will never feel safe to land, as there will be the real likelihood that human beings en masse will kill them too, given that they will likely have even BIGGER distinctions (quite possibly in appearance too!) from human beings than we even have from each other!

Well, we could eat them too. Not kosher to eat your fellow humans but maybe a martian is tasty.

Exactly! Not a cannibal then, eh?!

That means they put it in a 55 gallon barrel and ship it to Los Alamos, standard procedure for years.

There is nothing to worry about, they would tell us if anything was wrong. bwaaa haaaa

“The plant is safe, remains safe and will continue to be safe”?
One time too much “safe”, isn´t it?
Btw. Why you Americans call a Nuclear Power Staion “Plant”?
Nuklear Pflanze? Sounds crazy in german.

DarylAnn landed a job after passing a credit check, drug screen & background check. Will be grateful to have something to focus on instead of pulling my hair out of my head over this! Will be working in the healthcare/insurance industry.
Unfortunately, business will probably be booming in the near future……..

Jdstone1 will be quitting his job after he receives his profit sharing check. Has already purchased a one way ticket for his family to his wifes home country in the South Pacific. He is taking out a loan which he will not pay back and is selling everything and is refusing to pay any more bills before he leaves.
Especially the hydro bill.
He is now in survival mode and will do whatever it takes to keep his children safe.

“Every day the risk goes down drastically.”
So every day prior to today the risk was up drastically to what it is now?
The risk being a compromise to vital “gotta be perfect to work” systems that keep the plant from meltdown.

Does anyone know – or know how i could find out – how much fuel is being stored at Ft Calhoun? I’m hearing it’s “20 times” more than Fukushima, but need some credible source.
Thanks in advance!

True. The nuclear engineer’s name was Justin Case. The AquaDam was not actually necessary. It was installed just in case some dumb-ass nuclear engineer crashed his golf cart.
