Title: 3:40 p.m. USGS Responds to Reported Tremors in Pierre Part
Source: Assumption Parish Police Jury
Date: Sept 28, 2012
The Assumption OEP received reports this morning of tremors felt in Pierre Part. Dr. Stephen Horton was contacted immediately and responsed that there was no seismic activity recorded during the reported time periods that would have been felt here locally in Bayou Corne, much less in Pierre Part. If residents in Pierre Part, or any local area, experience anything out of the ordinary, they are advised to report them to OEP, 985-369-7386 or submit a report directly to USGS by visiting: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/dyfi/form.php?enabled=false so that USGS can be contacted to cross reference.
Sinkhole is ~3 miles from Pierre Part
Also this week, a bubble site was reported in Pierre Part for the first time since the sinkhole appeared: Officials report new bubbling about 3 miles from giant sinkhole -- 3 times further away than any bubble site yet (MAP)

Just checked the home prices in Bayou Corne on Zillo and it is not a poor community. Texas Salt Brine is going to be paying out a lot of money for those homes unless of course they can blame it on an earthquake that even the USGS hasn't detected.

This is how Texas Brine will survive this disaster: First, they are protected by a Federal law that exempts them from liability for any problems that arise from their extraction, fracking, and injection activities. Second, their liability insurance policy may be something like a million dollars. The insurance company may turn over the million dollars to a court, if Texas Brine is liable for some of the damages. This might take years, and might involve court cases to establish the extent of Texas Brine's liability. A Special Master would then be appointed by the court to take damage claims and disburse the million dollars. The court will rule that Texas Brine's liability, and that of the insurance company, is capped at a million dollars. (Meaning that Texas Brine has no further liability in the matter.) After a couple of years, during which time the Special Master has paid himself from the funds for his work, the balance of the million dollars will be disbursed among all claimants. And that will be that. (This, boys and girls, is the kind of outcome you get when you elect people like W. Bush and Dick Cheney, and when your Supreme Court allows corporations to participate as citizens in the political process. Corporations buy off the legislators, write their own legislation, de-regulate their particular industry, and engage in tort reform to hold them blameless when something goes wrong.)

Looks like a tremor and aftershocks to me.

Good morning, Vivvi. Do you know what the seismograph recording will look like when there is a fracking explosion?

We wonder how this fracking side effect will compare to;
