Cars collide with roaming cattle in zone around Fukushima plant
Mainichi
June 10, 2012
Several collisions have been occurring between cars and roaming cattle in the no-entry zone around the Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Plant, it has been learned.
[...]
According to the Fukushima Prefectural Government, after the nuclear disaster began, around 2,000 cattle in the no-entry zone were euthanized or otherwise disposed of. Prefectural workers and others have been catching cattle that escaped from barns or otherwise ended up roaming, but as there are also cattle that have been born amongst roaming cattle, the prefecture estimates there are over 200 cattle roaming in the zone. There was one case of a police car with its red light on being surrounded by cattle and attacked by bulls with horns.

HMS Ocean squeezes through Thames Barrier
"4 May 2012 Last updated at 12:19 Help
HMS Ocean, on deployment in the Thames as part of the Olympic security preparations, had a close encounter with the Thames Barrier as it made its way up the river.
The ship, which was being led by tug boats, squeezed through the central gate supports.
An MoD spokesman described the manoeuvre as 'near perfect' and said the ship's path through the Thames Barrier helped counter a brisk crosswind."

And rightly so, they should be mad. They should be attacking the one single creature that has broken the symbiotic relationship with the very planet that sustains all life.
We are not …'s, we are merely another creature that should be smart enough to support the ecosystem that keeps everything alive, instead we exploit every resource and creature for our own benefit and disreguard the other creatures right to exist.

I remember seen the videos of those that were just left there right after Fukishima exploded. They were all lying in heaps starving to death. I hope those cows get revenge.

Have the cows owners been notified?
Any attempt to notify the cows owners?
Have the drivers of these vehicles been checked for illicit substance use?
Are the vehicles driven into the cows "company vehicles"?
Have the nuclear plant workers been instructed to "otherwise dispose" of remaining livestock if opportunity allows?

"…surrounded by cattle and attacked by bulls with horns."
The police later fought back the 'mad' cows by repeating into their bull horns, "There is no immediate danger". The cows left feeling much better about their situation. Sound familiar?

The "official comments" via bull horns to the cattle, "smile and you will not be affected by the radiation." The cattle felt it was just so much bull….

Google Arm The Animals. "Speak for the Speechless! Defend the Defenseless! Arm The Animals!"
I wonder if any scientists were able to study the animals, especially those born after the disaster. It would help inform the world if the affects on those animals were reported.

Domestic animals generally don't take on humans.
Very little available research data concerning the effects of radiation on the brain..
It has been shown clinically ..when applied medically for brain cancer…personality changes occur.
I venture to say these animals have radiation sickness.
Report Comment
right on heart and the medical effects can cause permanent personality change.. not always for the better…

I think this must be what happens to those who work in the nuclear industry. They seem to have radiation induced brain damage.

OK, I know I sound like a curmudgeon; please hold back on the mean comments.
But to me this whole thing is just plain NO LAUGHING MATTER. I can't make a joke about it or an occasion for creativity etc. Even though these are cute talented young women & a well-done video. But to me, it's a bit like dancing and joking at a funeral (one's own, or the funeral of someone you love).
However, I couldn't help smiling at the idea of the cattle and pigs being mad about being nuked. Like – caged & raised for food – no problemo – but being free animals now and roaming around like wild ones, at least until they die of rad poisoning – that makes them mad…
Just fyi I am mostly vegan, mostly vegetarian. I don't like the way human beings treat animals. It reveals a barbaric lack of empathy and is another indicator of our general low (brutish) level of consciousness.
These wild ones got a kind of bonus out of the Fukushima disaster – a chance to revert to the wild ways of their ancestors. Some of them with no (or distantly remembered) experience with humans perhaps regard them as intruders in 'their' territory and act accordingly.

A Flyjin – That was different. Not sure I followed everything he said, but to summarize and paraphrase…
Flyjins are those leaving Japan and are considered cowardly or 'bad' for doing so.
This guy 'seems' to actually 'believe' that the burning of the contaminated waste helps to distribute the radiation around Japan. That 'even' distribution is a fair and good idea.
(the power of disinformation is astounding)

Yes, he's hard to hear, but I got that he knew and was horrified about the craziness of burning debris, so maybe I misheard.
I was mainly interested in the Japan-exodus angle since news of that is scarce and numbers hard to get.

From all these indignities, such as the very beasts of the field would not endure, you can deliver yourselves if you try, not by taking action, but merely by willing to be free.
Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed.
I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break into pieces?”
-Étienne de la Boétie, Judge during the French Renaissance
Report Comment
@EdWardMD… when the slaves have no weapons, and their masters do, they cannot be freed by simply saying no. Here's a quotation I like better (from Frederic Bastiat, THE LAW) —
"Man can live and satisfy his wants only by ceaseless labor – by the ceaseless application of his faculties to natural resources.
This process is the origin of property.
But it is also true that a man may live and satisfy his wants by seizing and consuming the products of the labor of others. This process is the origin of plunder.
Now since man is naturally inclined to avoid pain – and since labor is pain in itself – it follows that men will resort to plunder whenever plunder is easier than work.
He goes on to say that laws are made to prevent plunder, and punish it… but that the law can be perverted, and instead of checking injustice, can be made into an instrument of injustice.
and that it is impossible to introduce into society a greater change and a greater evil than this: THE CONVERSION OF THE LAW INTO AN INSTRUMENT OF PLUNDER."
And this is what has happened in our country and almost everywhere else in the world today.

Well it's good for us to laugh. I don't know how many people have told me what a mistake it is for me to be thinking and reading about this debacle so much. So depressing, etc., and what good does it do…There's truth in that for sure; but on the other hand, most of our fellow human beings seem no wiser (or brainer) then the cattle we've been discussing. By and large I'd say my response is more rational and has more 'survival value.'
And I am sure that to use this hugest man-made catastrophe (and possible ELE, or first in a chain of similar nuke failures together constituting an ELE – as other over-due ones fail) in the history of the planet as the starting point for dancing and singing about it – I can just see the fat cat elites smoking their cigars and snorting their lines of coke and fondling their boy/girl toys and getting a big yuck out of it, too…
…the masses, as usual, are playing the fool. They do it spontaneously – need no encouragement… we're killing them off like so much excess livestock… and they're all dressed up pretty and dancing and singing and asking us real nice not to be that way …

Reminds me of the kids at that May Day parade following Chernobyl.
No doubt some of the elite take regular trips to Tokyo, so they'll be reaping the fruits of their own ignorance.

But the picture I've been getting lately is that it is going to be WORSE than I thought. The US military is moving down into the So. Hemisphere – away from the pollution in the North.
And I posted that thing today about all the millions in bribes aka campaign contributions that Congressmen get from the nuke industry to keep on churning out more nuclear weapons, etc. – enough now to destroy the world many times over, but the gravy train of bribes is still running on schedule, and making these Congressmen rich men.
