Highest level of radioactive cesium to date found in freshwater fish in Fukushima village

Radioactive cesium far exceeding the allowable limit and way higher than previously detected contamination levels in fish has been found in river trout here, the prefectural government said on March 28.

[…] landlocked masu salmon, caught in the Niida River in Iitate, Fukushima Prefecture, measured 18,700 becquerels of radioactive cesium per kilogram, a reading over 37 times more than the government-imposed provisional limit […]

[…] exceeds the 14,400 becquerels per kilogram detected in sand eels in waters off Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, in April 2011, becoming the highest radiation dose found in sea and freshwater fish since the outbreak of the nuclear disaster […]

enenews is mentioned in a featured article on the infowars website – the article reported originally appeared on 'Zero Hedge' website.

    California Slammed With Fukushima Radiation

Early in the article as published on infowars, enenews' summary of the data is mentioned, quoted, and also linked.

This is the good news for 'enenews-ers', that more people are going to be coming to this website and 'waking up' – the bad news, of course, is that our worst fears are being realized, and we the gloomy doom-sayers are being proven correct. (We'd much rather have been wrong…)

Many of us enenews habitues have wondered if it would not soon be IMPOSSIBLE to continue the 'everything is fine & dandy' cover-up/pretense. Well, it is looking as if that is proving to be the case, and actually sooner than I, for one, expected.

Throughout this nightmare, I have swung back and forth between deepest gloom and then drifting into a more comfortable half-consciously held vague state of feeling/thinking that 'maybe it is not that bad, after all…'

So these headlines, from increasingly mainstream and 'respectable' sources, have plunged me back into another bout of high anxiety. The patient is in need of sedation…

Perhaps we will get a sort of consolation prize – of some of the perps actually being brought to justice(!)

As the courageous Dr. Chris Busby has pointed out, more than once, crimes have been committed. HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS!

If recklessly endangering even ONE life, by, say, driving while intoxicated and hurting or killing someone, is punishable by years of imprisonment and having to pay for the damages, including physical/mental/emotional damages… and that IS what the law is and has long been… the mind boggles at what SHOULD be the legal and financial consequences/penalties for 'recklessly endangering' an entire hemisphere (for starters) by POLICY AND PRACTICE, and ruthless suppressing, firing, ruining, and even killing (Silkwood, etc.) courageous whistle-blowers.

The Japanese have triggered another of their infamous DEATH MARCHES. It's all over except for the looonnngggg scream that will pass through Nature in the decades to come.

I was born at the height of the above ground nuclear testing. Nothing, not even Fukushima melting down three times over, will equate to the radiation released around the globe from the many governments who conducted above ground and underground and under ocean nuclear testing. So, it's NOT all over. What it IS, is an increase in illnesses, deaths, deformaties, and lots and lots of needless suffering by countless microorganisms, plants, animals, and humans. Japan, in this instance, will pay the highest price. The Pacific Ocean and the West Coast of the US will pay a hefty price, too. For me, the issues are – how do we best survive this and help ourselves and others to do so with integrity? How do we stop this form of boiling water for electricity? How do we promote cleaner, safer, saner forms of energy? How do we consume less? How do we compassionately witness and attend to the suffering of those who will be harmed by nuclear energy? Most will not be harmed. It will be easy for them to forgot those who are.

There's a good article over at "California Slammed By Fukushima Radiation." Enenews mentioned much. There is much information I haven't seen before.

Sorry about the cross-posting, but we need all the signatures we can get on this:

Please sign this letter to Obama Administration to STOP the loan to build 2 new nuke plants in Georgia. They're on the fence….help push them over to the right side. They won't stop building them for the right reasons, but who cares at this point, as long as they don't build any more.

I wonder when the Japanese government will finally admit the truth? When will the people wake up?

So, we finally come to the realisation as expressed in the Native American prophecy, that food is the most important element to sustain life on Earth. For generations particularly since WWII we have been systematically polluting and hence destroying the whole food chain and recently with GMO, the whole food supply. We have allowed money to rule every aspect of our life and paradoxically it will be money not environmental concerns nor empathy for Japan's plight but money which will kill the Nuclear Industry. Two major energy investors just withdrew from the UK's inane newbuild Nuclear plant project and already academic financial experts are writing of Nuclear's death nell in the face of growing insurance/safety cover. I would have loved it to be care for Japan and our flora and fauna, which would have achieved this but that would take real humanity and there is precious little of that.

Oops! Don't know who death Nell is but she's certainly ringing the changes for the Nuke Industry – death knell.

  • its crazy i cant think worse place to build a nucke reactor apart from the very top of a smoking volcano, i cant work out why japan did not build it there…….. What do you get when you gather up all the village idiots (answer is) the japanese goverment! "i always thought it was a joke"
