SOURCE: News “Spreading fear”, Fukushima Diary, October 13, 2011:
[...] NHK is busy at manipulating the facts that citizens are starting to see the things by their own eyes.
10/13/2011, NHK reported that they measured high level of radiation, but it was not because it was a hot spot, there were highly radioactive “bottled” hidden under the floor at near house of someone. (Source)
The bottles contained 600uSv/h of Radium 226, which was used for fluorescent paint about 60 years ago.
However, it doesn’t explain why the radiation level decreased after “decontamination” at the place.
This kind of childish manipulation is supported by the monthly fee from the citizens ourselved. [...]
SOURCE: (UPDATED) New Twist on 4.7 Microsieverts/Hr Radiation in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo: Radium??, EX-SKF, October 13, 2011:
The radiation near the surface of the side walk (5 centimeters off) was rather high at 1.34 microsievert/hour, according to Mainichi Shinbun (10/13/2011). Radium in the bottle under the house cannot explain that, can it?? [...]

Speaking of blind, has everyone seen the latest brain fart from the nuclear industry?
It’s called a “modular reactor.”

Hi bmurr
I think every Country have spread the radiation waste around to get rid of it, and this stuff lives on.
All the waste that probably was spread around and plus Fukushima, is way to much.
“Duck and cover” is not going to work.

Now that so many are buying Geiger Counters, they are testing everything. It’s amazing how much radiation we are in contact with.
Gee wonder how radiation got into things..(sarc)
Could be reason why there are more cancers, autism, ADD/ADHD, and other health issues.
With the combination of Fukushima, other nuclear plants that are leaking, and the waste they produce, I think it’s going to be an over load on everyone.

i’ll agree w/ the cancer thing, especially all the bizarre bone cancers cropping up. but ADD/ADHD is not caused by radiation, it’s caused by pharmaceutical companies pushing prescription speed on children, and making up conditions to convince parents that it’s not their crappy parenting that is causing their children to act up.

I just want to say I’m impressed with the occupy movement. How grave would it be if the people were aware of the gravity of this nuclear nightmare. The sheeple are moving, getting out and involved. I’m glad. I cannot sign petitions our protest. All the pawns are in place for the making of a cival war. If the cat is let loose, I will drop my guns.

Well I hope someone informs the people that the Japanese government has cleared rice from Fukushima prefecture to be sold nationwide. As reported here

According to the BBC: “However, they said the reading of 3.35 microsieverts per hour was no threat to public health.”
Where have you heard that before!
Yesterday they compared radiation doses to eating bananas!

My wife works as an MRI/CT Tech. A while back they put a banana in the PET scanner and actually picked up very low level of gamma rays.

Brotherpete, ask her to try pistachios. The pro-nukers like to equal 1 banana to 3 handsfull of pistachios to 2 x-rays to 1 intercontinental flight to 1 childhood spent in Fukushima.
Please note: I’m NOT saying (or thinking) you’re pro nuke. Just to make this clear.
