Prof. Takeda's Testimony: "Japanese Nuke Plants Are Meant to collapse"

    By tokyobrowntabby
Prof. Kunihiko Takeda is a professor in mechanical engineering at Chubu University. On May 18 2011, he appeared as a witness to give testimony to the Committee on Science and Education in Japan's Lower House in the Diet.

He had worked for a private chemical company for more than 25 years, spending some years as director of uranium research center, before entering into academic world.

Since March 11 accident, he has aggressively criticized the government and TEPCO both in media and on his own blog. His blog (Japanese only) is widely read partly because he always explains things and gives radiation-related advices in easy-to-understand language.

One of his most compelling blogposts is translated by EX-SKF blog:

By the tone of her voice I'd say she wanted to kick him in the crotch.

These scenarios will play out over and over again.

The Mayor's story about his responsibility to protect the residents and how it was others incompetence and/or negligence that had led to bad decisions will be repeated many times around the world.

Meanwhile… the spewing and gushing continues.

The 'ignored' or 'misleading' information and DELAYS regarding radiation and health data continues also. That's what's really out of control.

Coming soon to a country near you… no NEWS AT 11:00.

I wonder how much if any of the debris that 'fell from the sky' was tested for radiation. One can only imagine how poisonous and deadly that shit had the potential to be.

Nothing in the air in the area of the plant was measured because the only air samplers they had around the plant needed electricity to operate. Or at least that is what I conclude when they said their environmental air samplers were not functioning.

Many of the environmental air samplers i have seen in the US had solar backup power at least. I can see no signs that their emergency duties in an accident were carried out at all. They should have had teams out in the areas outside the plant taking dose readings and air sampling. Complete failure.
