Maybe something to look at there seems to be methane bubbling up in yards near the sink hole I have a theory If people have been hearing booms wonder if Methane is bubbling up and it explodes and no one can see them due to no standing water
new info from sinkhole as to mystery booms

This area will become part of the sinkhole and then some. Its going to become a toxic lake that swallowed an entire community. It has shown zero growth slowing as of yet. These last heavy rains have just helped it grow in size by triple. I estimate the area affected by the sinkhole now at 30 plus acres and growing. Much of this rain water will not receed and now that the bayous are directly connected to the sinkhole there is an endless water source in addition to the aquifer supply, to sustain the high water levels. Time is way short for remaining residents to leave. This is way far from any kind of ending in sight. TIME TO GO!!! Get out now while you still can. I also highly recommend that the emergency management staff in the RVs and command center pods retreat and relocate to higher and safer ground immediately. I believe that GOD made it rain so hard so folks could see the methane coming up through the ground as a last warning. What if Im right?? Good enough to make me want to hightail it out of there, stubborn or not.

A very real and possible solution to the sinkhole in Bayou Corne.
