Title: Mysterious tremors raise questions

Nobody quite knows what caused the ground in some parts of Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes to shake, but it certainly has people talking.
Giant sinkhole is located in Assumption Parish
A little before 2 p.m. Wednesday, reports began flooding in to officials of tremors accompanied by a loud noise. [...]
Some people reported hearing a loud noise similar to thunder accompanying the rumbling. [...]
[USGS] had nothing to report, though its closest monitors are in Assumption Parish and extreme west Terrebonne [...]
Paul Caruso, a geophysicist with the Geological Survey’s National Earthquake Center, said there are not many seismic monitors in south Louisiana because there is rarely any such activity in the area. [...]
Discussion of Sinkhole
“Of course the sinkhole comes to mind,” said Raceland resident Lauren Matherne, who was sitting in her home with [sic] she felt the jolt.
Residents of the Assumption Parish community of Bayou Corne felt light tremors in the months leading up to the emergence of the 400 foot-wide sinkhole [...]
Though Lafourche and Terrebonne have similar brine caverns (Emphasis Added), Boudreaux said there is no reason to believe there are any similarities to the Bayou Corne situation.
“It’s just strange. Of course, we are all concerned about what caused it,” Matherne said.

With the clues all there, only one lawyer has thus far hit the nail on the head, in vague terms. Sad commentary, that no one seems to be able to figure out the problem.

15 Nuclear Reactors on New Madrid Fault Line
“There are 15 nuclear power plants in the New Madrid fault zone — three reactors in Alabama — that are of the same or similar design as the site in Japan experiencing problems….”

The Little Known New Madrid Pipeline Bomb
August 22nd, 2012
“We’ve heard a lot about the New Madrid Fault. Despite the dangers and warnings, the area continues to be flooded, fracked, drilled, HAARPed, and tornadoed, with extreme weather fluctuations only escalating. All the while this region is home to 15 nuclear reactors.
“As if that’s not enough, there’s also a little known factor that will really make your hair stand on end. The fault zone is criss-crossed with major gas and oil pipelines delivering these volatile energy sources all over the United States.
“An earthquake in the middle of the country, along the precarious New Madrid fault, could have enormous fiscal and energy consequences. ‘Virtually every natural gas pipeline in the nation is built over that fault,’ Geller says. ‘You’ll see the explosion reflected off the moon.’…”

“Big Oil and Gas Fracking
“Since September of 2010, nearly 800 earthquakes rattled Arkansas and the New Madrid Fault Line. The entire state only experienced 38 quakes in 2009.
“The New Madrid Zone is believed to be a part of a complex of faults that extends down the Mississippi Valley into The Gulf of Mexico. In fact, the oil volcano that was unleashed by the BP disaster last year is thought to be at the southern tip of this volatile area. Not only are oil and gas being extracted from beneath this zone at enormous rates, but an extraction process called fracking is further exacerbating seismic activity in the region and might even trigger a mega-quake.
“Hydraulic fracturing (fracking) pumps water and chemicals into the ground at a pressurized rate exceeding what the bedrock can withstand, resulting in a microquake that produces rock fractures. A close look at Arkansas’ history of earthquakes and drilling reveals a shockingly noticeable surge in quake frequency following advanced drilling.
“Fracking is now a global technique for finding natural gas….”

Add to this the nuclear effect of the dynamic disequilibrium hitting spots on the earth with surges that compare with the tectonic forces and you realise the axiom: More Fukushimas are certain is satisfied with a frequency which made me say: Every nuclear reactor is an extinction level event as time passes. Is this on the national news???
Unexplained explosions…shouldn't someone call out the national guard…Oh wait that might call attention to the ecological disater at a time when the elections are being decided…why not wait.

many moons we have had so many ecological disasters that the Feds/National Guards/media and so on would be too busy. Also, they have to give the greedy guts time to hide and clean things up before it's officially recorded.

So many ecological disaters??? And is that a topic that comes up in the election debates???
I think the Green party-Jill Stein for president is the way to vote! Not only does the US need a third party to compete against the two that are now one, the US has to start addressing the greedy who are making life difficult for many. If policies begin now, perhaps in 20 years the US can be turned away from the "ecological disaters" you speak of.

Hi many moons
No it hasn't come up, but should.
My dream is for someone to play the game long enough to get elected. Then do something courageous about the environment, working towards world peace, working for the people and our Country. That's just my wishful thinking.
