Don’t worry, faraway or whoopie. I’ve been checking enenews since early March, and they don’t miss anything. Best news sit on the web at this point, IMHO.
Don´t give up, Whoopie. We love you and your old bones.
I wish I would be able to post at least one good news.
Actually Reuters Germany informed us that they´ve lost control about fires around Los Alamos.
Can anybody confirm this? Is there an english link anybody can share here?
The fire is 0% contained at this time. That is typical for a fire like this during early days of extreme fire activity. This is one of the most extreme fire’s in the region’s history in relation to the speed that it grew, it burned over 50 square miles in its first day and has now burned around 90 square miles. They have no control.
As parts of the fire approach town, which has less fuels (dried trees) to burn, they will likely be able to establish a fire line.
Wanting evacuees to return home in the Japanese exclusion zone, saying the power plant is slowly becoming stable, and by mid July perhaps people can return to their homes…
He stated that the risk for hydrogen explosions is reduced…
3 core melt-throughs and they talk about stabilizing cooling. Certainly, circulating water in the reactors will cool them nicely, since the rods are clumped slop on a concrete floor.
They are encouraging fishermen to fish and they plan to start caning foods for sale, also farmers are encouraged to grow and sale farmed goods. http://www.renseradio.com/listenlive.htm
What would be really pathetic is if we have a bunch of near misses (besides Fukushima) and the country goes back to sleep (its not even really awake now). And then business as usual. THEN BOOM.
A “Made in America” jeans logo? Finally, the U.S. economic morons are realizing that Americans need jobs and high paying ones at that to be productive and pay taxes. Who would have thought?
The lack of media coverage is total insanity. Right now I am trying to figure a way to make them feel it in their wallet. I visit the HuffPost pretty often to make sure people are aware of enenews.
Those that sow misinformation that leads to death need to be criminally prosecuted.

Indeed.

I just hope the site doesn’t lose sight of the F.D. disaster, a much more developed and serious situation, at the moment.

I’m pretty much a new member here – but I’m sure they won’t lose sight. It’s just that so much is happening HERE right now.

Wind direction?
Report Comment
The predominant wind direction throughout the region is from the South West. It is blowing the fire directly towards LANL.
