Not to me Anthony, I think it is propaganda. Put together in a way to distract from the fact it is a global disaster. Isolated back to Fukushima and redefining the the consequences back to a single point. It is ongoing, just started, far from over. The victimization of the Japanese is not what I heard.

Correction: It will remain closed forever!

I don't like the video – it talks nothing of health effects – only financial.

Compensation is secondary – health problems are the real issue.

Compensation? Who is going to pay?

T is broke. They are getting bailed out by the government, which is also broke. Japan has as much or more debt that Greece does, and they are also broke. If you count all of the debt vs income, the US is also broke.

So they are going to get guess who to pay?

Oh Yea, the same sheeple all the banks in the US and government in Europe went to, after the US banks imploded from too risky gambling schemes, just like the nuke industry is imploding right now in Japan…

    TAXPAYERS. Pay up, NOW.

So taxpayers end up paying compensation to the government, who pays the private for profit nuclear utility company, so they can pay the taxpayers..

But do not ask the nuclear industry to cover the TOTAL cost, because they bailed out a long time ago. They transferred the risk to the public, meaning Joe Schmoe, who knows nothing about nuclear power and is being told it is all 'safe' and not at all 'risky'.

    Does this sound familiar?

Does this sound like a Pyramid scheme, anyone?

Just pay us, and we will pay you back times 10 or 100 just as soon as possible, we promise…

Just maybe… if they start cranking up the printing presses and print off a couple of Trillion, that should take care of it, MAYBE.

It may be enough, as long as they do not have to clean up anywhere… Just leave the dirty laundry where it lays.. the cleaning lady left on vacation, permanently.

The cleaning lady told me she does not clean up Pandora's Box type messes.

    Sorry… good luck with that.

    • Yes! Well Said, A Green Road

      and here's some evidence:

"Japanese Utility Tepco to Get Help From Banks" Wall Street Journal, Mar 7, 2012 print edition p. B5

"Tepco has said it is planning to raise electricity rates for corporate users by an average of 17% in April, sparking strong protests from businesses and municipalities. The utility is also planning a 10% rise in rates for households later in the year, according to government officials"

Japanese government is going to build a remote Japan in India

Japanese government is going to build a remote Japanese city in Chennai of India by cooperating with private sector.
It can accommodate 50,000 people with factory complex, shopping mall, and hospital etc..
Edano, minister of economy visited Chennal on 1/10/2012 to ask for the state’s help.

    http://fukushima-diary.com/2012/01/japanese-government-build-remote-japan-india/

The government might be broke now but only becasue of their investment in their future. And the Japanese will pay for it with higher electric costs that are not necessary.

The recalculation found that the country would have a surplus power supply of up to 6 percent even without a government order for power restrictions if renewable energy supply and other elements were factored in. The recalculated data was compiled in August last year and was reported to Prime Minister Kan, but it was never released to the public.

Hisashi Kajiyama, research fellow at the Fujitsu Research Institute, who was a member of the team assisting Kan and took part in the recalculation of the estimate, said the initial estimate was biased. "The (released) estimate is based on the extreme presumption that was drawn from claims by utilities. The figures in the estimate led to politicians' remarks approving the restarting of nuclear plants.

Japanese increase surplus solar energy by 50%

The country cracked down on inefficiency as a matter of course and as a whole, exceeded national energy conservation mandates. And now, another trend is emerging from the island nation: according to Reuters, owners of small solar panel installations sold 50 percent more power back to their utilities in 2011 than in the previous year.

At the same time these reports were coming out another article was about Tepco having a cable that was too short to reach the machines to give us the data from the plants. I wrote this.

      A Cable too short…

A Cable too short to touch the depths of despair,
now a billion years for humanity to repair

A little white lie spoken this day,
is meant to make the facts go away

      Oh yes, heads will roll,
while those responsible will take a stroll

      Higher electric costs to pay
so the chosen elite can run away

      At a beach side resort
      they will spend their days

      While their victims die,
      in so many painful ways

For they have no where to run,
because sadly, the damage has already been done

A Cable too short to reach those in despair
      has left children suffering there
