Straight lines the one photo shows..that is not caused by Mother Nature..so yes, guess its more Corexit spraying. Now to see if EPA or USCG OKAYED the spraying..FOIA anyone? You would think they could just POST the info..as it happens..make it a standard operating procedure to keep the public(us taxpayers which pay their salaries..)..INFORMED. What happened to "transparency" we were promised…??

"those little thingies called..Rovies" require a surface vessel and are attached by an imbilical. The 'ancient' vid has nothing to do with current events- The chemical being injected was a packing grease sealant that goes between casing strings–
Corexit is clear- colorless and could not-would not be seen once mixed in water.
No where is it call Corexit in the vid– no where was it called anything but chemical– because the narrator didn't know what it was—

I'll yield this point Thad. The guess that I made about it being sprayed Corexit from a plane was not well researched. I do like your wave theory. Now, the source of the waves? Naturally occuring, HAARP!, bunch of Puertoricans paddling to Florida?
(sarc) So you think it is subs with woofers? Sound waves is interesting. Earth frequencies? What other possible and likely sources can you think of?

Seriously– looking back there was a weather change that day from a northern flow reversing to from the south. It could be the building of the swell pattern from the south. Swells and waves are caused by a set of different dynamics- Have been on the water and seen the waves and swells running at close to 90 degrees to each other. The bending of the pattern could be due to water depth change..Know of several possibles BUT honestly don't know actual–

That "Lab Work" was as meaningless two years ago when first done as it is today. It shows the mechanical reaction of mixing Corexit with Oil in water. an Nothing more. And even so magnet nixer and distilled water is not a representive marine enviroment.
NO tests of toxicity or poisoning. No tests using living creature such as mysid shrimp as the EPA test require..
Civil engineer is not a marine biologist that– really not qualified or he would have known of the EPA testing procedure and could have duplocated it for demonstration of toxicity–

I'm not laughing. My immediate thought when I read the headline was : what else besides frequency makes water maintain specific patterns? But I got caught up and "went" with the thread, thinking spraying through with an open mind. Two problems come to mind using that theory. 1) 3 intersecting ocean wave patterns would disrupt the line of spray within under a minute after laying it down…so either this isn't spraying or the pix are downright LYING HOAXES because this photographer would have had to be on the tail of a second plane or in the spray plane. 2). I was not aware that corexit produces currents of its own within the body of dynamic ocean wave action. So why the ripples in the other pic, above what is likely to be an ocean floor rupture? No one addressed the ripples, whether natural or man made. I'm not sure this is relevant, but in the last half dozen years, we've also seen cloud formations in perfectly straight lines, line after line. I'm not saying that has anything to do with this…just tossing it out. What I'm saying is, can anyone see the possibility of frequencies causing static ocean visuals, be they natural or not?

Exactly- there is a phenomenia 'standing wave' due to frequency of resonance and is present in solids, liquids and gases.
In the ocean it is most interesting– ancient Polynesian use the reflected stand wave from islands to navigate hundreds – thousand of miles exploring/ settling the Paific–and today the skill still exist—Nat Geo did a story- took a long trip — no nav aids but sailors skill.

This is far out but, sound also creates waves. Just throwing things out there.
Color looks like oil, we already know the Gulf has tons of it.

Please don't tease us. Of course we'd like the information regarding what it is you've released these pictures to say. All we can see is what was posted…which the text seemed to steer toward the ripples being unusual, or unusual because of the straight lines. Please explain why oil she makes ripples…or are you saying the ripples in that spot are "highlighted" and show up more because of oil sheen? Is there an explanation for the straight lines? Was another plane in the area? Was there arial spraying of any kind?

The gulfstream flow slowed because of BP oil in the gulf. How ingeniously coincidental of Mother Nature to out-gas this methane so close to the New Horizon… What are the odds?
