The Asahi Shimbun, June 17, 2014: Asked why the government officials only expanded the evacuation zones in increments, [Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Tetsuro Fukuyama] told committee members that it was feared that major traffic jams could ensue [...] Asked why the officials did not issue an evacuation order for people living in a radius of 20 km to 30 km from the plant, Fukuyama suggested they instead were ordered to remain indoors as an emergency response, because it was estimated that it could take four to five days to evacuate all the 140,000 residents [...] Fukuyama’s testimony shows that he apologized for the government’s decision for forcing residents in the area to wait inside buildings for as long as 10 days. [...] 80 percent of [evacuees surveyed] said they believe the government’s evacuation orders were inappropriate. Even though the government expanded evacuation zones in stages, extensive traffic congestion actually blocked evacuation efforts in many areas.

That is anything but the case, as indicated by estimates of predicted dispersions of radioactive materials made by local governments around nuclear power plants. [...] the Hyogo prefectural government used data on past weather patterns to estimate what levels of radiation thyroid glands would be exposed to in the event of Fukushima-class disasters taking place at both the Oi and Takahama plants. It found that the doses could exceed the international benchmark of 50 millisieverts in seven days, even on Awajishima island, which is 150 kilometers from the nuclear power plants.[...] Viable evacuation plans [...] need to be in place before issuing the order to evacuate. Otherwise, chaos can result. This was made clear from [the above] statements [...] by Tetsuro Fukuyama [...] the NRA has yet to embark on this task in earnest, mainly because it is engaged in safety screenings ahead of nuclear power plant restarts. [...] Toshiki Kudo, mayor of Hakodate in Hokkaido, who filed a lawsuit demanding the suspension of 
construction of the Oma nuclear power plant in neighboring Aomori Prefecture, warned that the same old “safety myth” of nuclear power generation will be perpetuated if the project is allowed to have its way. “It will be game over for our country if the government stops trying its hardest to win the understanding of the people,” Kudo said.

Most interesting recent post by PhilipUpNorth, monitoring the current readings there for Iodine-131, which keeps going UP, meaning NEW ONGOING FISSIONING marked by that short-lived istope.

And the Japan Olympics? That mess is a JOKE. No way will Japan host the 2020 Olympics, and if they did, they would have to somehow find workers to fill necessary positions, from other countries.

Year three, and as predicted, they are dying.
Children are coming down with thyroid diseases, again, as expected. Women; same. Fetuses are being aborted as they are found to have severe deformities; this is in women who can even become pregnant (due to their own reproductive disorders or that of their partners.) Leukemia is beginning to show up, now.
But, is Japan putting out date specific to this being secondary to Fukushima fallout? Of course, not; that's a, "State Secret".
The numbers of (former) Japanese officials now with cancers? HUGE percentage have had or currently do have cancer.
In the US, we are seeing the same, beginning (mostly) with thyroid ailments, including cysts, nodules, and cancers, as well as brain and spinal deformities in newborns, leaving them dying soon after birth or dead at birth. Now, is the US government releasing data on this? No, because this is no longer an open society, either.

Professor Koide said that 10,000,000 people in Japan (from the Tohoku, etc.) should have been evacuated in the early days. He was absolutely 100% correct. (The criteria for evacuation was over 40,000 becquerels per square meter, a statutory legal requirement in Japan, if memory is correct.) He is still one of the most intelligent people in Japan, even though Japan punished him by keeping at the associate level in Kyoto University for over 20 years because of his skepticism about nuclear safety.
The simulation was apparently only for Cs-137. Adding all the radionuclides would have looked much worse, but Cs-137 is truly incredibly deadly. On a long term scale, Cs-137 is more than 100X more deadly to humans than pure botulism poison (less than 20 picograms of Cs-137 per kilogram of muscle tissue should be able to eventually kill you by Chernobyl Heart, versus 2 nanograms of botulism per kilogram of muscle tissue).

Yes, AND: Strontium is apparently also super-deadly. But apparently for some reason (unsure what) that doesn't show up in massive quantities ongoing until about two years in. A previous article detailed how now bringing in someone from the U.S. to specifically get the strontium (not cesium, not anything else) out of the continuing emissions.
Strontium kills off bones, also causes leukemia. Cesium apparently destroys the heart muscle (plus much else,) causing heart attacks at a young age.
Nothing good came out of nuclear. Oh, electricity, you say? As a by-product of enriching uranium for bomb production? Who needs it?

Yes, Sr-90 (almost 5.2 becquerels per picogram) is considerably worse than Cs-137 (over 3.2 becquerels per picogram). And it bio-concentrates in fish bones by about 63,000X (for fish that eat fish). Plus it goes into humans bones so that it can beta particle irradiate the bone marrow, the source of about 90% of the entire immune system, including 100% of the adaptive immune system. Milk products would nicely concentrate it too.

People do know and being from TMI land I can tell you how stupid people are. lol They believe that nuclear power is safe, yet that is their double think since they know, I mean KNOW, it's incredibly dangerous and damaging on a scale of eons. Breaking down the myths of cheapness, safety through pictures of deformed children, and how it's going to kill children for the rest of our time on this planet is a way to talk about it I've found. It has been well known internationally that the USA got hammered with C-137 from Fuku. It is still showing up in dairy products. Now as we watch the model the C-137 bleeds all over the world. This was modeled on 80 days…here we are 3.3 years in and the situation continues to deteriorate.

Fukushima Daiichi alone–not to mention other radiological releases–is proof that much more than 50 milliSieverts can be received in a 7 day period…and can, in fact, happen without people even knowing it.
BirdHairJP on Youtube has video evidence of radiological hotspots existing within frequently "lived-in" places.
For example, one video showing a reading–loose in the environment–of an 86 microSieverts/hr hotspot…in the–shall we say–rare event that a human was dosed by that for a full year, that person would receive a dose of 700 milliSieverts that year!
And oh my dear friends…what about the hotspot reading 132 microSieverts/hour?…where, if you were exposed to it for a whole year–however unlikely–you would receive a dose of a whopping 1.15 Sieverts.
Though it may seem unlikely at first…those hotspots–as shown by people like Bionerd on Youtube–can actually be the result of a single, very tiny partical or agregate…tiny enough in many cases…to eventually end up on a plate..without being noticed.
It's sad, but true. We must recongnize where we are if we are to choose a meaningfull direction to head in. We all want health and happiness for ourselves and our friends and families…from the most righteous, to the best of us, to the rest of us…we can all agree…every individual, on that.

Not just POTUS: I knew. We all knew if we used logic and plotted the direction and speed of the Jetstream. I went to FL before it arrived in MA. Earthsmith, i was there. That, plus: protests and court cases where our legal committee presented thousands of pages of discarded blueprint sheets…found in the town dump! And turned into the legal affinity group….showing the plant had been built in a flawed manner, and the cooling pipes did not link up. It was a deep concerted effort to shut it down by students, workers, activists, legal folks, housewives, even the media helped out.n Wish it could be like that now…..

Well, that's becoming more obvious everyday. Who are they and why do they think they are so superior to the roiling masses? I get it. There's too many people, but there has to be better ways to slim down a bit. I did read once that they wanted a global environmental crisis because that was the only way to get the population to accept global governance. But a corporate police state doesn't need the acceptance, they have state sponsored violence and immunity. Surely the blue blooded social engineers have better methods than apocalyptic, nuclear pollution that might never stop. Then again, it's invisible, maybe it's like project bluebeam or maybe they accidentally polluted the world and destroyed the human genome. I knew it was bad at the time but I didn't know how bad. We were hit by three dirty bombs from a distance of over 5,000 miles away. What is happening in Japan is unimaginable. How the Japanese are dealing with it is even more unreal.
What are you suppose to do at ground zero? Watch the weather and wind patterns and keep fleeing in different directions along with millions of other people until the spewing subsides? But they will talk of restarting nuclear power reactors and building more.
Quality of life goes down. Cancer and background radiation levels go up. All manmade or caused by man. I don't know what it takes to end this insanity called nuclear power generation. No Geiger counter can detect Tritium, period.
Same goes for plutonium, especially at low levels, that can still kill you.
Depending on the sensitivity and type, you may not detect anything, unless a nuclear bomb just exploded near you.
Geiger Counters are not foolproof, but highly advised, because they are better than nothing, just like a smoke alarm.
Buy a pancake model if you can afford it.

Doc, great for you, but you were already hit 3 years ago and the sporadic radiation signatures you received could have dissipated by now. Initial plumb damage has already been done/felt and sadly will be enjoyed by many humans/wildlife over the next 30 years.

So true; everyone was 'hit' by radiation after 3/11. But no one felt the punch in the gut at the atomic level, because it is all invisible. That makes this poison that much more dangerous; you cannot see it, smell it, taste it, or sense it in any way. It is the most dangerous, most toxic, most deadly poison that has ever been invented.
So far, no one can even trace the poison that kills a person back to the source, or the killer.
Radiation is used by assassins for that reason.

All of the homeland of Japan should have been systematically evacuated after 3/11/11.
There were 4 major meltdowns going on.
Instead, folks sheltered in place for 10 days.

Count on cell phones to be down because of heavy call volume.
As we saw with Fukushima, nuke plants are highly vulnerable to ANY type of emergency.
Any type of natural or manmade disaster that happens near a nuclear power plant could cut grid power to the plant.
Grid power is required for normal operation of nuclear power plants.
If and when the backup generators fail, or run out of fuel, a LOCA (Loss Of Coolant Accident) will occur.
A meltdown will follow within hours.
The Government will not tell you what is happening, nor tell you when to evacuate.
Wouldn't want to cause a traffic jam, would 'ja,…

Here are the bones of our Family Evacuation Plan.
Preps to fill a car are already packed for easy transfer to the car. Lists tell what to take, in case I'm not home.
Loading the car should be done in 5 minutes.
They include camping gear, food, water, hunting and fishing gear, passports, and documents, etc.
Tarps, ropes, tools, flashlights, radios, 20 year batteries, digitized backups of family photos, maps, etc. stay in both cars at all times.
I count on cell phones and power being out.
So our plan is just to go.
Don't try to make it to the house
If possible, get gas. But don't get stuck waiting in long lines. (I try to keep my cars nearly full at all times.)
Our destination is a friends house one tank of gas from where we live.
So their address and phone numbers are included.
The plan is to take expressways until traffic begins to stop and go.
There aremetropolitan areas between the house and our friends place, which we will probably want to avoid if there is panic or civil disorder.
Leave the radio on.
Keep changing stations to the town just ahead along your route, so you know what to expect.
I have maps in each car.
A road map for my state, and for the states I will cross.
I also carry county maps for those states in my car.
I have highlited routes to get around metro areas, and even have a back roads route highlited to stay away from all cities entirely.

Santa Barbara, CA: A female friend of mine [36] has "not been feeling well" for quite some time with flu like symptoms. I remember several months back she had complained of this, and I noted a constant cough. Now, her 16 yr old daughter has been diagnosed with throat cancer that has metastasized to the abdomen. Their dog died from it last year. I never mentioned Fuku or radiation, what good would it do? Now my 18 yr old has moved to this same area against my wishes. She has asthma, which automatically compromises her immune system. I feel like an idiot sending out hoardes of organic supplements that I think might actually help. Magical thinking I guess. There will come a time when all of us are either are sick or personally know someone who is. Radiation, as we all know, can wreak havoc on the body and produce a range of illnesses. I know in my heart that someday I will receive that dreaded phone call..

Whatever happened to accountability on the part of anyone. All the none followed up stories in the news. There is never any follow through on big stories, so the consequences are lost. For example what is happening with the damage from the floods in CO. What is going on with the drought etc.
TPTB only operate in crisis mode. Our leaders the ones we see are empty suits. Its the same for the fascists running the show in Japan. Just like here nobody quits when they screw up. In fact sometimes they're promoted if they do it with finesse.
