Fukushima Children To Stay In Czech Republic For Recovery

About 30 children from Fukushima [...] will stay in the Czech Republic for recovery in August, according to a proposal passed by the Czech government’s meeting Wednesday.

Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg promised to help the Fukushima children during a visit to Japan, China’s Xinhua news agency reported.

These children, 12-14 years old, are from the town of Namie

[...]

They will spend the first two weeks in a child sanatorium in Ricany near Prague. An individual care programme will be ensured for each of the children

[...]

Wikipedia: “A sanatorium has different meanings depending on the region of residence. Historically for Americans and most European countries it is a medical facility for long-term illness [...] On the other hand, for most Eastern Europeans including Russians, Ukrainians, Czechs, and other national cultures sanatorium mostly means a kind of hotel with health resort facilities and various available services (such as massage, pools, saunas, aromatherapy, oxygenotherapy, etc.) not covered by medical insurance.”

Few are the times that I am shocked on Enenews — in a good way. This is one of them. Huge respect for the Czechs.

Hopefully the children will be treated fully humanely, and now the doctors will be able to see what Fukushima has really wrought.

Two ways to look at this.

Publicity tour, with healthy children for the cameras.

Or, test subjects, to see how they compare to the Chernobyl kids.

Either way, innocent pawns in an evil grown-ups world.

So much media attention focused on the area near the accident, possibly in order to create the illusion that it's only dangerous there?

      Chernobyl – 20 years after
      27-04-2006 12:32 | Pavla Horáková

For days after the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power station, on April 30th, 1986, Czechoslovak Radio announced that the situation at the power plant was improving. Precisely at that time the radioactive cloud had reached Czechoslovakia.

"..During unrelated research Dr Peterka discovered a singular irregularity in the newborn sex ratio which occurred in November 1986, seven months after the disaster. In that month fewer boys were born than girls, which had never occurred in the 50 years that records have been kept. Male foetuses are generally more vulnerable, and Dr Peterka believes their loss can be blamed on the post-Chernobyl radiation.
However, this hypothesis is disputed by some other experts who say no similar findings have been made elsewhere after Chernobyl and also the doses here, some 1,100 kilometres away from Chernobyl, were very small compared to even natural radiation that everyone is exposed to in the environment.
Today, there are two nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic, at Dukovany, which was built in the late 1980s, and at Temelin. Both not far from the border with fiercely anti-nuclear Austria. It is the Temelin plant that has received most publicity, mainly because opponents to nuclear power say it is potentially unsafe, combining Soviet design and western operating technologies. .."

    • This would be a worrisome development,

but I wouldn't be surprised given the steam/smoke activity we've seen at the plant.

Also, screen shots taken by ChasAha using the 3rd webcam (not TBS, not Tepco) have been rather alarming (see in webcam discussion forum)

However, I cannot decode the videos well enough to tell whether it is gone or not.

      Opinions please…

    Shockingly poor quality video ….

It looks as if radiation has degraded the camera severely and

Weather/Fog/Radioactive steam venting from ground looks bad

Silence from Tepclowns is deafening and from GE Wonder Men

It appears sfp4 may still stand … with an excavator up on top

    Peace …

weeman…I'm with you. I'm hoping it's folks with good intent trying to help at least a little. 30 out of X# millions — virtually orphaned, strangers in a strange new land. But at least someone is reaching out in compassion and trying to help.

I won't give in to cynicism. I still believe there are some good folks in the world trying to do right.

The 2 percent need to be taught a lesson again, as in the French revolution, bring back the gulliten

This is wonderful news for 30 children from Fukushima.
But..this "human interest" story serves to minimize the situation of the children left behind in the surrounding areas near Fukushima Npp.
Children are being held captive by the deceptive medical practices of the health professionals.
    Tested..like lab specimen.
I wonder how many chidren will be shunted away for treatment..to a sanitorium…never to be seen again?

Way to go Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg and the Czech Republic.

Now let's see the rest of the countries of the world step forward.

Gosh, we might even see Prime Minister Koda grow a conscience if the world community shames him enough. What type of leader would allow the children of his own country to be murdered, either by his inaction or direct involvement?

Well okay, let's make a short list.

    1. Joseph Stalin.
    2. Adolf Hitler
    3. Saddam Hussein
    4. Idi Amin

It seems most countries and or leaders have at one point been responsible for mass murders of it's people.

Prime Minister Koda, are you a believer in Shintoism and do you pray to your ancestors? If this is so, you needn't bother them as they are ashamed and disgraced through what you have done and are doing.

That being said, please don't worry about your after-life as there is a very special place reserved in Hell with eternal torment. It has your name on it unless you develop honor, compassion, and integrity.
