Title: A Kernel of Wheat: Japan’s Future after 3.11, Part of the ‘March to Recovery’ series
Source: NHK
Upload by: MissingSky101
Date Aired: October 28, 2012
Narrator: Umehara participated in the government’s reconstruction design council.
Japanese Philosopher Takeshi Umehara: [...] Actually, I’d call it a civilization disaster. Our civilization is met with disaster.
What is this civilization? It uses nuclear power to enrich human life and make it convenient. That’s the civilization that’s met with such disaster. I consider this a judgment on our whole present civilization. How shall we respond to this judgment against our civilization?

Our civilization regularly invites disaster through greed, stupidity, selfishness, and ego; it has since the beginning of time. People are stupid, selfish, and delusional: in that order. It's "lovely" that NHK spent the time and money to make a fu**ing documentary when they should have been screaming out an evacuation order 24 hours a day.
Arclight when you bring mediumship things to the table can you add their human scientific basis please? Use measurable anomalous neurological output, scientific recorded EMF anomalies, visibly altered DNA strands, elevated endocrine production, measurable change in brain wave patterns, anything. It will save you a lot of headache.
As far as this guy Smith is concerned, has he screamed to all world politicians, personally, for Fukushima to be evacuated and if he hasn't, why not? Everybody needs to bring something to the table, including "spiritualists" who want more money an hour than nurses to "shine their lights".
I personally believe in eternal life but that doesn't give me a reason to act like a clueless, insensitive drone to the plight of people elsewhere. Some people use spirituality to uplift them so they can help others. Others use it an excuse NOT to help.
Everyone needs to help. Evacuate Fukushima.

agreed arclight. Umehara reflections are the way. This is prerequisite thought if we're to move forward.
Putting out a fire doesn't prevent the next one. Knowing why they're being lit goes a long way towards preventing the next one.
I welcome Umehara's sane perspective and explanations as to why we are where we find ourselves today…

I can't get into the Japan Times because it's moving super slow. Does anyone know about the dead soldier in Nakasaki? I'll post it over on non-nuclear.

true mediumship is more censored than nuclear for a longer time too
"The prosecution may be explained by the mood of suspicion prevailing at the time: the authorities were afraid that she could continue to reveal classified information, whatever her source was.[8] There were also concerns that she was exploiting the recently bereaved, as the Recorder noted when passing sentence."

His brother is a tibetan buddhist monk
the dalai lama said that the japanese people should have to choose be able to choose nuclear or not
and the japanese buddhist federation has stated that nuclear is "incompatible with life"
also spiritualism is very compatible with the japanese respect for ancestors.. the japanese are aware of their presence and respectful of their work while they were alive so this is ontopic and doesnt require peer reviewed statistical BS imo
and having talked with gordon .. he cares…

!!! NPP in Krško, Slovenia, EU manually stopped beacuse of problems on secondary cooling system !!!
While publicly proclaimed pro-nuclear "nuclear inspector" claims no harmfull effects to people or environment, Krško is again showing elevated levels of I-131 and CS-137 on Eurdep.
During the day large amounts of steam were released from the plant.
Since the nuclear propaganda and disinformation in Slovenia is on level to that in Japan, another cover up imminent.

New earthquake data for Tokyo and its not good for nuclear
Tokyo prepares for the ‘Big One’
NATIONAL OCT. 29, 2012
“In the past five years, nearly 300 seismographs have been installed in Tokyo schools at a cost of over 1.0 billion yen, transmitting data to a central authority.
But the plan has also revealed worrying subterranean activity: fault lines far shallower than previously thought.
“It was a great shock to me,” said Sakai at Tokyo’s quake research institute, as he stared as his seismograph-connected laptop. “It’s constantly moving down there.””

I try to forget about the abstract spiritualism that has no real connection to what is happening with the four hundred nukes around the world hanging on by a string. I gotta agree though, something like Fukushima should be a civilizational wake up call, while we still have time to bury nukes. No matter how hard Japan tries to cover up what has happened to them, they can't make their nuclear mistake go away. Perhaps if people were spiritually grounded they would know to oppose nukes, but then, in India, people are dead set against the new southern plant operating, and it makes no difference. We can be dead set against phony wars and debt based money too and it makes no difference. I see the problem of civilization is the same one talked about in the first written story of Gilgamesh and it is the same as in the Torah or Old Testament as well, the human misconception that he dominates nature and stands at its apex calling the shots, because the world was given to him to trash and burn and loot. Japan although not Indo European as in Gilgamesh or Torah, nevertheless is the same civilizationally. They are extincting the bluefin tuna for nothing more than a food fad. It is said that in the olden days the samurai disdained the red meat maguro and toro. The high point of Japanese civilization is mercury laden sashimi from an endangered majestic fish and then home on the bullet train running off fifty nukes, to a radioactive thyroid. To think it coulda been zen.
