Govt. knew radiation fallout forecast reliable
A report suggests that Japan’s government knew its radiation fallout simulations were reliable, but refused to release the data for more than one month after the nuclear accident in Fukushima.NHK has obtained the science ministry’s draft report on its responses to the accident, including the handling of the SPEEDI simulation system.
The report says the ministry sent officials to Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture on March 15th last year based on a forecast by the system on the same day.
Measurements showed that the town located 20 kilometers from the nuclear plant had high levels of radiation — 330 microsieverts per hour.

What they have hidden will do more damage to the economy than they can possibly imagine.
Had they released the data and helped people relocate to southern areas of Japan for starters.
Now all they have is a nuclear wasteland filled with people getting sick and dying.
Land that is totally unusable.
Distrust of ANY Japanese products is increasing everyday.
Can you possibly imagine the massive healthcare costs that are already starting? Unfathomable…..
On a side note…..if they would just share the damn data the people will deal with it much better than they realize, they just need to KNOW NOW so they can begin.

OMG-Goodness. The "…data was only predictions and releasing it could have caused unnecessary public disorder…"!
Official thinking:
We'd rather have them die than have them panic!
Public disorder is so unnecessrily disorderly!
Never believe a prediction until after it comes true!
–Even then, it's best not to believe…
So many people pointed to the dangers, going way back. The earliest I know of was a nuclear engineer employed at FukuDai who explained a flood threat in 1991; it was reported on enenews:
http://enenews.com/ex-fukushima-daiichi-reactor-operator-inside-of-reactors-are-still-alive-most-worried-about-recriticality-there-is-still-a-risk-of-melted-fuel-rods-to-become-active-tepco-must-measure-neutro
He subsequently quit working for Tepco, but wrote to them after the large Indonesian EQ and tsunami a few years ago. He predicted that such a flooding could happen at FukuDai. Others, such as Leuren Moret, have also warned and predicted.
But as stated, officials don't listen to predictions until they become actualized facts.
Therefore, the next time you are in a disaster area, don't wait for official information. Trust your own instincts and knowledge and hightail it out there.

P.S: As Izzy Stone said, "Don't believe anything until it is officially denied!!!"

And yet people still think the government is here to protect us.
