Kino: There’s been a rumour that there are uneven settlements of the ground around the unit 4 building. So I don’t understand why you haven’t surveyed the ground.
NISA: If we experience an earthquake, of course, uneven settlements of the ground could occur. However, the building is basically set on the bedrock. There was a case at the Kashiwazaki nuclear power plant but we think we need to consider the unevenness of the building and its surrounding area separately.

NISA uses the term "basically" very loosely…
Sorry, but gravity doesn't care about the consideration they give a building. If the ground falls, so does the building.

Yes, interesting story about Kashiwazaki-Kariwa NPP. Kariwa has 7 reactors and holds 25% more fuel than Fukushima Daiichi, twice as much as Daiini.
It had a bad day in the Great Earthquake of 2007 despite being the first in the world to build the vaunted ABWR reactors (units 6 and 7) which are GE's state of the art Generation III reactors.
It took 21 months to restart those bruisers after the quake. Major land subsidence issues. It still needs a new 49 foot tsunami wall, but we know that the odds of that happening and the megaplex restarting is slim. The money needed to bring these fragile monsters up to earthquake/tsunami codes is beyond the ability of TEPCO to pay for a retrofit even if the poisoned Japanese people decided they would allow it to reopen.
TEPCO can't even spend the tens of billions needed to stop Fukushima Daiichi, or reimburse the trillions it will need for reparations when the dead zone is extended (and I have strong confidence that in time the Diet will be forced to issue more evacuation orders).

'Major land subsidence issues'. Isn't this the reason they can't encase the site in concrete? The weight would slide the whole thing into the sea.
I remember an article here about the geology under the plants liquifying, due to the earthquakes and the land mass sliding slowly into the sea.
In China, the government would hunt down every single one of the people involved that took a bribe and sentence them to death.
In Japan, they stay protected and keep their money while the country dies.

Has anyone mentioned to the "speaker" on the "bedrock" comment of a slight problem with his "theory?" Its the bedrock which can get shifted and moved in these large quakes. If it never moved..we would not have tsunamis or movement of earth. Just saying..

Many people were not here in the early days and weeks of even months so they wouldn’t, but we see people come and awaken slowly to what many knew from the onset, we still see people realizing and posting thing that have been sorted through and excepted to what may be as we see others awaking to these facts and or possibilities, we all get to the same subject’s sooner or later, as these NEW news stories seem new to some, they are old territory to others, but new thought of possibility’s are read with interest because we understand the reasoning that brought them to it learning more with each passing day as we all have here !

Takase Hirose has been lecturing and warning people about Futaba active fault-line in Fukushima. Oma NPP in Aomori prefecture which is being built right now, stands on an active fault line too. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to work it out. This is nuts!
