CBS Investigative Report on the Safety of the New Reactor at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant in Spring City, WDEF, July 19, 2011
CBS News has obtained a copy of this NRC “Post Fukushima” Watts Bar report dated May 2011. We had two nuclear engineers look at the report. One gave Watts Bar a “D-” and called it “appalling.” The other cited what he called more than 40 “disturbing findings” during a 40-hour inspection, including:
– a lack of emergency responder training
– faulty control panels
– malfunctioning communications equipment
– and issues with portable backup diesel generators

Masaru Emoto invites all of us to participate in the World Peace Ceremony on the 25th of July 2011. He will be praying to heal the water in Fukushima especially, but also all around Japan and the rest of the world. Please make sure that you can dedicate a few moments to pray together for the water. Thank you!

Posted because really…what do we have left, but to PRAY.

When prayer is all you have left, sometimes prayer is all you need. Thanks for posting this Whoopie! I will definitely be praying!

23 years to build at a cost of 8 billion dollars, millions of lives at stake – and the operators get ‘a week of training’ (he said it like he was proud of it).

We are literally apes playing with the power of the Sun.
What a stupid idea that was.

Holy shit! I live about 30 minutes from there.

Since they tend to understate things, this must be really, really bad.

I believe that ‘concern’ in this context means ‘imminent holocaust’. If Arnold Gundersen is ‘concerned’ about something, I’m very worried.

I drive from KY to NC to visit family at least twice a year for the last decade.
Since Christmas, I’ve made the trip 3 more times…
during the last two
(late May-early June; late June-mid July),
on I-75 between Berea, KY and Knoxville,
I’ve felt like I’m either being burned, stung or bitten on my face, neck, arms- only on exposed skin.
It is a steady, random sensation.
Each ‘sting’ lasts less than a second, and makes me think of tiny, glowing-red ashes landing on me, flaring up, going out. Or being pricked with a superfine, red-hot needle.
Eyes burn, lips too, bitter taste in my mouth- all mild.
Leaves no marks…so far. :/
Happens the same with windows up, AC going, or rolled down, or walking around at a rest stop or whatever.
Disaster Capitalists at Oak Ridge National Lab?
It burns us.
Anybody else had this experience near Knoxville or anywhere else? Headed back to the Carolinas late August, will update then.
Thanks Gods for the intrepid folkses at Enenews for getting the word out!
