Fukushima Daiichi: The Truth and the Future
Fairewinds Energy Education
May 12, 2012

As part of a presentation in Kansai, Japan on May 12th 2012, Maggie and Arnie Gundersen of Fairewinds Energy Education answered specific questions asked by symposium organizers regarding the condition of the spent fuel pool at Fukushima Daiichi Unit 4. Fairewinds analyzes the explosion at Fukushima Daiichi Unit 3. Also, Arnie discusses what the future may hold for Japan if it chooses a path without nuclear power.

At 25:00 in

  • Radioactive noble gas clouds to the Pacific Northwest that are much worse than we ever anticipated to have been released
  • Iodine and Cesium seem to be roughly on the same level as the releases from Chernobyl
  • When we compare… the total releases at Fukushima likely higher than Chernobyl
  • The important take away here is the releases from Fukushima are at least as serious, if not more so, than Chernobyl

Does anybody know if boar, deer or similar with high radiation levels have been found yet in the US?

  • norbu norbu

    Not sure, researching now.

My dog asked me that question this morning as he's been eating
a dog food called A TASTE OF THE WILD. got buffalo, deer, salmon meal in it.
Also he loves apples too. What about all those Washington state apples?
He already had a non-cancerous tumor removed. a few weeks ago. he is going to have zeolite added to his food in small quantities.

Maybe a call to Costco up there. Encourage them to do testing? Oregon is
know for its berries. What part of downwind Chernobyl is Gundersen referring to?
Sweden and Finland got hit hard–can't eat the wild meat up there nor in Germany.
Lets get some readings from that farm in Portland that closed u;p due to radiation
concerns. Maybe it does not matter any more–is it too far gone? more coming daily!

Hi Sam, northern Germany is ok – in the south roughly 30% of boar are over the limit of 600 Bq/kg – this year the maximum found so far was over 3400 Bq.

Sam, you might want to add the zeolite to the water, or once during a daily feeding. The zeolite will glom onto whatever minerals are present in the food.

Maybe give the zeolite a couple of hours after the feeding? That way, your dog will have a chance to absorb the minerals from his/her food.

Clay is another option — and it doesn't contain as much silica.

I'd just be careful about the type of silica present in the zeolite. My opinion. Have been using clay, zeolite, etc., for several years to detox from Lyme disease. The Lyme forums have lots of discussion on this. The subject is probably covered a lot here in our forums, in case you haven't seen them. I'd just be a bit concerned about my pet becoming mineral depleted. My vet told me it's not a good idea to add the clay or zeolite directly to food unless you feed > 1 time daily.

Can do further discussion at Forum since this is OT!

When will civil lawsuits begin to be served on public officials
whose job is to monitor the environment for our safety and to
    warn us of danger.

At least the people of the Northwest and down the
West Coast could of taken cover when those deadly clouds
came and will come wafting overhead.
The authorities knew what was happening!
Obama went off to Brazil quickly! He did not vacation in Hawaii this winter.

Well one consolation; we all are fucked. including the 1% from all this. NO ESCAPE.

    • HoTaters HoTaters

Some of us did shelter indoors. It's terrible, though, the public was not warned!

Mr. Obama went on record saying there was nothing of concern happening!

      • Net

I agree "The authorities knew what was happening!
Obama went off to Brazil quickly! He did not vacation in Hawaii this winter." "Mr. Obama went on record saying there was nothing of concern happening!" Another reason not to trust. There was so little actual information given to us – we didn't take KI because the "experts" said it would do more harm and it was unnecessary. I was aware but everyone around me didn't have a clue. All I could do was say to my family was STAY OUT OF THE RAIN. It was very stressful and still is trying to live in the bay area knowing that most of our produce and homegrown foods are contaminated with radiation fallout. Even our meat – I try to get organic but what's the use. We can't move at this time so we're basically screwed. I am grateful for everyone's readings and suggestions and information on this site. Sorta comforting knowing we are all in the same boat. πŸ™ Thanks

  • Interestingly, the levels in deer have been increasing in Belarus between 2006 and 2010 (and they don't know why)- possibly Chernobyl starting up again:

"A new study at the Polessie State Radiation and Ecological Reserve in Belarus, close to the site of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, shows that animals there continue to exhibit high levels of radioactive cesium. The area was highly contaminated with cesium-137, strontium-90, and plutonium after the Chernobyl meltdown in 1986. Researchers say that cesium levels dropped between 2001 and 2005, but began to rise again between 2006 and 2010. They have not been able to determine the reason for increased levels. Animals tested included wild boar, Asian black bears, Japanese pheasants, copper pheasants, ducks, and deer."

The Nuclear Industry and Fukushima: A Giant Nail in the Coffin of Humanity

…Have you met your new Fukushima expert, who just might live right next door? These are people who have taught themselves everything they possibly could about nuclear physics, radiation, Geiger counters, atomic power, nuclear plants, the effects of radiation on health, and radiation mitigation.

These citizen scientists have studied bombs, fallout, and weather and wind patterns. They have been monitoring radiation levels across the country, with their own equipment they purchased out of pocket and learned how to use.

They have read anything and everything they can get their hands on. They know the difference between alpha, beta, and gamma radiation, and how to avoid it.

They know that besides cancer, radiation can do all kinds of things to you, like severely compromise your immune system, intelligence, and thyroid, or make you aggressive, confused, and fatigued.

You might bruise or bleed in weird places and feel sick more than usual. They have learned all this out of their own instincts of survival.

Sometimes they even go 2 days without sleep, when bad stuff is happening, just to make sure they are keeping on top of the issues as much as possible…

  • RutherfordsGhost

Yup – and most of us are logging flat out …
People need to post their background radiation levels here – they are increasing around the world.

Check out the stuff I'm taking that helped people during the Chernobyl incident:

  • Fukushima vs. Chernobyl fallout, jet streams, rad monitoring and debris tracking

There are too many Zero's in our deficits, too many zeros on radiation readings and the only liberty for knowing this is to write to eachother on forums, while the greatest crime against humanity persists expanding and proliferating our beautiful, once "Clean" planet.2012 doesn't need to be any more macabre,as this play has hit a new level Innes Scale "Infinately F__ed UP".The sad part is what can we do about it?We have collectively allowed this to happen , on our watch and what will future generations have to endure because of it.While the economists count the billions, trillions and quadrillions and the dosimetre reader realise it's "TOOOO MUCH".We have become the cancer of this planet and this is the proof,as we destroy ourselves with free will , instead of living in peace with free energy.
