Heartbreaking to think what awaits many of those children. And let’s not forget that it’s not just the children of Japan, or even just the children. That radioactive contamination is spreading worldwide. THE LIES AND COVERUP MUST BE STOPPED. That said, the lid is coming off, and Japan will never be the same after this. If there still is a Japan.

I hope there is a special place in hell for the government officials, nuke industry shills, and scientists that know the truth, and are intentionally covering the magnitude of this disaster.

Dear Nobear: And no commercial nuke stations are built to actually be safe for expected emergency conditions. There are 1000 commercial nuke stations on the planet. Many, most maybe, older than 20 years old are likely in a state of great and mainly completely unreported decline. People are not scrambling to get into that field in numbers sufficient for maintaining the bad status quos of non-transparent, incompetent commercial nuke plant operation. None of these things is insured by any private entity, all by the working citizens. Remember that billionaires are personally held indemnified due to the legal structures and gratuities given to billionaires by corporativist hegemony. Corporations have legal personhood. The little person worker does not. We pay, this is one of many ways that the overlord billionaire classes are thieving from us and it is intentional, whether or not some are or aren’t conscious of the realities of their parasitism and poisoning of the rest of us for their short-term profiteering aims.

The little ones are so incredibly cute, it’s sooooooo…… know.
But don’t you think the teacher taking the readings outside should’ve put the counter equipment in a disposable plastic bag for not contaminating the device itself?

This is exactly what I was talking about this morning..
    What about the children?
Someone has to help the children.

    Thanks alot,,Hillary

Talk about stupid…raise the limit from 1 to 20 mSv in a year.

Radiation risks from Fukushima ‘no longer negligible’
repost from aprill 11th thought it an interesting point here
“CRIIRAD notes that the amount of iodine-131 capable of delivering a dose of 10 mSv varies greatly depending on the age of consumers. Children up to two years old are the most vulnerable and ingestion of 50 becquerel (Bq) is enough to deliver to the body a dose of 10 mSv, according to the institute.

If the foods (leafy vegetables, milk etc.) contain between one and 10 Bq per kg or more, it is possible that the reference level of 10 mSv may be exceeded within two to three weeks, the institute added.

Radioactive iodine-131 values measured by the French Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) in recent days show the following, varying levels of contamination: 0,08 Bq/kg in salad, spinach and leeks in Aix-en-Provence, 0,17 Bq per litre in milk in Lourdes and 2,1 Bq per litre in goats milk in Clansayes.”

Clearly this radiation can not be contained.. so these parents need to GTFO! You don’t need to wait for the govt to evacuate you (they wont!). Don’t worry about your stuff, just GTF OUTTA THERE.

And do what? Where will they live? They can’t sell their homes, and there are no jobs. The government won’t take them in a shelter if they live outside the 30km limit. What exactly are they supposed to do?

    • RAH

There’s nowhere they can run, no place they can hide.
One of the problems with living on an island.
I am sad for the children. They deserve better than what Japan is giving them.

  • I transcribed parts of this video and posted photos along with the geiger counter reading. Could someone also clarify and tell me if it’s 3 mSv/hr that’s measured? Micro? 10.. anyone?

  • arclight arclight

i believe the reading is in micro sievert per hour… gotta wonder what the reading was before the topsoil relocation too! 🙁

    • TraderGreg

      These are very high readings.

      10 uS/hr = 87 mS/year

far above the already artificially high limit of 20 mS/year.

To make it worse – it is small kids, that are the most vulnerable.

  • jec jec

These poor children and families. Just picture what the parents will feel like if their children become ill. And unless the radiation exposure is stopped, they will. Its not a case of IF, its a case of WHEN.

  • 3 major parties join forces to draw up draft bill to remove irradiated soil

The ruling Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), the largest opposition Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), the New Komeito party and other parties have worked together to draw up a draft bill to remove radioactive substances from soil and rubble that leaked from the crippled Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Plant, …

    • arclight arclight

“If other areas outside such no-entry zones are heavily irradiated beyond government standards, they will be designated as contamination monitoring areas and local governments involved will engage in the decontamination work.

The DPJ bill had called on local governments concerned to carry out decontamination operations in principle.

If areas are feared to be inflicted with irradiated rubble and other waste that requires special management, the environment minister will designate such parts as areas with contaminated waste and the central government will decontaminate those areas.”

lrt me see if i understand the principle here!
