NYTimes: Doctors want ban on thyroid cancer screenings — “A tsunami of thyroid cancer… Stop the diagnosis… We need to actively discourage early detection” — WSJ: Judge rules nuclear reactors causing thyroid cancers — Study: Fukushima-related tumors can spread very fast, must be closely monitored

New York Times, Nov. 5, 2014 (emphasis added):  To the shock of many cancer experts, the most common cancer in South Korea… is now thyroid cancer, whose incidence has increased fifteenfold in the past two decades. “A tsunami of thyroid cancer,” as one researcher puts it… Cancer experts agree that the reason for the situation in South Korea and elsewhere is not a real increase in the disease. Instead, it is down to screening… “It’s a warning to us in the U.S. that we need to be very careful in our advocacy of screening,” said Dr. Otis W. Brawley, chief medical officer at the American Cancer Society… some doctors, including Dr. Hyeong Sik Ahn of the College of Medicine at Korea University in Seoul, the first author of the new paper, have called for thyroid cancer screening to be banned… Thyroid experts in the United States are calling for restraint in diagnosing and treating tiny tumors… Dr. R. Michael Tuttle… said the best way… was to “stop the diagnosisdecrease screening

New York Times Op-ed by H. Gilbert Welch, Nov. 5, 2014: An Epidemic of Thyroid Cancer [in South Korea]?Nowhere in the world is the rate of any cancer growing faster… Where did all those new thyroid cancers come from? They were always there. As early as 1947 [See: August 1945 atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, both ~150 miles from S. Korea] … thyroid cancer was a frequent finding during autopsies. Studies have since shown that over a third of adults have thyroid cancer… Even without a concerted effort to promote screening, thyroid cancer incidence in the United States is up threefold since 1975. To reverse this trend, we need to actively discourage early thyroid cancer detection… having doctors not look too hard for early cancer is in your interest… Too many epidemiologists concern themselves.. with hoping to find small health effects of environmental exposures — or worse, uncertain effects of minor genetic alterations.

Wall St. Journal, Oct 21, 2014: A South Korean court for the first time has ruled in favor of a plaintiff claiming… thyroid cancer was caused by radiation from six nuclear power plants located [5 miles] from her house… “She has lived within 10 km of the plants for over 20 years and has thus been exposed to radiation for a long time. Other than the radiation from the nuclear reactors, there’s no clear reason for her cancer,” the court said… [A] government-commissioned study in 2011… showed women living within 5 km of nuclear plants had 2.5 times higher incidences of thyroid cancer… [In a study of the plaintiff’s county by a] nuclear-power research institute… between July 2010 and December 2013, about 1.4%… were found to have thyroid cancer… in 2011 [women had] 114 cases out of 100,000 [0.11%].

UC San Francisco, Oct. 27, 2014: For the first time, researchers have found that exposure to radioactive iodine is associated with more aggressive forms of thyroid cancer… Lydia Zablotska, MD [said] “Our group has previously shown that exposures to [Chernobyl’s] radioactive iodine significantly increase the risk of thyroid cancer… The new study shows that radiation exposures are also associated with distinct clinical features that are more aggressive”… Zablotska said the findings have implications for those exposed to [Fukushima’s] radioactive iodine fallout... “children or adolescents to the fallout are at highest risk and should probably be screened for thyroid cancer regularly, because these cancers are aggressive, and they can spread really fast… Clinicians should be aware of the aggressiveness of radiation-associated tumors and closely monitor those at high risk.”… radioactive iodine [exposures] are associated with a whole spectrum of thyroid diseases… Thyroid cancer is ordinarily rare among children, with less than one new case per million diagnosed each year… [In the study] researchers diagnosed 158 thyroid cancers among 11,664 [13,546 per million] subjects…

    That's almost unbelievable.

You beat me to the punch. I can't believe someone with any expertise in this field would say such a thing. (1) If can't measure it, you can't control it. (2) If you can't measure it, it doesn't exist. This seems to be the South Koreans position.

    • Bones Bones

Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil. Seems they are covering all those bases apparently. WTH is wrong with these so called "doctors?" I don't care if they are being coerced; Grow a freaking backbone doctors!

      • We Not They Finally

It's a disgrace for the doctors, yes, but in the U.S. (don't know about the South Korean health system,) all they would have to do is to stop insurance-paid funding of early diagnosis tests. NIH seems to want that — their view is that cancer is "overdiagnosed" and that "we should not even call it cancer unless it is life-threatening" (= stage four)? Then the U.S. doctors might look as helpless as the South Korean ones when the screenings are not done because people can't PAY.

Capitalism — ain't it grand? Now in its late stages, it seems to trump human well-being at every turn.

I read your posts often and know that you are wise and caring person but this is an example of Fascism not Capitalism. We have a mixed economy today. This is nothing like free market capitalism which our Democratic Constitutional Republic envisioned If we had a real free market system these sorry ass doctors, insurance companies and nuke plants would have been driven out of business years ago for delivering crappy service and incompetence. Today, Capitalism has become a dirty word, in part because of propaganda and state controlled education. At the end of WWII Fascism, Communism and Socialism were all considered horrible economic systems. How things have changed. With that said I do appreciate you knowledge and comments I have learned a lot at this site. Thank you.

          • Nails in the coffin Nails in the coffin

The Germans lost WWII…and fascism won. Now its in full bloom in the US, with the thin veneer of a democratic republic that maintains the illusion. I still vote in defiance, because I feel like it still might sustain some minuscule measure of accountability, somehow. Having the illusion of a democracy is better than having neither a democracy nor it's illusion. I'm probably just kidding myself. I sometimes wonder when 'the powers that be' will decide this illusion no longer serves them. Such as when the country witnessed riot police cracking down on the courageous and peaceful "occupy" protesters. As pressures of environmental degradation increase beyond adaptation, will our society harden further into a police state or crumble into anarchy?

    • Time Is Short Time Is Short

This isn't only South Korea's position. The doctors cited in the above news articles are also speaking of eliminating thyroid testing in the United States.

      • We Not They Finally

A little extra perspective: A friend of ours got stage four thyroid cancer seemingly from out of nowhere (well, she was in Pittsburgh during Fukushima and that was one of the U.S> cities hardest hit with I-131.) So we did a little research and turns out that thyroid is only 2% of all cancers. So yes, why IS there suddenly a mass epidemic of thyroid cancers? And what will happen in the U.S.? The NIH is already lobbying for LESS testing.

        • harv33021

"What will happen in the US?" In time the lobbying effort will pay off. The stakes are high for the nuclear industry and the insurance companies. They will do the legal and prudent thing. They will simply buy off the minimum number of politicians necessary to protect them with campaign contributions. We have no friends in Washington. If history is any guide the situation will only get worse. Those calling the shots do not give a damn about us. They have proved that over and over again, yet, we act like they will change. They have a different agenda and it is unrecognizable from ours. They also control all of the "blue chips" which means we are scruuud.

  • This is also the position of the nuclear industry and a certain segment of the medical community that knows what will happen if screening continues around nuclear power plants, and after nuclear accidents.

  • earthsmith earthsmith

wow..I thought screenings and early detection was the motto for the cancer industry.
good for the person who won the court ruling…wonder where she and the judge are going to end up.
Humanoids won't be able to fill the void

    • We Not They Finally

The cancer industry doesn't really have such "mottos." What they have is PROFIT MOTIVE. If testing will make them more money, then fine. But once enough people are sick, and both testing and care will COST them more money, then suddenly the "motto" becomes the reverse.

  • Nick

    Don't test food for radiation.

    Stop screening thyroids.

What's next, stop screening breast cancer?

    Prostate cancer?

    Pancreatic cancer?

Blood tests for CFS or leukemia?

    Stop scanning brains for tumours?

    The mind baffles.

    • Time Is Short Time Is Short

The stories of the 'Death Panels' were all true, and it all got buried.

Three and a half years ago the worst that was spoken of on this site has all come true, and continues to get worse.

      • We Not They Finally

Denial of needed care was ALWAYS a kind of "death panel." This isn't new, and Obamacare is really a side issue here. It's the whole economic system getting worse.

  • Nick

How the hell are we supposed to trust any one any more?

Both of my brothers have no thyroid.

They are "glad" (relieved is more like it) that they had early screenings before their thyroids got further compromised.

Sure, the surgery and follow-up thyroxin dosing is no picnic, but they would NOT be healthy humans with their compromised thyroids.

I expect mine to act up but have a different biology (ha ha) and besides, now I can just move to South Korea and be told NOT TO WORRY, those tiny nodules on your thyroid are "normal" and we don't want to add data to a witch-hunt effort to undermine our love of all things nuclear!!

  • While I believe that early treatment can be overdone, I also believe the article is part of a systematic propaganda campaign to redefine cancerous tumors as normative (that is, as normal within healthy bodies).

The Wall Street Journal has published recently on the insurance industry's reluctance to pay for treatments of rising incidents of cancer.

Cancer rates are rising so quickly that they are being redefined as normal rather than as symptomatic of underlying health issues.

The BIAS permeating the New York Times article is dramatized in final comments:

"Too many epidemiologists concern themselves not with controlling infectious disease, but with hoping to find small health effects of environmental exposures — or worse, uncertain effects of minor genetic alterations. Perhaps they should instead monitor the more important risk to human health: epidemics of medical care."

The industry-government response to rising unhealth: denial and re-definition.

You see? I knew that we should be way more concerned about ebola than "small and "minor" factors causing cancer [sarc]. Do they actually (God forbid) WANT ebola as a distraction? I guess that people like Eric Pianka (the scientist/academician in Texas who got a standing ovation for suggesting that air-borne ebola is the most efficient way to reduce the population) actually do want that.

Some great book somewhere talked about "a time to weep." And not just about illness, but how the world is being run.

    • PlowboyGrownUp

      From majia's 3rd link above:
"In The Name of Science, Andrew Goliszek describes a classified AEC document dated April 17, 1947 titled “Medical Experiments in Humans” that reads: “It is desired that no document be released which refers to experiments with humans that might have an adverse effect on public opinion or result in legal suits. Documents covering such field work should be classified secret” (p. 126)."

You have failed in raising awareness of Fukushima and you have failed in raising awareness of real science, substituting instead, wild beliefs and fringe antinuclear and science. You remain a bit player and are only here to exercise your right to speak whatever you like. You call it "truth". Many in the real world call it "bluster". In a way you are like the man on the street with the sign "The end is near". "Studies have since shown that over a third of adults have thyroid cancer…"

We are beginning to see a pattern here, in the way the establishment intends to counter the spreading public concern over the effects of Fukushima Radiation.

Earlier this week, we heard Ken Buesseler, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Say the following concerning the lack of data on the collapse of the Pacific Ocean Ecosystem:

"Agencies are doing this in a very, I’d say [laughs] ‘limited’ way… We should be making these measurements, we owe it to everyone… If something is happening, can we attribute it to one source of contaminants or another? Without measurements we’ll never know, so the concern will always be there… We should be monitoring… whales and seals… I haven’t seen any data that suggests it’s of concern, again that’s partly because I’ve not seen a lot of data."

If we simply stop diagnosing thyroid cancer, the epidemic will go away.
If we simply stop collecting data on the plight of whales and seals in the Pacific Ocean, the affects of Fukushima radiation on the plants and animals that constitute the Pacific Ocean Ecosystem, can remain hidden from the public.
Ken knows that success in his career is dependent on selecting topics for study OTHER than the effects of Fukushima Radiation on marine…

Its a little more complicated than that. Even though Germany has decided to move from nuclear power, they will indirectly still be dependent on energy from their neighbors. Germany will still have a viable research and development program in their universities and at Karlsruhe. Germany will still have research and test reactors to operate.

This is what you do not see in the news. Germany will still have to deal with high level waste when countries like Korea are actively engaged in working the kinks out of pyroprocessing.

@ alan reid, before this I thought you were level headed, and I had respect for what you offered here at enenews. Maybe after you read the down on page 2 and hopefully realize the conduct of stock, in his attempt to conceal the info regarding cancer cures in the links I provided, is the work of the devil. Hopefully you will draw your conclusion without bias. Hopefully you are not in cahoots with stock, vannev, and other useful idiots here at enenews and here to spread disinfo regarding certain issues involving Fuku and TPTB's other agendas.

Oh, by the way, I have never posted anything here at enenews nor any where else that would suggest that I am the voice of god nor connected in any way. stock took a cheap shot that has absolutely no substance. This is because of differences that took place in August or early September. I have not posted at enenews since that time frame and now with my first post as of late he jumped on the first post like he has been waiting for a long time to get over on me. Read further and it is only too obvious that he(and vannev, and maybe you too alan read) has been laying in wait, like an ambush. Who knows, maybe you too jumped on the bandwagon on page 2. If you did, with bad intent, then this post is a waste of my time as you would be doing the devils work also. I'm hoping that my first thoughts about you were correct and we can work toward the same goals.

I might add that stocks/vannevs behavior here is that of a coward and or snake.

I should point out that when I made the post above that started with "Up you'res stock", that this post was made in reply to 2 different posts by stock. Mainly because of the shit he posted on page 2. To understand where I was coming from the reader must first read stock's shit on page 2.

@vannev, stfu, it is only too obvious that you are the biggest shill at this sight, well maybe not the biggest, that's debateable, you are the most obvious of the entrenched shills here at enenews. People like the voice of god serve to provide cover for you and the other entrenched shills that try and remain hidden. You support each others lies, gang up on those that seek out and or post the truths that you are paid to conceal. When some barney5 mofo or other jo blow flaming shill comes along you can act like you are sincere by arguing with, (what is in reality, your fellow team members) these flaming shills that are paid by the same psychopaths that you work for.

You are very sloppy and a disgrace to the other shills, if that is even possible. Who knows, may be that is by design. Either way, you are the devils spawn and one can only hope that you are held to account for your actions. Realize that you are cannon fodder and or only a tool and when they are done with you, you will be thrown away like the garbage that you are. There is no one to blame but yourself for not taking advantage of your situation fully. You have the means to communicate something to the outside world but all they see here is doom, gloom, conspiracy, and unscientific hearsay and conjecture. Enenews could be much much more but some people have dragged the site down to only the fringe element is accepted and everyone else scoffed and rebuffed. Its pretty sad, because Japan is getting ready to restart reactors and where is the influence of Enenews? It is no where to be found. And the bloggers here are just talking among themselves, with no clear action or plan to communicate their ideas. They just want it one way, and that way didnt prevent Japan from returning to nuclear power. Its pretty sad.

The human race has many achievements to celebrate such as the design of the wheel, development of agriculture, discovery of antibiotics, manned space flight, and many others. We speak endlessly of our accomplishments. Less often spoken about are the greatest miscalculations and mistakes made by humans over the ages. Little things like disregard for sanitation killed millions in the past. Another of mankind’s mistakes is to limit the role of women and to a certain extent children in our society. How about pouring billions into armaments and warfare while starvation and disease run rampant? Surely, this was and is a colossal mistake. But the biggest mistake ever made by any life form, that we know of, is the development of nuclear technology both weapons and power plants. Now you can begin to understand why the US government is so reluctant to discuss the repercussions of Fukushima or Chernobyl. If you had made the biggest mistake in all of human history, would you want a loud and vocal debate about it? I think not.

It is too easy to get the approval of the sheeple. Let them own a personal stake in the industry by allowing the public offering of shares of stock. Wasn't it GWB that proposed to use our social security funds to expand the fraudulent and corrupt market system?

We currently live in the era of "ILL GOTTEN GAINS". The healthcare system is the largest of the gainers.

Solution= Send all healthcare workers home and use minimum wage labor to care for the sick and dying. Provide a clean and comfortable room to those disabled and serve them three square meals a day until they're well enough to go home. Stop doing NAZI experiments on us good people out here.

Diabetes has reached epidemic proportions. I can't go on in this fashion as it only makes me sick.

hbjon, you may mean well, but you walked right into that one! What you described as "care" is really called "custodial care" — not doing anything, just waiting for people to get more sick and die.

WNTF, I am fully capable and willing to defend and stand by my comments when time allows. Sometimes I'm just too busy, busy, busy to rebut.

What I meant to convey was my conviction in the idea that one can heal on ones own if given the opportunity without heroic medicine intervening. I believe that plenty of rest, nutrition, cleanliness, and clean water play important roles in the healing process.

Healing becomes difficult for those who contaminate their selves with radiation, toxins, or traumatic drug that change the natural healing process.

There are very high powered attorneys that defend their industries by all means and healthcare is no different. Do you really think that Doctors can heal?

Here's an idea that just popped in my noodle. There is a big difference between being willing to help me and being able to help me. When you lie and tell someone you are able to help them and it turns out they die. What then?

Again, I point out my daughter, exposed to Chernobyl radiation, whose 'teen years' exposure likely caused HER thyroid cancer. Of course, her doctor in the USA..just ignored her complaints as she got sick, tired and gained tremendous amount of weight. No tests were done until got until the tumor stuck out and she was close to Stage 4. The tumor was outside the thyroid and showed up in scans in her lungs. Surgery left her throat damaged, voice weak, swollow weak, and parathyroids damaged. She can not control her calcium levels in her body..likely this will affect her bones in later years. She is supposted to have scans and radiation every three years, but OBAMACARE says shes 'in remission' and only needs it five years as the test and radiation are expensive. She can not control her weight, and the thyroid medications she is on, work poorly, she is tired and feels ill most of the time . She has blood tests every few months..and has been facing this for close to 10 years as a young woman.
So I guess she is a good example of NOT testing for thyroid disease..cancer outside the gland, lots of scans, lots of meds, lots of hospital visits/surgery, lots of followups, pain/illness..AND this is what the doctors want? Guess they really want the patients to be terminal due to thyroid cancer so they can save money and just offer pallative care or 'hurry up and die' pain management.

    • Shaker1

Thank you, jec, for pointing out the consequences of thyroid problems. The thyroid is not some useless internal part like an appendix. A damaged, compromised thyroid has multiple manifestations, even to what seemed before the problems to normal brain function. I've female friends who seem much more affected than males who might have the same problems. But all the more for the drug industry, huh?

We're not paying attention and thinking too little of what's really happening to us, often through just plain bigotry. Dialysis is growing exponentially, and not all liver transplants are given to old rockers whose history is steeped in drugs and alcohol.

With Federally funded medical care the system can be controlled and all the reporting factors manipulated. Not to speak of your case file being available to number crunchers and bean counters which includes just about everyone.

I have said before that mainstream medicine is a percentage game with only the largest percentages of value to medical administrations. The anomalies are a nuisance like rising thyroid cases. It is not the increasing cases that is the worry, per se, it is the cause and that cause is directly from nuke power generation. Bad for nuke business it is.

As I have pointed out before, don't report medical findings, change the diagnosis, refuse to test for conditions, etc., there are many ways to sweep conditions under the rug including jail time. Apparently healing is not part of the goal.

Obamacare isn't about health, it's about CONTROL

That's no conspiracy theory. Think about it – everyone gets sick and eventually has health problems. And – like taking over the public schools, where they control the "education" of your kids – what better way for social engineers and progressivists to exert control over your life than to control your healthcare?

There is more to consider along these lines – that really, all Obamacare is about is government control over you.

This is what thyroid cancer looks like:

    Perfectly harmless?
    Damn straight! 😉
(Except for the public hysteria, of course.)

Caused by nuclear energy industry, and by Iodine131.

Question: How does Iodine131 get into Tokyo sewage sludge?
    Answer: From Fukushima Diiachi.

Question: How will the entire population of Tokyo get thyroid cancer?
Answer: by drinking water and eating food that contains Iodine131.
Japanese school children are being taught that everyone gets cancer.
This is a normal part of living.

Who made the sun, the stars, and Oklo? Who designed every element and every isotope known to man? Plutonium IS a natural element in the ground and in the air when uranium is released in coal burning. Where you find uranium you will find fission products.

'International Team Studied Children and Teens Exposed After Chernobyl'

"For the first time, researchers have found that exposure to radioactive iodine is associated with more aggressive forms of thyroid cancer, according to a careful study of nearly 12,000 people in Belarus who were exposed when they were children or adolescents to fallout from the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.

Researchers examined thyroid cancers diagnosed up to two decades after the Chernobyl accident and found that higher thyroid radiation doses estimated from measurements taken shortly after the accident were associated with more aggressive tumor features."

Some time in the (not too distant) future:

The International Body of Nuclear Experts (or IBONE) has released
a new set of guidelines for cancer screening:

After a series of over-priced stints at a Four Star Hotel, IBONE crafted the following:

    1. Cancer has been discovered to affect every organ of the body.

    2. Cancer is a normal bodily function and is a boon for the pink dye industry who sell the nauseating pink athletic apparel worn by over-paid athletes to gloss over the CAUSE of cancer in the first place.

    3. Cancer is a huge job creator so don't complain if you just happen to have it.

  • Nick

“I think it is an oversimplification to say the increase in diagnosis is from the overuse of technology and only relates to small tumors that are insignificant,” said Dr. Steven Sherman, medical director of the endocrine center at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. “There is a component that relates to increased technology, but until we can do a better job at predicting the outcomes for individuals who develop cancer we still need to treat each case.”

So, all of this increase is due to "better" diagnosis?

I'm currently in the process of getting a needle biopsy after a cyst over 1 cm in size was found on my thyroid. I am a double cancer survivor in the last 2 years and find it hard not to immediately gravitate to finding our what exactly is going on. My thyroid is functioning and my hormone levels are in range, but if the FNA comes back as cancer, I will be left with a tough decision. I've not been immediately exposed to fallout or live anywhere need a nuclear power plant. Detection and screening for those in the vicinity of a nuclear generating station or nuclear accident such as Fukushima should be actively monitored due to the likelihood of developing such cancers.

@ whatcanido, at the bottom of this thread on page 2(as of 10:32 AM Eastern time) I posted some links that have very good info and cures for cancer and related diseases. Info that also describes how bad chemo and radiation is. This is the info that everyone needs or will need soon enough.

      • itsanuclearwar

To all the readers, the post on page 2 that stock pulled his shit, is the post that refers to this one. This is where I spent quite a few hours gathering and viewing this info, for my benefit and the benefit of others in particular and everyone in general. All of my actions have been in good faith, unlike some others here at enenews.
The government and TPTB do not want you to have this info. That is one reason their useful idiots attack and try and discredit me. You may not agree with me on issues that are discussed here, but with these links I am just the messenger. Judge for yourself the messages contained in the links. This concerns your health, there is much needed info in the links. I believe this troll is using 2 strategies….
          1) attack people on this site. Some will be just disgusted and leave, others just don't like confrontation and will leave. Some site participants, esp new ones will distrust the honest good work of the likes of Anne et al.

          2) Distract from the real issue. The real issue IS NOT how to mitigate cancer, the real issue is stopping production of radiation and heavy metals and dispersing them around the earth.

It is clear now that ENE has been infected with multiple trolls and trobots, all with slightly different strategies.

I believe that this will play out eventually as a series of class action lawsuits against nuclear interests. This could in fact be the tipping point.

Too bad it will affect everybody, them included.

Unless they can 'create' radiation-resistant babies, the human race has run out of steam.

Not only are large amounts of people going to get rad-sick, fairly quickly men will all be 'shooting blanks', or shooting DNA-defective sperm. The human race will devolve into a race of mutants unable to reproduce, and far before that happens all medical care will collapse.

Are there ET's that have been hybridized or "appear" human[?]! I'm not resigned to the idea but their track records & inhuman peculiarities makes such a notion more believable with every passing day and examples of "questionable" acts, orders & statements made by TPTB like this one coming from an organization like the ACS is sickeningly sad & really hard to swallow personally since I'd felt indebted to them for helping us to expedite my wife's medicare/medicaid health insurance when she was diagnosed with her superfast, aggressive Inflammatory Breast Cancer[?]! 🙁 I read this shit now that if true, leaves me regretting ever asking for or accepting help from their organization??!! Best I can come up with is inbred psychopaths and or transhumanism, maybe inbred psychopathic transhumenoids, which all leads to international banking scumbags that own everything under the sun, almost. Although they do own us, we are not totally under their control and we have guns. As such, we are still a threat to their new world order. That is why fuku was done by design. America is under attack, and on many fronts, and most are clueless. That is why all the shills here at enenews. Trying to conceal that we are under attack, the nuclear attack. The best place to stage this is Japan, can't see it from here. This was planned many years ago, probably before Eisenhower. Americans role in regards to the global picture has been consumers and the international police force. This is being phased out and so are we. The only thing that keeps them in line at all is armed America. Guns are not much help though when you have a sick and disabled radiated population of old baby boomers, and for the most part, totally brainwashed.

This is the stuff that stock, vannev and many more do not want to be exposed and why I AM SO LIKED HERE AT ENEWS(SARC) That and because I exposed the shills by name, pissed them off big time. This place is crawling with them, some are slicker than others, or in reality, slimier.

Areas that the shills lie about is the fact that HAARP caused Fuku, done by design, and that the chemtrails are used with HAARP and Gwen towers to own the weather. The atmosphere due to all the chemtrails is now a plasma state. As a plasma much can be done with electromagnetism and such. Planet earth is now a weapon, physically and mentally. This is nothing new. A link to a site with the history of weather control. Don't expect the shills here to even acknowledge this info nor the site. According to them, none of this info/evidence even exists. That way they can gang up and spread more dis info and attack the messenger rather than the message.

                  The History of Weather Control

                  Begins with:

                  "January 3, 1887

Reroute warm ocean currents to melt the polar icecaps!"

Here we are, in the 21st century, and many people still believe there is no weather control going on. The fact is, they totally own the weather, can create earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, and tsunamis, and much more. It is a brave new world.

Also Sr90 based Celestite 'Ice' Who knows how many Bucky ball cage molecules, clutching nasty U, PU, etc. will be nested in each particulate.

The author's position in the NYT's op-ed is based upon a false dichotomy. On his account, either you screen early, find early cancers, and then aggressively treat the "majority" of them by removing the thyroid OR you simply don't look, don't find them, and thus leave people's thyroids alone with no idea whether there might be a cancer in there.

This is fallacious logic, since there is a third option. They can screen people and identify very early cancers, but, instead of immediately removing the thyroid, they can instead continue to monitor those patients regularly. If the cancer begins to show signs of developing to an extent that it could pose a problem, it can then be dealt with in a more timely manner, before it gets a chance to grow into an even bigger and more dangerous problem.

I don't see how NOT looking AT ALL (and thus allowing a cancer to potentially grow and even spread in secret for years) is better than screening early and continuing to monitor if a cancer deemed too small to pose a threat in the near term is found. Dr. Welch is basically claiming that ignorance (on the part of both doctor and patient) is better than informed restraint and watchfulness.

One would think a professor of medicine would be able to write an essay that is not built upon a logical fallacy that any first-year writing student ought to learn to avoid in freshman comp.

The insurance companies have made an art of selling you "health insurance" that denies you the care when you need it.

The problem is not scanning or diagnosis, but determining the best treatment for what is found. Before any tumor is removed or aggressively treated, it should be determined if it malignant or benign. A benign or pre-cancerous tumor should simply be watched for any sudden activity level before it is addressed with aggressive therapy.

Cancer treatment these days is responsible for more than half the deaths related to cancer. All too often doctors use treatments such as chemo that destroy the immune system, which leads to death by infections that wouldn't normally be an issue in a healthy person.

The correction needed is not a reduction in diagnosis, but a change in the approach to treatment.

  • MochiMadness

Although it seems like it at first blush, I don't believe that this is what the article is stating. What Dr. Brawley's stance on this is–is that we overdiagnose in this country. And yes. It skews the data. NOT because we want to "avoid" admitting there is a problem. The problem arises when benign tumors or slow growing tumors are diagnosed and the patient AND the practitioner go bat-shit crazy (and they do) on highly aggressive (and sometimes lethal) treatments that have little to no evidence of being "more effective" than standard, more conservative treatment…like waiting and watching (as they do ofttimes for prostate cancer. it's slow growing). Here is an article that Dr. Brawley penned in 2012,being very clear on why he feels this way.

That said–do I think that thyroid abnormalities should not be reported until they are full on malignant tumors with mets? Absolutely not. But they are CORRECT that screening makes the apparent incidence skyrocket. Because they are including all data sets. Screening is a wonderful thing for some patients, as it can catch very fast growing tumors in time. But it also "catches" slow growing or benign tumors, which can be as harmful to the patients as a lethal form of cancer can be.

People usually go to the doctor when they do not feel well, sudden lack of energy, emotional swings, sudden weight gain etc. since they sense something is wrong with them.

The only known verified/provable cause of the current increased thyroid damage and cancer we see now here in the USA and then worldwide is Manmade Radiation Contamination. 🙁

TEPCO the Japanese nuclear power company continues to lie to the people of Japan and to the world about the true levels of radiation released into the atmosphere, ground and into the Pacific Ocean! TEPCO also continues to dump millions of gallons of radioactive waste into the Pacific Ocean nonstop every single day to contaminate the plant life, insects, fish, ocean life and animals. There is now verified proof of DNA damage and mutations throughout the food chain and we humans are next to suffer! and if we don't detox our bodies suffer we will! Experts recommend to commence detoxing with the natural mineral called zeolite that is proven to safely remove both radiation and heavy metals from the human body. This detox is VERY important to help prevent DNA damage that will cause disease and future ongoing mutations! For more quality information do an online search for the single word Zeolite.

And I wish to kick all MDs and DOs in the arse for using surgery, radiation, and Chemo which costs a fortune and gives only 1% of patients a few months more to live.

Now, has anyone heard of the cheapest method to cure most Cancers. Try Arm & Hammer baking soda. Read PH Kills Cancer or on youtube, also rub 5% iodine for skin cancer. Did your wonderful doctor tell you- that all your problems are from eating sugar, PERIOD! (Meaning not the natural kind such as from apples or fruit, etc.) Did he???? H%ll no! No money in that!!!

The well-meaning people at the food bank got a "treat" for me: California seaweed. I turned it down one week. The next week someone asked if I had tried it. I had to tell them that I turn down everything from the Pacific including seaweed because it is too radioactive. the poor woman looked just sick. I told her that I don't have a Geiger counter, but radiation concentrates in seaweed. And I'm restricting my seaweed to the Atlantic. Of course, that is radioactive also, just hopefully less radioactive than Pacific seaweed.

"I had to tell them that I turn down everything from the Pacific including seaweed because it is too radioactive. the poor woman looked just sick." That's sad, but what can you do.."

Last year a friend invited me to lunch; it turned out to be at a Japanese restaurant; menu only had seafood. Not wishing to offend, I ate; I prayed while doing so. The next time, I ate very little.

Angela, so now you respond with an ad homina attack when people are trying to save lives? I haven't read every single post on this website and I doubt anyone else has. You like to quote the Bible, why I really don't know. Haven't you ever heard of being your brother's keeper? This most often refers to not drinking because there are others who become alcoholics. Surely, you have also heard: God helps those who help themselves. If someone knows that eating Pacific seafood will bring death on a person, praying for God to save you while letting your "friend" die of the radiation is hardly harkening to the truth.

          • Angela_R

"Angela, so now you respond with an ad homina attack when people are trying to save lives?"

Pardon? Where is the ad homina attack?

As I stated i had previously addressed the issues with the parties i was lunching with, I do not think they would have appreciated my raising the matter again. Though on Tuesday i sought to address the general subject of radiation.

"Haven't you ever heard of being your brother's keeper?"
No, my brother has his rights to his own determinations.

" If someone knows that eating Pacific seafood will bring death on a person, praying for God to save you while letting your "friend" die of the radiation is hardly harkening to the truth."

No Vanne, I don't have a absolutist belief that ALL pacific seafood will kill, I DO have a FEAR that it might.
I live in the South Pacific, and that is where the restaurant is situated. Their seafood was likely sourced from the local area. However I prayed to God to overcome my fear that it may not have been.

My understanding of the world is that all animal based foods are 20 times more radioactive than plant based food. Do you really think that the elevated rates of melanoma in Australia are caused solely by the sun? Uraniium testing and mining are also lethal. And the South Pacific also receives receives radioactivity from rain and the ocean from the Northern Hemisphere.

Who knows where they are dumping nuclear waste these days, and mining uranium and extracting the 1% or less of uranium from the mined earth puts chemicals and radon and uranium dust in fine particles which leach into the ocean , i.e. , the South Pacific, and the fine particles join the rain and are breathed in by everyone on the earth.

                • Angela_R

Don't know how many times but I think you would be right re the radioactive progression up the chain would be more of concern.

"Do you really think that the elevated rates of melanoma in Australia are caused solely by the sun?" No. The ionizing rays from nuclear tests and emissions are also in our atmosphere. But I think we have less shielding from the sun's rays here. However, that may be changing everywhere.

I've just written a long note to a relative re the dangers of radioactivity. We don't have the emissions from reactors here in Australia, though the fallout from old tests would still have an effect. The concentration of uranium provided for nuclear is far and away more concentrated that what would ever be found naturally.

It is in the nuclear process where the splitting of the nucleus, (and I will try to always refer to it as such, your point was well made) occurs, separating the isotopes, then bombardsing them, dividing them, sometimes again and again.
Personally I cannot conceive how the waste could ever be referred to as uranium. The core, the heart of the element AND the individual isotopes, have been altered; 'all the kings horses and all the kings men will never put that uranium together again.'

                  • Angela_R

Underground mining puts one in a confined space with dust and gas. (Currently there is concern re coal dust traveling via train in open hoppers.)

The uranium dust though, is still uranium ore, it is not even separated into uranium until the enrichment process, which, to my knowledge, is not done in Australia.

No radioactive isotope has been separated, nor has it been split by neutrons until processed in the nuclear reactor. Also I believe the radioactive charge is tempered when together with its 'siblings'; the element is also still whole.

I have sought to reacquaint myself with uranium mining, though I have never been to a mine, and also tried to mentally revisit the nuclear process.

btw. I never chose to study Science, neither did my parents choose it for me

    • Angela_R

I suspect a lot more is known than we have grasped. Many leading scientists, politicians, religious leaders etc. are having input into a global initiative. The following paragraphs are somewhat transparent; I note two of the difficulties confronting mankind and mentioned constantly on ENENEWS, i.e. radiation and lack of oxygen, are included in the paragraph below.

"The new human being will receive a huge range of abilities and will be capable of withstanding extreme external conditions easily: high temperatures, pressure, radiation, lack of oxygen, etc. Using a neural-interface humans will be able to operate several bodies of various forms and sizes remotely."

"Modern civilization, with its space stations, nuclear submarines, iPhones and Segways cannot save mankind from the limitations in the physical abilities of our bodies, nor from diseases and death."

I personally believe that the above paragraphs indicate, that this concept is partially driven by the urgent awareness that our biological form may not cope with the crises already perceived.

But, as I see it, yet again man is proceeding contrary to nature.

"Sounds to me that they have lost their minds."

          Perhaps I mistakenly interpret, however
they appear to think they need to intervene. They seek to produce an artificial container to house the mind, the personality, 'the Being of the I'. Maybe, this for those whose health is failing, though from the paragraphs quoted in my post, they are aware of the huge problems confronting the earth.

I don't know whether you can comprehend the following:
"All these observation lead to the understanding of what is called the wave-particle duality. This principle states that energy or an energy wave has both a wave nature and a particle nature and particles, with or without a mass, also have a wave nature and a particle nature and it only depends on the environment condition as to which is observed. Another way of saying this is that how we choose to observe the energy will determined if it expresses itself as a wave or a particle."

My understanding of this leads me to see that maybe science now knows that our energy could exist without material form. But until they learn how, they seek the medium of a robot body.

However, while I expect a large number of enthusiasts have no nefarious motive, there are those who have used experimental processes on innocent people. The hit and miss, the disregard, the easily dismissed collateral damage, the blatant lies have done nothing to instil trust.

          • They have been experimenting with microwave based control systems for some time, but terrestrial broadcasting in the vhf and uhf frequency bands were blocking the spread. Man is ready to split with the atoms for peace meme…

Only problem with your "moving forward" painting, voice of the deceiver…is that there is a wall in front of us , and someone think's he has a right to force a denial upon humanity that it will be an unpleasant way coming to a halt… just because they got a gain on the wheel by lying about being a good driver that know's what's best for the passenger's..
Does not make it true , nor does it give's you the right to continue holding us hostage of your madness..
The only right to kill you have..is yourself..

lol, I was gonna reply to yours and I canceled.

                    Her's what I had…

Awesome DID, but too copmlicated for a select few.

                    I'll simplify it.

Oh, the wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round.
Oh, the wheels on the bus go round and round, now they've fallen off…

Vox, if your Nuclear genie is allowed free reign over the surface of this planet, then we out here are all screwed forever.. 🙁

Tepco Reports Second Deadly Radiation Reading at Fukushima Nuclear Plant

The utility known as Tepco said yesterday it detected 5 sieverts of radiation per hour in the No. 1 reactor building. On Aug. 1 in another area it recorded radiation of 10 sieverts per hour, enough to kill a person “within a few weeks” after a single exposure, according to the World Nuclear Association.

Notice how they show a stock chart instead…

What are the readings now, my friend?

Is it five hundred or a thousand times more?

          • Jebus Jebus

Here's how high it was last year…

TV: Highest ever radiation levels detected outside reactor buildings at Fukushima — People exposed to it would die in 20 minutes (VIDEO)

Asahi Shimbun, Dec. 7, 2013: Record outdoor radiation level detected at Fukushima plant — [Tepco] said Dec. 6 it detected the highest estimated radiation level for an outdoor location at the crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant. The reading of 25 sieverts per hour was taken on steel piping near an exhaust stack for the No. 1 and No. 2 reactors, TEPCO said. […] A TEPCO official said radioactive materials derived from melted fuel likely entered the piping during venting soon after the accident […]

            What is it now Ron?

Use your pathetic pagan physics training on that.

Remember, the flux is a sphere…

            A sphere of influence.

TEPCO said the highest radiation level was detected near reactor 1. Previous measurements showed tritium levels at 3800 becquerels per liter near reactor 1, and 2600 becquerels per liter near reactor 2. The concentration of tritium in the harbor’s seawater has been continuously rising since May, according to Nikkei.

If it was a coincidence, they would make a mistake in our favor sometimes. None Dare Call It Conspiracy.
