      He is using it in this sense to scare the citizens, to further an agenda of of the military industrial complex and to further erode individual liberties in the name of "safety". ALA TSA security theatre.

      We already have the biggest dirty bomb of all time and still ongoing so why worry about a few more pounds when we have thousands of tonnes killing off inhabitants of the earth !
      On and there is all the nukes in Iraq floating around !

    Oh..and do the nuclear plants sprinkled in the hundreds about N. America..do they have a handful of this toxic material? Its a True or False question, simple YES or NO.

      Hey, I can make fun of the guy because I voted for him. *;-) Not much choice though in 2008…a meth head dog catcher could have beaten the Republicans.

      I think None of the Above looks pretty good to me in 2012. I will vote…but not for Mutt or BHO.

      Still…the Green Party candidate looks interesting…wow how great would that be to build an American Green Party as strong as the Germans!

      Spare me Roseanne Barr though…her 1990 crack-head blowup at the ballpark makes her about as popular as Hanoi Jane among older voters. But Jill Stein…I can go for that!

    Good that Obama speaks out this way, it cannot be dismissed.

    Another thing:

    A nuclear weapon that wasn’t supposed to exist, a single 500 kiloton hydrogen bomb, one of four being tracked, was seen being loaded at the German port of Bemerhaven, Germany.     RT is the former Soviet Union with its agenda unchanged. This is half the truth only… the other half is that they are doing the same thing. The total picture is indeed very bad and tragic. It seems there is nothing that can be done to improve our world situation at this point and that we are all doomed, but it would be nice not to further speed that up don't you think?…

      Now if a few guys can fly into a plant so easily, then perhaps the President should reexamine the logic in allowing our nuke plants to keep operating with over-crowded, soon-to-be-full spent fuel pools sitting in the reactor buildings with nothing but a bit of concrete and metal protecting them from an attack that could render our planet uninhabitable.

      And yet, he is pushing for more nuke plant development and small modular nukes? What about doing the responsible thing first and cleaning up the mess the nuclear cabal has created, which our poor children and future generations are being forced to inherit, and pay for???

      Where is the justice, fairness and sanity in that???

      Please, for your children's sakes and all our children's sakes, Mr. President, search your conscience carefully, and put an END to this insanity.

    US would go to Middle East to 'help' the situation over there but not Japan ;) Japan has always been a good for nuclear testing with real people in it.

    Dr Caldicott said that Obama wrote a couple of papers on nukes when he was a student so he must know about it a little bit.

    Even the nuclear power plant workers at Pilgrim in Massachusetts realize how bad the situation is at U.S. nuclear power plants. They are itching to go on strike to protest better working conditions:

    Obama does not care about any of our concerns. He is just out whoring for the military industrial complex. Getting the "ducks" lined up for the eventual hostilities in Iran, North Korea and anyone else that needs our guidance.

    What a sick joke to be touting the dangers of nuclear materials while at the same time shutting down the EPA from measuring radiation.

    I wonder why the EPA has not checked the blueberry preservs coming in from Poland? Do the Europeans monitor their radiation food safety limits. Probably not. They probably set them too high.

      This is how governments have deceived the public about food safety radiation levels worldwide.

      They first release an article like this one. I am using the EU as an example here.
