SOURCE: Strontium is found but does not change the support!, Blog of City Councilor Furuya Yasuhiko, October 12, 2011

Translation via Fukushima Diary

John Kuramochi, Yokohama city government’s section chief in charge of monitoring contamination:

“We already knew that we find strontium where there is cesium.so we don’t really do anything special for strontium.”

“I heard they found strontium at 2,200 different locations in Fukushima, so it’s not surprising to find it in Yokohama.”

Exactly! But what is it covering? Is it good compared to what is next and they are breaking us in slowly?? or is it look here cos we don’t want you to know whats over there? Lets face it…. the situation is far worse than they (TEPCO,GOV’s,etc) would have us believe and even the experts are stumped it would seem! No one on this planet really knows how bad this could get! When will the true depth of this disaster come to light? My guess…..thousands upon thousands of years :(

Perhaps there might be some intelligent cockroach’s around by then? At least they may be able to learn from us… corrupt greed, money and corporate rulers filling there pockets with the destruction of humanity and our mother earth! lives for the dollar may not be a good idea or for the well being of our planet! Greedy elitists will loose, guaranteed!

Not surprising that Strontium is all over Japan…

It blew here to Hawaii which is now found in our milk….

what do people think of fukushima fallout in Hawaii?

No body seems to be aware , really.

A few signs up in the grocery stores in Mar- Apr. that there was strontium in the milk, but that levels were beneath the levels designated as dangerous..

we drink Mainland milk.. probably 2 to 3 gallons a week… What can we do ? it’s going to be everywhere and in everything … can’t quit eating , Right ?

This is why it isn’t reported.. it’s no where near the provisional limits, and nobody cares…

          Aloha Cindy,
my name is Hanaloa and Iʻm from Hawai`i too (Honolulu). Mahalo for your posts. Would you be able to shed some light for me on what the actual provisional limits are. Iʻm assuming the strontium data comes from the EPA because no one else that I know of is doing radionuclide-specific testing here (it seems that State Dep of Health and every other gov. agency defers to EPA for radiological testing).

The EPA site is very confusing to me, and although I can find some data, itʻs very difficult for me to put it into proper perspective. The last samples for strontium that I can find are from 4/4/11:

          http://oaspub.epa.gov/enviro/erams_query_v2.simple_output?Llocation=State&subloc=HI&media=PASTEURIZED+MILK&radi=Strontium-90&Fromyear=2010&Toyear=2011&units=Traditional

The results for two Strontium-90 samples from Hilo, HI on 4/4/11 are 1.1 and .45 pCi/L. The MDCs respectively are 5.3 and 1.8–so both samples fall below their so-called MDC (minimal detectable concentration)…so what does that mean?! and the location average (which is not calculated by EPA att) far exceeds overall average given…??!!

Anyway, any help will be greatly appreciated! By the way, hoping to acquire radiation detection equipment (geiger counter, dosimeter, specific radionuclide detector, etc.) so if you know anyone who has or can direct me to resources, Iʻd be grateful. Thanks again.

          Me ka `oia`i`o,
          Hanaloa

    Japan is already a WASTELAND!

It just isn’t official yet. Wonder what humans there will look like in about 300 years? Will they have fingers growing out of their shoulders like the earlier article suggests. I guess it will be easier to pat yourself on the back. Oh well.

Japan’s disaster is starting to get boring.

Arnie Gundersen suggests there will be other “nation” hot spots.

      So, Who’s Next?

Let’s get the show on the road already.

        Really, Truly, Mr Darth!
Korea is quiet about the wind-shift which
will bring the onslaught of chemistry upon them.
        And Big China.
…and as for the Deformations and Mutations,
my old Uncle Bill had a gruff little saying he
        would repeat upon occasion:
“You’re gonna Look purty Funny, Wearin’ yer

        Good ol’ Uncle Bill….

          Howdy all!

And a great good morning to you!!

Well, here is a new video of another walk in the garden.:

          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UX6Rdz4wQ8&feature=channel_video_title

It is looking more and more like this is the normal level of radiation around this area. What is saddening is it is real and it is here. It would be nice to know exactly what it is, and if there are amounts of Strontium here also. Best guess is there is.

What has been noticed is it seems to be getting worse as each day passes. Seeing the levels in japan go up, we can only be sure that the levels of radiation will go up world wide. Someone on the u-tube channel commented and said he was getting the same readings in Oregon. Not good, and we all can be sure these readings will continue to rise.

Please chime in with your reports and share your thoughts.

I talked a lot about Fuku today at one of my Dr’s offices,…where one of his patients (zombies) was throwing up in a pretty little pink hospital bucket,…..and I swear,…they are going to 51/50 me!
Yesterday,…I got laughed at in a crowd of people when I brought it up. A few of them said, “She thinks she knows radiation,…what, do you think you’re a Radiologist or something?”

Darn it,….and I was going to stop talking about it! My mouth and heart have a different idea I guess.

Well, don’t take it too personal.
Most folks don’t want to believe that an accident thousands of miles away could affect them. So to save their own piece of mind, milk drinkers and seafood lovers, they scoff at the idea they may be eating contaminated food.
It’s like the aspartame thing. Someone drinking 2 liters of diet whatever soda can’t fathom it may be killing them.
Let them go, and save your self.

If strontium is found in so many places (and at such distances), what are the odds that plutonium is there too?

I wish we could know for certain whether any of these other isotopes reached the U.S., and if they did, in what quantities and how far inland did they reach?

But of course our government officials want to protect the nuclear industry, not the people.

195 becquerels/kg of strontium-90 has been detected from the sample that had over 63,000 becquerels/kg of radioactive cesium. Both samples were taken from the same rooftop of an apartment building in Kohoku-ku in Yokohama City.
