Alaska Dispatch News, Aug 13, 2015 (emphasis added): Warm water killing fish in Mat-Su and Anchorage… killing salmon in the Matanuska and Susitna valleys… Arctic char… have also gone belly up… “It will have some impact but in the long term for species that return multiple age classes, I wouldn’t characterize it as a disaster,” said Mike Bethe, Mat-Su area manager for the Habitat Division of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game… dead salmon have been found near the [Knik River's] weir… Dead fish have been turning up in other Mat-Su streams…

Juneau Empire, Aug 7, 2015: Herring mystery… dead baby herring in the algae-filled empty squares of the Statter Harbor breakwater. “It’s hard to know why, but there’s a lot of them,” Juneau-based marine ecologist Michelle Ridgway] said. “It’s fairly dramatic.”

KUCB, Aug 17, 2015: Dead herring… on Unalaska shorelines… “Hundreds of herring floating in the water,” Caleb Livingston [said] “But what really got my attention was the few that drifted on the beach were not being eaten by the eagles, or seagulls or terns.” Scientists have been receiving reports of dead and dying whales, birds and the small fish… “Their fins are deteriorated while their eyes are intact,” [Melissa Good, Univ. of Alaska Fairbanks] said. “I think it’s probably bait fish that got dumped.” Even so, Good said she will send herring… to an Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation lab…

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Feb 24, 2015:

  • 26:45 — Moses Tcheripanoff, Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium geographer: If you wouldn’t mind sharing with us a little about what’s going on here, it’s a really interesting observation.
  • 27:30 — Roderick Phillip, Environmental Coordinator for the Native Village of Kongiganak, AK: Needlefish, thousands of millions [i.e. billions] of needlefish… For about  a mile there was needlefish and smelts. Dead needlefish… It was just millions of needlefish, piles of them… and also smelts. Last year… same situation… It was the first time we heard of needlefish and smelts being flooded out of the river.
  • 29:30 – M. Tcheripanoff: How did all those fish die? … I’m trying to understand what exactly happened to cause the fish die-off… You haven’t ever seen this kind of thing happen before, other than last year?
  • 30:45 — R. Phillip: I talked to the local board and elders, they haven’t heard about this [happening before].

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium,  Local Environmental Observers Network, Feb 20, 2015: Fish die-off… Kongiganak, Alaska… This is unusual for our community to see thousands of fish dead… like last year we are starting to see this happen. I have not seen anything like this ever since I could remember for the past 35 years. Last years fish die off was the first and recently a lot more fish died off in a larger scale.

New way to protect your children from radiation. The electro smile forces you to smile even during extinction level events. If smiling protects you from radiation, the electro smile is the way to go. I wear it to bed and even when I'm having nuclear flesh-eating zombie nightmares I'm smiling away protecting myself from the deleterious effects of the random hot particle or buckyball. It's pure genius.

  • Forgive… some days I just really should NOT chew through the restraints and power up the old computer. But it's this or as my Brother-friend says, "Lock, load, hit the road." Ahhh, humor…how it saves the day. Thanx, I needed that.

Code- Apparently you read but don't comprehend. I did not say a person should remove 100% of all Potassium in the body, which can only be done by pill as potassium is most prominent and abundant in all foods – I said only to reduce it and it will give you some relief- such as if you eat 1,000 bananas a day, then only eat 100.

Further more you have not been tested or know anything about electro-magnetic sensitivities (that's the reason you do not know what EMS stands for by your attempted remarks). A medical doctor can give a pill which can clear your system of 100% of potassium overnite for a procedure (and it will not cause immediate death or need for an ambulance!!!).

Apparently you have never been through this, so you do not even know what you are talking about. And for further proof a person can live about 30 days without food…so is this potassium reduction? I think so…

I have noticed some people do talk to hear themselves talk…

      Checkmate, glad you got relief.

I thought when you said "he prescribed a drug that completely cleaned the total body of all potassium" you meant he prescribed a drug that completely cleaned the total body of all potassium. Guess you meant reduce serum potassium or did he give you sodium polystyrene sulfonate?

If you dont maintain electrolyte balance during a fast, big problems/death will occur. I dont consider it potassium reduction since the body will do whatever it can to keep the electrolyte balance

In general, reducing potassium intake is unhealthy

thanks for this I will take it to heart; "have noticed some people do talk to hear themselves talk"

      • See, Code, we were taught that we mustn't give that to those who had hypokalemia, & it was a big no-no for patients with congestive heart failure, or edema, or arrhythmia, or QT prolongation, or hypertension , or hypocalcemia, or hypomagnesemia or G.I. bleed, & colitis, even chronic constipation ruled it out…to name the ones I can recall, but looks like that was wrong?
        CAN'T be "SPS" can it?
Drug interactions we had to consider were really numerous before trying it.
Sounds like this drug, whatever it is, may skirt all those issues?
Intestinal necrosis from "SPS" is ugly, & renal failure or MI!
Not to have to monitor for T wave or those pesky U waves?
        I'm very excited about this!
Searching everywhere to find a definite go-ahead to eliminate ALL K from a body and WHAT can do so safely!
We live and learn, don't we?

Waninahi1, Im not following your post entirely. I was responding to Checkmate, saying you cant eliminate potassium nor should one attempt it. Simply you cant fool with electrolytes. These drugs that they give people for surgery or events of electrolyte imbalance are extreme emergency room conditions. There wont be any removing ALL potassium, this is the intracellular electrolyte that, among other things, creates the cell membrane voltage potential, without which there is no life.

    • Removing 100% of ALL potassium form a human system won't be harmful?
Can we get links to that 'procedure' please? How could one such as myself go back and explain to those patients lost just because of sudden LOW K levels that we were wrong, that even had they lost ALL K they should have lived?

I can hardly wait to see the evidence that having NO potassium won't kill a person!
No, seriously… this would assuage a lot of guilt in the medical profession!
      Thanks for links, proof?
      WOW!
This means I won't ever be hospitalized again myself for bottoming out!
      Yaaay!

    Sure..
"Second cancers also can arise from the same gene mutations or risk factors, such as smoking, that spurred the first one. And some of the very treatments that help people survive their first cancer, such as radiation, can raise the risk of a new cancer forming later in life, although treatments have greatly improved in recent years to minimize this problem."

    Got it! Hope so! :)

If you don't got it.. you will soon.. since increased background radiation guarantees it. :(

All the deaths of fish and sealife in the North Pacific/Alaska area..has anyone considered the contaminated MELTING SEA ICE? Radioactive fallout on sea ice which adds to the radiation levels in the Pacific Ocean as it flow into the sea? If the animals were just hanging on..the extra levels of radiation in post 3/11 melt would certainly turn a switch. Poor animals, poor ocean and environment..humans have really messed up this time..
