NHK: Level 1 nuclear incident today at Fukushima plant — “Extremely high radiation levels” found leaking near Unit 4 (VIDEO)

Published: August 19th, 2013 at 7:51 pm ET

NHK, Aug 19, 2013: […] The officials said on Monday about 120 liters of highly-radioactive water had leaked from a tank near the number 4 reactor. They detected 100 millisieverts per hour of radiation on the surface of puddles near the tanks. The maximum annual exposure limit for nuclear plant workers is 50 millisieverts. […] Officials from the Nuclear Regulation Authority assessed the problem as a level one incident on an 8-point international scale.

Kyodo News, Aug 19, 2013: Highly toxic puddles found near water tanks at Fukushima plant […] extremely high radiation levels have been found […] The NRA released a preliminary assessment of a level 1 incident on an eight-point international scale, defined as an “anomaly.” […]

AFP, Aug 19, 2013: […] TEPCO denied that toxic water had flowed into the adjacent Pacific ocean, but the Nuclear Regulation Authority ordered the utility to study the possibility that it had escaped into the sea through nearby drains. The NRA released a preliminary assessment that the incident was a level one incident on an eight-point international scale […]

Lets see, it was already at a level seven, same as Chernobyl.
    Now 7 + 1 = 8
Thats it, it's officialy off the INES charts.
    An anomaly?
Do they just start over after a level seven?

    • IMO – I would call it at least a level 21.

      Level 7 X 3 Meltdowns = 21

Add in a few extra levels for the crumbling Unit 4 Spent Fuel Pool and water storage leakage issues, (to name a few), and it's more like a level 25.

    • It is the new math… get with the FUKU program…

There is nothing wrong at FUKU, so they are cancelling the level 7 alert and starting over at 0.

Remember it is in cold shutdown. Everything is normal…

So let's all get on board with the program here..

      Read the script.

Otherwise, we will have to cancel your contract and get you fired from this lucrative assignment here at ENE..

…and don't forget the "Hallelujah, come on, get happy!// Chase radiation blues away!"

      • We Not They Finally

Yeah, we really believe "level 1"… We just don't know how many levels to ADD to it.

        • Discordian

As the Common Core educrats would have it, it doesn't matter if you got the wrong answer (Level 1), just as long as you can invent a plausible story which explains HOW you got the answer…

  • [Water] "detected 100 millisieverts per hour of radiation"

''…defined as an “anomaly.” '' – NRA assessment

Anomaly sounds so much better than, "We have no idea what to do with this highly radioactive contamination".

  • What about the other 400 tons a day going into the ocean..

Focus on the dust particle, and ignore the log in the eye.

  • Meanwhile, another 2 workers got hit with hot particles, while not wearing masks, on top of the ten that got hit a few days ago.

That sucks… knowing you just breathed in a load of $#(# and it may be the trigger for Big C, and there is NOTHING you can do about it.

  • They did not just get 'dusted', they got HOSED, internally.

What, did the workers just stop breathing while the radiation alarms were going off?

This stuff went INSIDE THE LUNGS…

Of course, they will NEVER measure this internal radiation, or track it, because they would open them up to millions of lawsuits.

This is sounding more and more chaotic…chaotic and deadly. For 2 years no news, and now suddenly all hell is breaking loose? This has been out of control for a long time, I think too many people started asking questions and they couldn't hide the facts any longer.

It's lawyers who are running the show folks, they have every loop hole in the books of the governments they have took over! The USA, hey, we will just raise the limits that humans can intake & no one will say crap! We have licked them again, lets open a bigger bank account in some other nation far from where the blows from Japan! Real people no longer have control over our government, they are mostly lawyers who only know one thing, they see out of the seat of their pants because they are all ass holes!

    • We Not They Finally

Possibly you can stop the jive talk for a second and say what you really mean. It might be easier to read or possibly even interesting. Just saying…

      • We Not They Finally

P.S. You think that LAWYERS control this? They may step in, but it's totally OUT of control. Get some perspective here. You may not like lawyers, but they're not the enemy here.

          Interesting perspectives.

Please could you list the number of laws that have been removed from the law books, since say 1776?

          • Discordian

Good one, obewan! A smile on my face at last this morning! After all, most law is pure fiction…like any self-reporting done by TEPCO and any MSM coverage of it.

Fukushima: Japanese Government, Big Business and Corporate Media Tried to Hide a Grave Threat

"The doomed nuclear reactor at Fukushima, Japan is leaking 300 tons of water into the ground and ocean every day. “Collusion among the Japanese government, big business and the corporate media worked to prevent the world from knowing about a grave threat.” Nuclear power cannot be made safe and, therefore, is too risky at any price."

    Article :
'The mainstream media, world governments, nuclear agencies, health organizations, weather reporters, and the health care industry has completely ignored three ongoing triple meltdowns that have never been contained'
We have endless releases into the Pacific Ocean that will be ongoing for not only our lifetimes, but our children’s' lifetimes. We have 40 million people living in the Tokyo area nearby. We have continued releases from the underground corium that reminds us it is there occasionally with steam events and huge increases in radiation levels. Across the Pacific, we have at least two peer-reviewed scientific studies so far that have already provided evidence of increased mortality in North America, and thyroid problems in infants on the west coast states from our initial exposures.

"We have increasing contamination of the food chain, through bioaccumulation and biomagnification. And a newly stated concern is the proximity of melted fuel in relation to the Tokyo aquifer that extends under the plant. If and when the corium reaches the Tokyo aquifer, serious and expedient discussions will have to take place about evacuating 40 million people from the greater metropolitan area. As impossible as this sounds, you cannot live in an area which does not have access to safe water.

Law is "Word Craft" and yes exactly one of reasons why we are in the mess we are in today..

Law was used for all approvals and permits etc. etc. etc.

Law is "Word Craft" and at its finest…
