Excerpts
…Serious radioactivity accumulation is made up, causing hotspots in Koriyama city [60km from Fukushima Daiichi]…
The water of the ponds has been drained… ponds in bare condition now…
The water able to shut in the radiation is not here…
Dr. Kimura investigated…
“Oh, very high!!” …
Sakubata, the bottom soil, Max about 300,000 Bq/kg…
Dr. Kimura informed residents of the results…
The center of Koriyama city.

Koriyami….36.99 miles from Fukushima NPP. I bet there are higher readings if they keep looking.

Thanks for that Jebus.
Hard to keep track of all these things, so very helpful.

Tip of the iceberg.
I'm not too far south from there. I wonder what the maternity nurses are seeing. I know the cremation ovens have been very busy since 3/11, and the biggest spike in "customers" has been babies and children. This us up and down the West Coast, especially the Pacific Northwest.

Well, that happens with or without radiation. It happened to mine too once…

jonjon,
We haven't been without elevated levels of radiation since 1945…
How old is your cat?

Notes from that video above:
The black dust is actually particulated fuel rods.
The black cyanobacteria is different.
Yoishi Shimatsu has very harsh words for the Secretary General of the U.N. (Ban Ki Moon, korean) – accusing him of genocide.
Report Comment
Genocide on a scale never before seen on this earth, in all of history.
The UN is responsible for stopping genocide, or bringing the perpetrators to justice at the International Court. The laws are very specific. Total silence from everyone about Fukushima. Someone should sue TEPCO and the Japanese government in the International Court for genocide. Then see the world light up. Any lawyers out there? Probably not even a filing fee.

Very good and poignant video. I imagine the housing areas around those parks to be a privileged neighbourhood, or not? Well it WAS, actually. Property prices will drop significantly, I guess.

Good move by the Dr. to do the tests and inform the people.
It's actually hard to come to terms with the thought that there are dozens, probably hundreds of similar sites now in Japan.
Unfixable. Done.

The video states that 'rain' is 'Natural Decontamination'.
I would disagree and say that is a line of propaganda if ever I saw one.
Especially, if you consider that the rain itself is 'hot', which it most likely is, then you are just recontaminating and accumulating.
Certainly, water can wash away some radiation, but where does it go? It simply spreads to somewhere else.
Until the spewing of goo is contained or stopped at Fukushima the cleanup or decontamination process is a never ending lost cause. Isn't that obvious?

hi chasha
from my tentative investigations in the uk.. very little of the rain is noticably radioactive.. most of the contamination is airborne..
rain acts to wash the air as well as the land..
as the waterways etc are natural hotspots, its a good idea to find them,,,
as all the early fallout data doesnt exist, these data are going to be essential to work out the original hit in an area and therefore the likely iodine 131 hit.. the reason the government are not doing the monitoring.. they need the cs 134 to be gone before they can allow testing so they can blame the cs 137 on something historical..
compensation claims mitigation??

I understand that rain/water 'normally' can wash away radioactive contamination. However, I would say, based on readings from the Jet Stream here in the USA over the last 15 months, that rain can DUMP the radiation also.
The video above is in Japan. So I would say it is prudent to assume the rain is 'hot'. Anywhere the Jet Stream goes you have the potential for what I call a 'rain dump'.
Secondarily, water washes away, but where oh where does it go. It does not disperse, not really. It just 'insidiously spreads' is a better way to describe it.
So, the thinking that water will wash it all away and things will be all better is like adding artificial sweetener to your tea, it may taste sweet, but it's just not the same anymore.
I do not understand the decontamination cleanup process at this time in Japan. Why remove top soil, drain lakes etc… it's just going to contaminate again until such time as the 'Fukushima Maltdown' has been properly suppressed.
If the Japanese people want to remain on the island the only mitigation that can somewhat work at this time is to start digging tunnels and live underground. (my opinion)
How massive amounts of 'ongoing' doses of radiation will travel and spread throughout our planet may become a scientific field of study unto itself.
I get the feeling there is more we do not know than what we actually do know about the subject of continuous radiation contamination.
But, we're…

Tracking the spread of cesium: Dr Shinzo Kimura
03-13-2012 16:21 BJT
"….It is time consuming, and costly. The equipment alone costs tens of thousands of dollars. And it is a lonely path he walks. He was forced to resign his job with a government research lab after he was told this research was not considered important. Today he relies on locals to donate what they can so he can carry on his work.
This mountainous area is well outside the government's exclusion zone. Radiation levels are high, about twenty times normal background radiation butwell within government safety limits.
Then he hits a hotspot. The Geiger counter starts to climb, it settles on 6.8 micro siverts per hour. Before the disaster normal background radiation in this area was about 0.03 micro sieverts per hour. This reading is over 200 times that….."

i really admire dr kimura.. he is trying to do a job that very few trained scientists are willing to do… he is willing to put health before profit…
my humblest respects.
notice the chinese report emphasises the point when kimura is explaining how to live in contaminated areas using remedial measures.. i would have liked to see the unedited version..
but thought this interview interesting in context with the chinese view of cesium contamination..
i now wonder how badly the chinese seas and mainland got hit??

Does anyone here have any ideas of how to neutralize the radiation?
Sending the links and the pictures of circulating radiation wont protect anyone from it
We all already know its there, the question is how to remove it!
Otherwise, here is a very funny picture:
