SOURCE: Osaka residents voice radiation concerns over Fukushima-made bridge girders, Mainichi, October 7, 2011

SOURCE: Mainichi

Residents of Kawachinagano in Osaka Prefecture have expressed concerns over radiation from girders made in Fukushima Prefecture […]

[D]uring a briefing by the Tondabayashi civil engineering office for local residents in late July, some residents took issue with possible radiation contamination from the bridge girders and asked the Osaka government to ensure their safety. The prefectural government later received similar messages of serious concern from other residents.

A private inspection entity checked the bridge girders and found the amount of radiation to be 0.7 millisieverts, as compared to an annual limit of 1 millisievert for ordinary residents set by the International Commission on Radiological Protection. […]

The article does not mention a time component for the 0.7 millisievert (700 microsievert) radiation dose equivalent.

  • Are they speaking of bridge abutments and foundation piers as in photo above or are the Girder’s laid on these piers covered with concrete as many are, and would be in later stage of building ?

Article states steel bridge girders, so the foundries ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundry ) where they are cast must be heavily contaminated in Fukushima !
We know that sludge (from sewage/water processing plants)that was being used in building material was heavily radioactive as well in many areas !

Good point. Contaminated foundries have been bothering me since you posted those industrial nuclear accident links five months ago.

      Greed being what it is…….

Hospitals sold their old medical equipment for scrap metal.
They didn’t even bother to remove the radio-active source first!!!
Many recylers and their families died from this exposure.
The were melted down and recast in our foundries.
These foundries contaminate everything they produce.

So my stainless steel teapot? Radioactive????WTF?

I found out all my TIG welding rods are HIGHLY radioactive!!!
So welders all get an internal exposure.
Heck, the gas metering valve contains a cobalt-60 source!!

So, does this mean that all metered gas is contaminated with cobalt-60?

Specifically, does medical grade oxygen use a radioactive source to meter (measure how much gas is delivered) how much the patient is receiving?

    two pints on the article

“A private inspection entity checked the bridge girders and found the amount of radiation to be 0.7 millisieverts, as compared to an annual limit of 1 millisievert for ordinary residents set by the International Commission on Radiological Protection.”

is that 0.7millisievert/hr or 0.7msivert annually?

1 millisievert set for ordinary residents …

and what about the International Expert Symposium in Fukushima
On September 11 and 12, 2011??? all the links are dead or non existant? only the icrp page showing it as an upcoming event….something iffy there methinks! oh! look what i found buried lol! another enenews first! 🙂 at the opening video right at the start you get a good view of the empty seats …lolol! just got to him going into the subject of a tissue bank! ugh! scientists with a new toy! its called fukushima….

quite clever how they are going to make money of the suffering of the population and contamination of the biosphere….
shares in science research projects in fukushima and sorrounds are going to rocket! shame they are not going to tell the full truth anyway…which brings me to them saying that it is ok to lie!! also from the article!

“Osaka Gov. Toru Hashimoto told reporters on Oct. 6, “We want to release data so as not to cause unjustified harmful rumors.”

you cant make this up! now im going to listen to all this bullcrap icrp symposium to see if i can find any truth lol 🙂
    peace

oh my god!! its really bad guys…WHO just shafted the campaign for children in fukushima!! according to margaret chans little talk ! shit(classy version)!
we have already shown the UN disregard for the pettition under the human rights for children….the international bodies are trying to move the goalposts by a wide margin….
they are going to offer improved (yet to be designed ) checking procedures and by treating the effects as opposed to removing the people away from the contamination as they did in chernobyl ,,,grrrr!!

for chans speech go to 33 minutes approx grrrrr!!
