Title: Jindal sidesteps questions about sinkhole visit
Source: The Advocate
Author: MICHELLE MILLHOLLON
Date: March 7, 2013
Asked when he might visit the sinkhole that was found Aug. 3 in northern Assumption Parish, [Gov. Bobby] Jindal did not give a direct answer. Instead, the governor listed the state agencies tasked with monitoring the sinkhole and vowed to hold someone responsible for damage to homes. [...]
The question was posed a second and third time about when residents can expect to see him. The governor repeated the same response without addressing when or if he might visit the sinkhole evacuees. [...]
The governor’s press secretary, Sean Lansing, then changed the topic of the questioning by calling on a reporter who had not raised his hand. When the reporter expressed puzzlement at his name being called, Lansing called on a different reporter. [...]

I'm glad this man's true colors are finally getting a chance to shine.

The real question now is, who is giving Jindal these orders not to go near Bayou Corne? He didn't decide this on his own.

Sounds like you folks down there have a elected a real wiener. I think you should throw some hot sauce on it. Cajun style.
Don't let him get his hands on any more political ambitions. Same carbon-copy clone of the worst kind of "leader" we have popping up everywhere. A real weed. A weiner weed

I hope the people of Bayou Corne don't become homeless and need to eat:
"Louisiana hunters are outraged after health officials forced them to destroy 1,600 pounds of donated venison — about $8,000 worth — that was meant for the state’s homeless shelters."
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/feb/25/la-health-officials-destroy-1600-pounds-venison-do/?utm_source=RSS_Feed&utm_medium=RSS
That would have fed a lot of people.

Nothing tastes as good as a meal you didn't have to kill and clean. I was expecting for the article to say it was contaminated some how. Apparently it is the law that prohibits people from eating (the Governor's?) deer in (Sherwood Forest?) Louisiana that suffers from contamination. If it isn't oil or gas should it even be talked about officially?
I do feel sorry for people who have lived their life well, who trusted officials to be the moral compasses of their respected areas of expertise. Hope they wake up soon and realize our system is broken. Our representatives are no longer representative of our will.

ENE, did you accidentally put a colon in the headline? Or should it read:
""Paper Governor" won't answer questions. . ."
You know, like paper tiger?
Doesn't hold up to the rain and wind. All bark no bite. No room for another gas bag. Afraid the lightning strike may set off unofficial gas cloud. Allergic to alligators. So many good reasons to not have him there anyway. His lack of appearances should show clearly that something is going on. We may not know what but we know by his choice of actions he is offering a front of silence.
Why don't one of you folks down there hire a cute girl/guy to seduce him and get the pillow talk. That's how that McAffe guy went about subverting a government if I remember right. Hit them in their weakness, greed, corruption, vice and reelection. That is what they are interested in.

The comment was to mention what he did was meaningless then as it is now.
As much of what he does.
At that time his concerns was about lawsuit by BP against the state — not law suit against BP– it a bit silly considering his action to be pro-BP when everything else he did at that time was anti- BP and anti-Obama.

All Mr Jindal is doing now, is drawing more attention to the question of WHY he is so trying to remain detached from this disaster. He has made it a game of antagonism, as if he will prove that he does what HE wants, and not what the people want.
He forgets…. it's …."government OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people." ….Not OF Bobby Jindal, BY Bobby Jindal, nor FOR Bobby Jindal.

Art Rockman is an expert on nothing he is an activist his opinion is no better than anyone else.
>The slant of the interview is set in the very first statement- "–if BP is found guilty"
That is not what the trial is about- BP has already plead guilty- It is about degree of guilt and what it is going to cost them–
>Cherri Foytlin- started out well and was respected by many then she decided the book deal and ambulance chasing might be more profitable trying to sue people that commited no negligence, were not involcved in tha actual spill—
> And I fail to see how any of your comments about BP has anything to do with the Bayou Corne sinkhole or if Bobby Jindal condescence to give they a visit—
Report Comment
The discussion began…considering Jindal's failure to disclose what is truly known by the governor's office concerning the BP oil spill..T
The Assumption Parish sinkhole..is being treated in a similar manner.
Except this time there was no feigning of concern..no talking out the side of his neck.
This time ..it's a straight ..blow off.

your comment are very un-informed. your post about Jindal was over 2.5 yrs old out of context and in ignorance of what was being done at that time. And today as the trial is being finalised in NOLa it means nothing
Did you even watch the Foylin YT clip? – it was about her first trip into the GoM 3 yrs previous while the well was still flowing and clean-up had just started– the date on the YT was the date she was being interviewed- NO way does it relate to conditions today—in fact today conditions are not even mentioned–
I am more of an activist than you know but have a low tolerance for BS from people playing experts or presenting BS from make believe experts- When people smell the crap they wonder what else is crap.
Now if you can produce some real documentation from a credible source pls do so—

Repost from another thread..
Some of those living in the area and affected by the sinkhole say the governor's actions are too little, too late.
"Me and my family don't want to see Governor Jindal," said one caller to a Baton Rouge radio station. "We don't want to shake hands with him. We don't want to vote for him anymore. We really don't care what he does at this point."
Listeners flooded the Clarence Buggs Show with anti-Jindal calls.
