State testing ash runoff in river water, KOB Eyewitness News 4, July 26, 2011:
People more concerned over black Rio Grande water
The State Environment Department said water is being tested as ash continues to flow down the Rio Grande from the Las Conchas fire.
But so far, state officials don’t believe any test results have come back. [...] Officials said it takes about a week to get results back. It is unknown when samples were taken. [...]

Excellent vid, Japanese artists using their talent to send an important message. Just how it should be, although I wonder if they will regret going in so close to the plant in later years

People have the right to be concerned over their drinking water, water they give to their stock, and water for their crops.
It should be tested and the results given to the public
There should be new types of filters put on before the water gets to the public, and changed out frequently.
People pay for safe clean water and that is what they should get.

They are also concerned about the dead fish in the Rio Grande; KOAT TV Albuquerque.
In a separate article (also this morning), a flurry of activity digging to re-route run-off from Los Alamos. It did not make much sense to me.
