This image was published on the photo blog of Takashi Morizumi. It appears Dr. Satoshi Mori was responsible for the x-ray-like view showing black dots spread throughout the body of a small bird from Iitate Village. The dots are said to be radioactive particles of Cs-137 internalized by eating contaminated insects.

“Takashi Morizumi is a photojournalist who covers topics in Japan and overseas such as the effects of US military bases and environmental problems. In particular, since the later half of the 90s, he has covered the damages caused by nuclear mining, testing, power plants, and the use of depleteted uranium and other nuclear weapons.” -Source

For all of our sakes', and especially, the dear innocent children, who if they survive childhood after being contaminated with senseless man-made radiation, may possibly grow up facing health problems and genetic damage to their offspring for generations to come.

Thank you for sharing this with us. In doing so, perhaps others will come forward and the realization will spread of just how widespread the damage from radiation exposure is to our health and well-being.

Only then will there be a well-spring of people calling for justice and recompense for the wrongs perpetrated by the nuclear criminals of the world.

Unless you've been actively involved in ending nuclear power (prior to 311), then you’ve been indirectly complicit in the growth of nuclear power (over these many decades) and the damage resulting from it. Unless you’ve made a conscious effort to get-off-the-grid (not one of necessity but a moral choice), then again, you’ve been complicit in the growth of nuclear power technologies.

There are only a handful of individuals (Helen Caldicott quickly comes to mind) who have dedicated their lives (and sometimes, even their freedom) to end the nightmare of nuclear power technologies. To them, I dearly apologize for having impugned such selfless efforts with the inference that we are “…all of us in this crime”.

Those who have made this life-long commitment to protecting the environment and ending the nuclear power 'life-cycle' are the true leaders of our age and likely the only reason SFP4 is being held in-check by the gods. The rest (including myself) are guilty for not loudly raising our voices (over these many decades and prior to 311) against nuclear power, and for failing to aggressively free ourselves from a lifestyle that utilized nuclear power. We are like some proverbial Christopher Reeves falling from his horse, caring-only about the gravity of a situation as we find ourselves heading towards the dirt. And yes, we – all – are now heading ‘towards the dirt’.

            [...continued]

And though I'm impressed by those who’ve managed to succeed in liberating themselves from the 'grid', unless it was actually done to emasculate the nuclear power industry (done in protest and to weaken their stranglehold over our energy needs), then such liberation is predicated on convenience and nothing more. Thankfully, such effort has led to knowledge and experience which will ultimately liberate others from nuclear power technologies. In the interim, we’ll come up with plenty of reasons as to why we haven't or can't get-off-the-grid, but excuses are something that belong in the TEPCO suggestion box. I make no excuses for not having done more to protect my fellow humans and our planet from this pervasive nightmare.

Though I’ll temper my finger pointing by refraining from including the pre-311 anti-nuclear activists, I shall hold to including the other ninety-nine-percent of us who’ve ‘arrived’ out of self-interest. Should that self-interest not wane like some half-lived isotope, but rather morph-into selfless action against nuclear power technologies, then all-the-better! But I’ll not buy into the comfortable politics of “us-versus-them”. So have at it, if you feel so inclined. From 311-on, what befalls all will be due to those of us who took little if-any action over these preceding decades, to stop nuclear power…

Insects left disfigured by nuclear radiation

    15:00 24 April 2008 by Michael Marshall

"..No one wants to live too close to a source of artificial radiation, not even insects. Cornelia Hesse-Honegger has spent 20 years travelling around the world, mostly in Europe, capturing and studying over 16,000 insects, many living in the vicinity of nuclear power stations, or other artificial sources of radiation. Her conclusion, not surprisingly, is that exposure to radiation increases the chances of deformity.

She made particularly detailed studies of the regions worst hit by the Chernobyl radioactive cloud: the south of Sweden and the Ticino canton in Switzerland. Drawing on her skills as a scientific illustrator, she made to-scale watercolour paintings of many of her specimens, illustrating deformities such as misshapen wings and stunted feelers…"

"..On The Simpsons, the effects of nuclear contamination are conspicuous and comedic. In nature, though, they're often subtle — and sometimes strangely beautiful. Scientific illustrator Cornelia Hesse-Honegger details these minute mutations in the so-called true bugs she collects near nuclear facilities and areas of chemical contamination. True bugs don't travel far, and they "suck the liquid from the plants they live on," she says. "So if the plant is contaminated, they take a lot of radioactivity into their bodies."

Conventional wisdom holds that nuclear power stations don't leak enough radiation to create malformed organisms. But in some locations, Hesse-Honegger discovered mutations — curtailed feelers, misshapen legs, asymmetrical wings — in as many as 30 percent of the bugs she gathered. That's 10 times the overall rate of about 3 percent for insects found in the wild. "For me, the mutated bugs were like prototypes of a future nature," she says. A selection of Hesse-Honegger's work will be shown this fall in Berlin…."

what you had written about damaged bugs
around nuclear power plants. Can you tell us
what happened and how it affected your work?
Because the scientists scolded me and my work was in
the media, I thought that if the radioactivity from
Chernobyl was too low to cause deformations, the true
bugs around the nuclear power plants should be healthy
because there the radioactivity emitted by the chimneys
    is even lower.

But I was surprised and full of sorrow
when I collected deformed bugs. One has to know that
the deformation on these small animals cannot be seen
by the naked eye while collecting; only afterwards with a
microscope can one see the anatomical alterations.
When I published this work, scientists were extremely
angry and for months the media was very busy discussing
my work. The development of events showed, however,
that the biologists had never monitored this kind of

    power plants.

I felt very insecure, not about my paintings
or research but about the way I was treated: a single
person against hundreds of scientists who had the ‘truth’

    "…Janette Sherman:
One of the scientists whose photograph is on the cover of the book is Tim Mousseau from the University of South Carolina. [6] He's led over 25 groups of scientists to the Chernobyl area. They have studied insects and birds and animals and owls and all kinds of different animals as to what is going on.

He said [during] one of the trips he made, that he suddenly realized there were no bees. There was no fruit falling on the ground. And he realized there was no fruit falling on the ground because there were no bees that had pollenated the trees. So he is predicting, and this may indeed happen, that there could indeed be a complete loss of species around Chernobyl as a result of these isotopes that are still decaying that could wipe out entire species.

After all it is a major bird transport area, a migration area. And we don't know what's happening when the birds come through, …."

Speaking of birds… My observation of wildlife birds in my backyard in West Texas is that numbers are way down from previous years. I have a fruited mulberry tree that normally attracts hundreds of birds daily. I see about a dozen daily this year. The ones that are here look pretty good, so that is some comfort. If it had been a totally silent spring I would be pretty pessimistic about all our chances. As long as there is life there is hope.

Try to grasp the idea that this was NO accident.

The first of the reactors melted down BEFORE the "quake" and the quake itself was no natural occurrence, instead an intentionally triggered event utilizing high-energy low frequency microwave radiation energy transmitted through the ionosphere and focused with precision by a giant Tesla-based transmitter array known as HAARP, of which many like it exist all over the planet.

In addition to weaponizing weather and hiding behind "plausible deniability" by causing "natural disasters" such as quakes and volcano eruptions, thanks to STUXNET from Mossad we can credit the nuke plant's meltdown prior to the quake as yet another "false flag" attack, this time blaming that terrorist Mother Nature.

Rubbish, all of it. Japan knows and won't admit it because they are suffering payback for not going with the program – and had been warned. This after paying for the Toyota sham, where the same technology allowed certain Prius accelerators to stick – by remote control.

Now pandora's box is open and the genie is out, and we are all gonna pay for the rest of our lives while we watch those around us die and suffer endlessly.

But ah, isn't that all part of the Edomite agenda anyway? To kill off all the "goyim" – translated – anyone but their bloodline?

    Sadly the answer is YES.

My observations+critique (if one assumes, one must challenge!)

By comparing the source images and noting the obvious discrepancies, my findings are that the x-ray imagery shows only beta- radiation (Cs-137 produces beta- and gamma when disentegrating, c.f. wikipedia).

If gamma radiation was measured, I’d expect to observe 100% correlation between the 2 images, which is not the case when comparing one with the other (inverted vertically for easier matching: http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/364/birdbetarad.png). For the record gamma radiation passes trough matter but beta- doesn’t pass trough much, as it interacts with matter by ionization (source: wikipedia).

As my findings indicate only beta- radiation measurment, my conclusions are that contrarly to the claim in the article “The [spots] in the body parts show the radioactive particles taken into the body”, the spots show *the radioactive particles deposited on the feathering*. In addition, I find it logic by relating the fact that there are more spots on the back than on the belly with my assumption that a bird, especially an ill bird, would have much more difficulty to clean his back than his belly.

Please write me back if your conclusions differ, I would be interested to know if and how my analysis could be flawed.

LegionNetworkCH, an observation based on my having kept domestic canaries over a period of years a long time ago.

The images do tend to support your view that it is the feathers that are emitting the detected radiation.

My comments to this are that feathers experience rapid growth over the year before being moulted for the new feathers to erupt. Moulting IIRC is a matter of the spring and summer months, the large wing and tail feathers being the last ones to go, the small body covering feathers in contrast being moulted over a longer period, maybe even throughout the year.

One would look therefore for the radiation dots to be positioned in accordance with the growth process in the feathers. In this case it looks like we have a radiation uptake around half way along the primary wing feathers and a later one more recently at the attachment of the feathers.

I would also like to point out that to the best of my recollection the primary wing feathers will not all be moulted in the same year: some one year, others later.

We can also see that the radiation marks appear in corresponding points in the two images, in particular four spots on the left wing and two on the right. This might suggest a more powerful source capable of reaching through the wing material which of itself is not by any means solid.

Finally, my interpretation is that the spots corresponding to internally absorbed radiation taken up and carried by the body's normal mechanisms of growth…

      • LegionNetworkCH

        Misitu,
Thanks for your valuable information about the feathers moulting process; altought my relative knowledge of nuclear physics and biology heavily support the general assumption, my questions were more about explaining the radio discrepancies.

First some good points from a discussion with a friend:
        - I may have mixed up about the radios sides. Usually the reactive plate is under the white plate you can see under the bird in the photos. From this perspective, the second radio is the belly side exposure, not the back exposure -> conclusion: belly more exposed than back.
        - About radiology: x-rays are physically gamma radiation but in a slighter different order of magnitude than gamma radio band, in contrast to beta- which is particulate (electron). Therefore, recording beta- requires different reactive material than the plates that are used in conventional x-ray machines. (I have doubts abouth this conclusion, additional info welcome).
        - About exposure: it was mentionned that the radios took a month, so we could explain the discrepancies between the two radios by the rapid decay of certain elements (iodine?), which once at the end of their decay cycle don't irradiate anymore. In that regard, the belly-side radio would have been taken first. BUT! The 2 photos were taken with 1 minute interval (they are timestamped – but not the radios), so arguments are in conflict and therefore conclusion is impossible because of a lack of basic information.

        Any toughts?

These shocking bird photos clearly demonstrate the dangers of ingested radiation. If you use these photos as a resource to point out to people that ingested radiation from contaminated food, air, or water, can radiate body cells with high doses of radiation for long periods of time.

This is a clear counter to the nuclear lobby argument that is like having an X-ray. Yes, probably would be if you swallowed the X-ray machine and locked the on switch on. :)
