Carlsbad Current-Argus, Sept. 9, 2014: DOE will provide WIPP update next week — It appears the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant is far from reopening… According to photographic evidence made public by the DOE, it appears a chemical reaction caused an explosion inside one of the waste drums. The explosion melted through portions of the drum, and the incident triggered a small release of americium and plutonium into the outside air about half a mile from the facility.

“Plutonium… about half a mile from the facility”? Recently published air monitoring data from the state of New Mexico indicates that soon after the WIPP radioactive release 3 types of plutonium were found nearly 30 miles away in Carlsbad, the state’s 10th largest city. The levels were similar to those found within the nuclear site’s boundary:

  • WIPP NW Border, 2/21-2/28: Plutonium-238 = 0.015 pCi/sample (Lab minimum detectable activity [MDA] = 0.0082)
  • WIPP site, 2/21-2/28: Plutonium-239/240 = 0.0092 pCi/sample (MDA = 0.0062)
  • WIPP site, 2/28-3/11: Plutonium-238 = 0.027 pCi/sample (MDA = 0.024)
  • Carlsbad, 25+ mi. away, 2/28-3/11: Plutonium-238 = 0.016 pCi/sample (MDA = 0.0074)
  • Carlsbad, 25+ mi. away, 2/28-3/11: Plutonium-239/240 = 0.022 pCi/sample (MDA = 0.0074)

More Plutonium-241 was released from WIPP than all other plutonium isotopes combined, yet officials have not included it in any publicly available test results:

  • Plutonium-241 = 15,900 dpm
  • Plutonium-239/240 = 11,600 dpm
  • Plutonium-238 = 514 dpm

Wouldn't it be amazing if a public official actually came out of the nuclear closet and stated "This accidental release will be harmful to the unlucky ones who encounter it." If the nuclear material release is so harmless and repeated thousands of times continues to be so safe, why is cancer and heart disease headed for much higher levels than we have ever seen? The background radiation levels are on the rise again and this time it has nothing to do with nuclear weapons and everything to do with disasters at NPPs.

It has often required a lot of time to find the hidden pieces to our history, the ugly parts in particular. Researchers find the records. The participants often furnish the information. In time logical and factual explanations for the gaps in our history emerge.

Thanks to scholars we have a more focused view of the European Banking practices of the early nineteenth century, we are seeing more facts regarding the Coup d'état of some 50 years ago and the 911 Twin Towers incident is shockingly coming into focus, The present nuclear meltdowns and ecological disasters will be understood in time. Truth, like water, will find a path. The cover up commissions choices of witnesses and evidence are being exposed as a formula that is a stacked deck, totally controlled.

In Fukushima we see the same formula of highly paid government officials containing the facts with fabrication and subterfuge. In time the lies and liars, Industry and Government, will be uncovered along with the truth. The Nuclear and government directors get up the authority ladder by “playing ball” and avoiding personal exposure.

I would hope some brave professionals in the military/nuclear industry would come forward as the Architects, Scholars and Explosives Experts have in the 911 Truth Movement. Truth is called TOP SECRET, reality is called EYES ONLY and bravery is called YOU.

      STAY AWAKE – PEACE

One of the biggest issues I see with this Nuclear Nightmare, since it already exists, is the inability to quickly monitor and access an event.

Protecting the public's health seems secondary to controlling the public's perception of the Nuclear Industry. ;)

To the contrary, it is likely that they monitor and assess all the time. Just don't release results. Like Obama did not take his own personal family to South America to get out of the way of the original oncoming plume from Fukushima for NO reason. Monitors weren't successively turned off for NO reason. The EPA didn't raise so-called "acceptable" radiation levels to post-lethal for NO reason.

I was in denial about Obama taking his family to South America for such a long time.. just didn't want to believe it, but .. how many times has he taken his family on other events? ALMOST NEVER! That is what makes it even more real to me now.

Today, Sept 13, Carlsbad NETC count is dangerously high. It started Sept 11, going from around 140 cpm, to close to 300 cpm, spiking up and down from 200 to almost 300 and is still up over 200, has not dropped. Is something happening at WIPP..are they venting the site over the weekend? Something has caused this uptick! And this is not at WIPP is miles away.

jec, the graph you linked is a suspicious one on its face. As are MANY, and spottable. You see where it seems to keep flat-lining across? That's not plausible as real readings, which continually fluctuate. I think it's to avoid letting the public know about the actual spikes.

So likely it's been dangerously high all along.

The flat lines are when the monitor is not recording. This could be because it is turned off or detached from the graph. Or it could be because the radiation destroys the monitor and they have to use a new one (multiple times). That's probably the real reason they leave monitors turned off around the country. The high levels of radiation destroy the monitors.

This is marked as a 21-agency disaster preparation.

21 agencies? Curious about that one. Like how many are federal, how many local, how many military, how many medical, who has control and command?

While buying ice cream at a leading store selling ice cream from across the country, you might not ask 'Do have vanilla?'. Assuming the 99% availability of vanilla and lots of it is an option. ☻
