In the first arrest in relation to the yakuza’s role in Japan’s nuclear industry since last March’s devastating earthquake and tsunami, police in Fukushima charged a senior yakuza leader for illegally dispatching workers to the reconstruction at the TEPCO-run Fukushima Daichi Nuclear Power Plant. According to reports by Sankei Shinbun and other sources, the Organized Crime Control Division has arrested a senior boss of the Sumiyoshi-kai (住吉会) who dispatched men, including yakuza members to a construction subcontractor in Tochigi Prefecture, and these men were sent into the nuclear plant area where they allegedly participated in containment work for the damaged facilities.

And to think! These are the same people who are suggesting entombment of these wrecked reactors…

  • Might be the Yakuza 'workers' (who are more skilled at other types of 'work') are turning their bosses in.

Problem is, if we can't have them there, who else are they going to send?

Forgetting SFP4 for a moment, what happens if the worker pool collapses? (= abandoning the plant).

@Pu239: "…what happens if the worker pool collapses?" Well, I'm sure there's a paper-trail that lists all of the those who got us here. That's a good starting point…

    • I would call it a 50/50 chance on which 'pool' fails first.

      Fuel pool vs Worker pool:
Either way, one failure will most likely lead to the next.

…and the next …and the next.

      Also to consider:
      Fool pool vs Money pool:
      These 'pools' will also fail.
      (my opinion)

Concerning criminality connected with TEPCO & the Japanese nuclear power establishment, my guess would be that this particular issue – Yakuza illegally dispatching workers, etc. – is a bit like a pimple compared to a tumor. This is small change stuff, relatively speaking.

Probably TEPCO & the Japanese government have been quaking in their boots concerning the criminal underground that supports – that IS – the Japanese nuclear establishment.

They have a whole lot to hide. I would guess that this is a, or THE, main reason that Japan has refused the assistance & involvement of other nations which have offered to help.

BUT – Japan does not stand alone in this regard. The underworld/criminal connection is almost certainly there, regarding the nuclear establishments of (probably) all other countries which have nuclear power plants/weapons.

So the rabbit trail, if followed, of corruption in the international nuclear establishment is a kind of tip-of-the-iceberg, the study of which would lead us to discovering the DEEP CORRUPTION UNDERLYING VIRTUALLY ALL MAJOR GOVERNMENTS.

Another area in which this is true is the internat'l drug trade. Studying this whole issue reveals that govts & crime syndicates such as the Mafia have been running this lucrative trade together, in cooperation, & that these substances are kept illegal TO KEEP PROFITS -ROI- HIGH.
    (ROI = return on investment).

Katherine Austin Fitts has done excellent research on this subject.

There is LOTS of deception going on with all monopolies, and there are plenty of them…

@ AGreenRoad, I might have said this already (I think my pain problem & the stress of this whole nuclear disaster is making me scattered & disorganized – even more so than usual!) but I wanted to say it yet again – your blogspot is so good – great information and you are always very positive, kind, and respectful.

Thanks for your excellent research and work and for your presence and participation here on enenews.

When you see these 'small change' kind of crack-downs, you wonder – hope – that a real clean-up operation is swinging into action; but all to often it is a token sort of thing – "See, there was corruption and organized crime involvement, but by golly we found out about it and have taken care of it!"

I am sure it was the lowest rung of the mob, not even smart enough to know they are being killed by radiation, or they were being punished for being inept.
