Title: Nuclear Watch: Pacific Tuna Survey
Source: NHK Newsline
Date: Oct. 9, 2013

At 0:45 in

NHK: The samples come from 20 bluefin tuna caught off California between May and August of last year. Researchers at Stanford University studied the same fish and said they detected low levels of radioactive cesium. They concluded the source of the contamination was the nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi plant. […] Now, [Kinki University Professor Hideo] Yamazaki and his team will analyze the tissue to measure the levels of cesium. […] He says people would face no risk even if they ate the samples. He’s studying fish that migrate across the ocean to understand how radioactive particles spread in the environment.

Professor Hideo Yamazaki, Kinki University: The tuna could have been contaminated off the coast of Japan. They could have also absorbed radioactive substance that traveled across the Pacific. I can think of numerous processes of contamination. We need to do a detailed study to find out exactly what is happening. […]

Cesium contaminated tuna…? It's from Fukushima, but safe for human consumption. I'll bet my research grant money on your being able to eat tuna and sushi to your heart's content.

It doesn't matter how the tuna were exposed to the cesium: off the coast of Japan, from the middle of the Pacific or airborne particles that fell in rain, bioaccumaltion, etc…

    It's contamination
    it won't hurt you
    its called contamination
    because its good for you
    Just a little E.Coli
or radioactive cesium. plutonium, or strontium
    Put it in a shaker
and add a bit for flavor, just like sage.
    Just ask your baker
    it's all the rage,
It's contamination, the spice of life
    Azodocarbamide, pesticide
    it's in your bread
    it goes without saying
fear is all in your head.
It doesn't matter the customer is still paying.

  • unincredulous unincredulous

Azodicarbonamide, my spelling was wrong. Banned in some countries, it's use illegal with stiff fines, and/or jail time.

It's getting so hard to keep eating healthy, they might as well sell chocolate covered spent fuel rods.

    • bo bo

Azodicarbonamide, yes, included in most common brands of bread.

So is L – Cysteine, which is sourced mainly from human hair (they collect from barbershops, and possibly from dead bodies in China). For example, both Panera and Dunkin Donuts bagels include L- Cysteine. I guess hair is organic… so you'd think it's not as bad as a chemical. But hair is also where toxins in your body end up (that's why coroners take hair samples)

So then one tries organic bread from credible bakers…
But they still use common baking powder which includes aluminum.

So then one tries switching to rice….
And rice contains arsenic, and organic rice is higher in arsenic than non-orhanic.

      We are poisoning ourselves.
It's sad too because these poisons we are putting in our foods that I talk of in this post can easily be stopped, unlike radiation. But there seems to be no will by the FDA or EPA to do anything about it.

              "..I'm slow.." LOL !

Me too , uni me too , those article's give again a new added understanding the nuclear industry…about how long and how many way's we are already consuming this stuff but kept unknow about lowlevel radiation damage and generational damage and the other's as they knew it , there whas alway's a difference.. , and to see the evolution of the creative way's they alway's found/find to made/make some extra money out of it..out of making bombs i mean.. and fighting every possybility for the public to claim a connection between their health and the doings of the industry in lockstep every second along the way i guess..and politik in lockstep/symbiose with that dynamic or visaversa..whilest we/all life are cumulating like guineapigs..and literally be told to keep smiling untill we melt..
And this is actually a deseased behaviour of the whole system..not only nuclear..but almost every pillar is shaking of sicness and disharmonics..our system..and as a consequences..the system we are a subsystem in..a nurtured one..and so should she be..by us..

This medical device was patented in 1912 by R. W. Thomas and manufactured by the Radium Ore Revigator Co., which sold thousands of them in the 1920s and 1930s. It was basically a ceramic water crock lined with radioactive materials (uranium, vanadium, radon), lead and arsenic.

They got a PATENT on it. Basically a dirty bomb, just add explosive. I wonder who or how many morons bought that

No…I wouldn't..also vegan..do you eat them ?! According to a sushi chef in NYC I talked to, only about 1% of Americans like uni. Have you ever tried natto? That's probably more like 0.01%

              • Ya, I ferment my own natto and kimchee. got 3 things fermenting on kitchen counter… also 6gal Carboy of hard apple cider, just started bubbling.

                • bo bo

                  You're a Japanese diet bildeberger!!

                  • The K vitamins in natto make Vitamin D—- 10 times more effective. No brainer stuff there.

Kimchee has tons of peppers, garlic, and ginger, perhaps the 3 healthiest things in the food world. And lots of bacteria from the fermentation (I eat fresh too). Since starting the Kimchee my often stomach problems and acid problems are 95% gone.

The hard cider….well thats a whole different story

                    stock out

"We don’t know exactly what is happening"

"They could have also absorbed radioactive substance that traveled across the Pacific. I can think of numerous processes of contamination"

All possible processes for contamination are occurring…correct.

The radiation contaminated water is moving with the currents…
The tuna (and several other types of fish) follow the currents during migration.
Radiation is a travel companion along the way.

    • MichaelV MichaelV

Let'stake your hypothesis and apply for a big fat grant to test it's validity.

Think they will let us publish the results..?

  • Socrates

We are back to the controversy about the effects of continuous exposure to low doses of radiation from food.

If bluefin tuna from the Pacific is eaten several times per week, you get methyl mercury, PCBs and cesium.

Which is worst? There is good evidence that carcinogenicity works synergistically.

I am still eating Salmon because I am on a Paleolithic diet. King salmon from the Columbia River with Hanford radiation or Coho Salmon from Alaska – $12.99 a pound and it may kill you.

On all fronts the extreme stupidity of modern man is killing us slowly. First, we extended our lifespans; but those gains will reverse when multiple diseases increase mortality and morbidity. The Standard American Diet alone will bring early diseases. Google: Paleolithic Diet. Dr. Cordain explains it.

  • Sickputer

I always doubted those sampled tuna were from near Japan. The fisherman in Japan have essentially wiped out the bluefins:

    http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2013/jan/09/overfishing-pacific-bluefin-tuna

The sickness of seals and starfish off Northern American coasts is the clue to how radiation arrived faster than they expected, but they won't admit it yet.

  • 😉 @2:40 (approximately) on the video it states…

Tuna migration is from 1 to 4 MONTHS.
    (Japan to US west coast)

Yet the data/information we are fed is over 1 year old and this insidious catastrophe has continued unabated for 31 MONTHS.

So it seems to me like a 'no brainer' to test the fish MONTHLY, at an absolute minimum… and report the results in a timely manner.

I question as to 'why' this is not so.

    MONTHLY testing?

  • @GroundZero

I recall seeing a Tuna Migration chart in Okinawa that shows the circuitous route tuna take from spawning near Okinawa up to Japan east coast as they mature then across the Pacific to the US west coast then down to Okinawa on the return leg.
