June 11, 2012 tweets by Gunma University Professor Yukio Hayakawa translated by EXSKF:
I was still wandering about in Tsushima when a police car came up and questioned me. [...]
On my way out, I said to them, “The radiation levels are high here, so please take care.” Out of the blue, their commander said, “Slander and calumny!” I was taken aback. I figured they had been told [about the high radiation levels] many, many times.

The most surprising thing to me was that he knew the word "calumny."

This is typical reaction you get from outside of anti-nuclear thinkers. I've decided to let them be. They find it terribly disturbing that someone challenges their belief. We'll see who got it right soon or later.

hi markww it would help your cause if you could write in english sentences people might understand you better i don't know whether you are illiterate or whether you are just in a hurry have a good day
Report Comment
That's a funny remark, given the lack of puctuation and capitalization in your run-on sentence.
Mark,
I think your post was understandable, but it has been a de facto internet standard for quite some time, that if one writes in ALL CAPS, it implies "shouting." Maybe that's what you intended?

draw your own conclusions. i have. i will never see japan in my life time and am planning to go see the chinese wall and their culture before they adopt the same "values" as japan."
ogilvy and maher dont mes about then…
normal average background in the uk last summer after fukushima and before the budapest disaster, mercoule etc etc etc
0.06 mcSv/h with a range hitting zero on occasion and struggling to get over 0.10 mcSv'/h
since allinsons wades advice of 100 millisieverts/month and the need to make more money on the decommissioning process the average after all the above and the ongoing LARGE emmissions in europe
new average is nearer 0.13 mcSv/h new low end of the range 0.05 mcSv/h mostly over 0.10 mcSv/h
bit of a difference..
hope allinson wade is right…/sarc

just after the air monitoring project in may???
"EU atmospheric research project ready for take off
Climate scientists will launch a mission on May 4 to investigate the relationship between atmospheric chemistry and climate change from an airship above the skies of Europe. The European Commission-funded research project PEGASOS (Pan-European Gas AeroSOL Climate Interaction Study) involves twenty-six partners from fifteen EU member states. The project team will leave from Friedrichshafen in Germany and over 20 weeks fly across Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Slovenia, Italy and France to measure the chemistry of the air. The project's findings are expected to provide a sound scientific basis to better fight climate change and improve air quality in Europe."

"..In August 2009, ČEZ sought bids for two pressurized water reactors (PWRs).[25] As of 2010 the companies bidding for the project are Areva, Westinghouse Electric Company, and a consortium[26] of ŠKODA JS, Atomstroyexport and Gidropress. The winner of the tender was planned to be made public in 2011.[27] Shortly after the Fukushima nuclear accidents, Prime Minister Petr Nečas announced that the construction of new reactors will continue according to the original plans,[28] but with the tender selection delayed to 2013.[29]…."

Brussels report on nuclear power finds no common safety standards
Jean-Pierre Stroobants
Guardian Weekly, Tuesday 29 November 2011
"The European commission last month released a preliminary report on the stress tests carried out on Europe's nuclear power plants. The document is only 15 pages plus annexes, but some countries seem to have already drawn their own conclusions.
The Czech Republic affirms that its nuclear power stations are not at risk from major earthquakes or floods.."
"..Nor does it answer the objections raised by Greenpeace, which holds that 12 plants in eastern Europe are dangerous and should be decommissioned. Nor yet is there any mention of testing evacuation plans…

Right after 9/11 the burning pits were producing phenomenal amounts of strange toxins. Mostly combinations of asbestos, PCBs and metals which any fool could realize was hazardous yet the EPA and the authorities were telling people that it was safe and to carry on. They had hundreds of police and firefighters standing around for days, when they needed to let the fires burn out and decontaminate the immediate area instead.
