plus a dozen other radionuclides even more toxic. Now the news is spewing the half-truth that you get more radiation from the Sun than from these particle emitters. That’s accurate, but what they fail to mention is that the SUN provides NON-IONIZING RADIATION (which is good for you and you need it, as does all life on Earth) and these particles are IONIZING RADIATION, which causes cancers, cellular disruption, and DNA damage.

But these computer models are fiction. It’s very difficult to say what will occur … five days …
The ones I’ve seen so far predict what will be small concentrations of iodine in California and western Canada as well.

My advice would be: Watch very the carefully the weather patterns. Go on to the New York Times for example.

… And if there are lifted, high concentrations … coming ashore…
… and … would be a good idea … but only where you think we’re quite clear that there are predicted high levels of contamination arriving on the west coast.
My advice would be extremely the case for children, less so for adults. If you’re living, if people are living relatively near the coasts, then they automatically will have very good levels of iodine in their thyroid. It’s only in areas where, further inland–I’m talking about hundreds of miles–where thyroids are known to have a [deficiency?]. On the coast itself, say about 40, 50 miles or so, I think adults really shouldn’t worry so much. But children, where thyroids are actively growing, they always are on the lookout for iodine.
So it would be a good idea to give them … iodine tablets. You can find the amounts on the side of the bottle, or the packet …
